You guys forgot to mention the best part of the game: Resident Evil 4 is a game in this universe. If you go visit Rodin he says, “Hey, check this out: ‘Whadda ya buyin’?’ Heh. Saw that in a game once.”
The plane trip actually makes sense; due to the earth rotation and jet streams in high altitude, you actually NEVER want to go east unless it's a very short, continental, low altitude flight.
Believe it or not, a lot of angels as described in the Old Testament were monstrous in appearance. That's why they had to do the whole, "Fear not mortal, for I am a messenger of the Lord thy God," every time they appeared. Glad you two are doing my favorite action game.
The best part about this series is that while it centers on games that are, shall we say On Brand for Jesse, it's all about positivity and celebrating said games. We need more content like this.
Nier then Bayonetta? Calling it now, the next piece of insanity is definitely Revengeance. Or maybe Vanquish, but that one is a lot less of a ridiculous premise with a crazy lovable cast.
@@Megaboss_Bor my biggest pull to play Nier:Automata was knowing they made Bayonetta and Revengeance. My interest in playing Revengeance came from finding out it was made by the guys who made Vanquish, with a sort of similar theme of robots and mechs. I played the demo of that game so many times on 360 back in the day. Never thought I would get the chance to ever play Bayo or Vanquish when I transitioned fully into PC gaming. So happy that they all exist on here now. Prospect not so good for Bayo 2 and 3 though. Nintendo doesn't do PC. Ironically one of the big reasons I gained renewed interest in FFXIV and its new expansion is hearing that the raid will be based on Nier.
Couple things: 1. Bayo2 is just as crazy and should also be played or Astral Chain. Platinum Games are basically made for this show due to how insane they are. 2. The ending description is a bit inaccurate. Bayonetta and Jeamne summon the the demon version of Jubileus (her name is Queen Sheba) who then punches Jubileus' soul out of her body into the sun, and then you have to destroy the pieces of her body before they crash down into earth.
Her mom used to sing her fly me to the moon, there is a cutscene that shows this. her mom being behind bars and little Cereza sleeping on the floor on the other side.
I played Bayonetta at a friend's place once, and the next day I immediately went out and bought a copy. I never got a chance to finish it but booooooy was it a wild ride and I loved every second of it. It's such a fun and crazy video game. I love it and the character.
Santell was onto something. Bayonetta wrote the Sinatra song, then put it into Sinatra's genius river so that it flowed into him at some point and then he could make it the song we all love and know, but only she knows how it happened. Yes, Bayonetta is a lounge singer and Frankly, I don't need anymore than that.

