Great point about the keyring. I carry a Classic SD on my keys, and have thought about using something detachable so I can take the knife off my keys when I want to use it. The Rambler looks very cool! Congrats on hitting 600, my friend!
Yes, for several years now they don't give any papers. The very interesting thing is that I just bought three Ramblers from Amazon and all three came with no boxes, but in fake leather holsters or slipcovers whatever you may call it. And, yes, I absolutely love Rambler, but prefer if it's alox
It's weird b/c I just got a brand new Victorinox Farmer X and it came with the instructions/warranty paper in the box?!! I guess some of the retailers I've purchased from must have a bunch of new/old stock laying around?!! Anyway, thanks for watching, take care and Cheers!
@@singingtoad it's weird because for last several years I have purchased around forty plus Vics and all came with no papers. My guess, some knives were made for some other countries
Right on! I've wanted to get the Ramble for quite some time, but just never pulled the trigger on it until only recently. I heard Victorinox is discontinuing a bunch of models, so I figured I should snap this one up before they decide to put it on the chopping block. Thanks for watching, I appreciate your continued support. Take care my friend and Cheers!
Hey Dave, Great review buddy👍🏻 I keep saying I’m going to pick a Rambler up, must get round to it!I’ve had the SD on my keys for years but prefer the layout and tool set on the Rambler. Thanks for this one brother, have a great weekend 😎👍🏻
I picked up one this week second hand for £15, when they’re £33 brand new - the scales are a bit scuffed up (a shame as they’re a nice translucent green), but all the tools are in good condition. How useful is it? Errr I haven’t really needed it yet, but it’s so light I can easily keep it on me for when I do. The small Philips driver did actually work on tiny screws of an old Casio watch, as well as some much bigger ones on a pcv frame.
Thanks for watching! I got this Rambler to replace my original SD classic on my keychain. I agree, it doesn't get used as often as my other EDC knives, but when in a pinch, it's nice to have. Take care and Cheers!
In old Japanese movies, Zatoichi the blind swordsman had a sword that would cut through stone, it must have been made from that magnacut. A litte high on price for small knife, but it is a big improvement over the sd, congrats on the 600 subs, and thanks for the review.
I keep an SD Classic and a Gerber dime in the pocket. The Classic is more for nail care and the toothpick. I need the small pliers often but the scissors and filler on the Classic are much better than the dime. If I didn't need the pliers the rambler might be a good option. Thanks for the great vid and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
I like both, the SD has more cool looking theme covers and I don't carry a ton of things on my car keys. A heavy set of keys hanging off your ignition switch will make your ignition switch stop working. When it does you find out they cost a fortune. 🐸😖
Luckily my '21 WRX has push button start and doesn't require a key. So having a ton of junk attached to my wireless keyfob doesn't really matter to me...lol Granted, the Rambler doesn't weigh a ton more than the SD anyway. Anyway, I'm rambling again so I must digress. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts, I greatly appreciate it. Take care my friend and Cheers!
I know right? It's terrible how we all get sucked into this crazy rabbit hole of collecting knives...lol 🤣Thanks for watching, take care my friend and Cheers!
Hey Toad Good job cutting your fire wood 🪵 I don't understand why you need such a large knife? I cut my fire wood with my Classic SD!!!!! Great video!! Really enjoy your channel thanks 😊 👍
Yeah, it's weird when your voice deepens and you start growing hair in places you never had before. Only with me, the hair is falling off my head and landing on my butt...lol 🤣Take care my friend and Cheers!
Great video! I like how you mentioned being a father. When my daughter was younger I carried a Rambler all the time and called it the "dad knife". Gave a few as gifts to other dads too. It's the perfect SAK for dealing with toy packaging, battery changes, cutting tags, and on and on.
The opening was perfect just like Magnacut, which has made every steel ever created in the history of the world completely obsolete. As a matter of fact, any company not using Magnacut is stupid and their products are absolute junk. Lol.
OK, funny opening. Funny! Had me laughing.
Congratulations on 600+ subscribers!!
Great video. Happy Saturday!
Cheers, RW
Thank you very much! Take care and Cheers!

Very nice comparison. Now I know which is the better choise.
Glad I could help! Take care and Cheers!

I love the Rambler. My most-carried knife for the last few years. In addition to some other knife. Also, I think a Rambler plus a Hiker is perfect.
I'm very happy to have a Rambler now myself, dandy little keychain SAK. Thanks for watching. Take care and Cheers!
Congratulations on 600 subscribers! I have the Manager plus. Which is similar to the Rambler. It’s part of my summer edc. Take care.

Congrats on 600 and wishes for continued success my friend!
Nice little 5th pocket knife there.
Good stuff as always!

Great video brother. The Rambler is cool. Same toolset as my favourite - the Midnite Manager
Thanks for popping by and I appreciate your help and support, you have been a great mentor. 🙏Take care my friend and Cheers!

Am the same I would choose the rambler over the SD any day I always keep a rambler or mini champ in my 5th Jean pocket every day
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. Take care and Cheers!
The only problem is the price jump from the classic SD to the Rambler is BIG!
This is true. Thanks for watching. Take care and Cheers!
I have bought a couple in boxes without paperwork...not suprised
It seems rather hit and miss, most of the Victorinox knives I've bought all had paperwork. Anyway, thanks for watching, take care and Cheers!

Can't beat a little SAK, the Rambler is a good alternative to the Classic SD. The Philips driver is a great addition.
Thanks for sharing my friend.