It was nice watching this. Some fun interesting things to say about Bayonetta and another game franchise... Enzo is also a character in the Devil May Cry franchise, having done the same kind of work for DMC's Dante that he now does for Bayonetta. Originally in Devil May Cry, Dante once went by the name Tony Redgrave. Dante was a fan of a certain person and used that person's name as an alias when Dante needed to hide his identity. In Bayonetta that person is likely the father of Lucas. In Bayonetta concept art, DMC's Dante can be seen losing to Enzo at a game of poker. Enzo is wearing Dante's coat with a shit-eating grin plastered on his face. Last fun thing to point out... In the first Bayonetta game, you can get an item that gives the player a more controllable form of witch time, one that can last much longer than the normal version. That item's description say it was made by a extraordinarily witch named Eva who worked with a powerful demon known as a dark knight. Eva is the name of the mother of DMC's main character Dante. Dante's father was also powerful demon known as the legendary dark knight. Also the time based item can be found in the first Devil May Cry game, just with a slightly altered name. I just thought it would be fun to point these things out.
Okay. That intro. I know they're talking about Lollypops but my anime-fan mind hears them saying "Lolis" which makes this all MUCH MORE "officer wait no!"
I saw a brief segment of the game where the protagonist fights a guy who's bigger than the planet and he was like the first boss, is that the game you mean? Cuz if so, then I second your motion for them to play Asura's Wrath.
Bayonetta is one of my most favorite games of all time and I own it for almost every platform it has come out on. It is such a wonderful game, glad that you featured it on the Gaming Club.
So up to this point I have watched all three episodes. My reactions: Neir Automita - I needed therapy. That was a little too deep. Deadly Premonition - this doesn’t sound fun. Like what is this game? Bayonetta - the perfect game for a show like this. The enthusiasm was intoxicating. Keep up the amazing work. These are really fun to watch.
Even better, if you read the inscription on the side of the lipstick, you learn it was a gift from Bayonetta's father (Balder) to her mother (Rosa). Rosa must have given it to Bayonetta years ago, and now she's returning it to Balder.
You should absolutely play AI: the Somnium Files. Loads of naughty humour, murder mystery plot that keeps taking you in completely unexpected directions, and has this weird pervasive feeling that there's something ever so slightly off about this world you're in. It's honestly one of the best narrative experiences I've ever played
I was waiting for this to come out since deadly premonition, finally got the chance to watch and I'm so jazzed. I absolutely love this series and I hope to see many more episodes in the future. you guys did a fantastic job!
It's the Song of Storms paradox. The song came out of nowhere along the time loop. The song is the universal constant, always has been, always will be. It willed itself into existence to pull the world into the abyss below.
I've never played any of the games featured in this series so far, but I love these videos so much. I love Jesse, I love Santell, I love the editing, I just feel so happy watching them - thanks for all the work you put into them!
To solve the fly me to the moon thing, Bayonetta’s mother, Rosa, used to sing the song to Bayonetta as a kid. In this game it is actually a medieval song.
Ok, you definitely have to do the sequels and have Pam be a part of it at some point. Or not. Whatever's good is good. I love that lady and her wholesomeness, she's wonderful and would make a great guest gentlemen (inclusive Gentlemen's Gaming Club). Oh, oh, maybe get a bunch of cheap, dollar store wigs and spray them black (or just get black wigs), and then put a cardboard cutout of a guest in one of those money grabber tubes from those cheesy game shows and throw the wigs in and then after the hair settles, she 'magically' appears as just Pam, or maybe as Bayonetta, but I like the switch from blank stand-in cardboard cutout of a guest into street clothes Pam, even though you'd still be using hair like Bayonetta uses to change her look. Oh, and a magic overlay like the insignia she jumps through to 'dress up'. And maybe off camera, all of you are 'wearing' heels that have guns in them, so periodically, we hear gunshots and you react to that like you're not going to get the security deposit on that loft back. Or not, whatever's good is good
okay, so, according to your intro we probably can also look forward to: The Witcher (3 perhaps? or all of them?) (and are those cards Gwent? I really can't tell) Dead Space Dishonoured Overwatch Journey Super Mario Brothers ? World of War Craft Cuphead Bioshock (infinite I think; the devil was only an Infinite thing, right?) Fear Effect (honestly don't even know that one o-o) There is also the backside of Kingdom Hearts? And those Soda cans that I can't place for the life of me :'D This appears like it's gonna be a long season and I think I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate the effort and look forward to every new episode :D

Really love The Gentlemen's Gaming Club. Although among the three you've currently done, I've only actually played this one. =) I actually didn't know this came out for the Switch. I have Bayonetta 1 and 2 for the Wii U. Finished Bayonetta 1 but still haven't finished 2. Though I am not a Twitch viewer, I really appreciate that you still post here on TH-cam.
to be fair, if you come to Europe in hopes of seeing unicorns there is only one place where you'l find them: The magical land of Fife in ye old Scotland
Jesse one of the greatest things in gameplay that I loved about the game, was the chainsaw! :D When you equipped it to your feet, you could skate around on it. :P It was so much fun having that speed boost and obliterating the enemies. :D It was the best against the close range bosses too. The sad part was I found the chainsaw on some stain glass near the end of the game. But it was worth it. :D Rodin said that no matter how much you ask, I'm not selling you chainsaws. I had such a big smile when I found it.

Admittedly we recorded 2 hours of audio so we had to cut stuff out :P We usually record A TON and just stick with what we think is most relevant.

Just starting the video, but Bayonetta 2 is straight up one of my favorite games of all time, all the game choices so far for this show have been A++.

I actually didn't know this came out for the Switch. I have Bayonetta 1 and 2 for the Wii U. Finished Bayonetta 1 but still haven't finished 2.

Jesse one of the greatest things in gameplay that I loved about the game, was the chainsaw! :D When you equipped it to your feet, you could skate around on it. :P It was so much fun having that speed boost and obliterating the enemies. :D It was the best against the close range bosses too. The sad part was I found the chainsaw on some stain glass near the end of the game. But it was worth it. :D Rodin said that no matter how much you ask, I'm not selling you chainsaws. I had such a big smile when I found it.
