Very Nice! I just received my V1 and was looking for clear manual and your way is the best for me! It should be done by Godox! I will print out all pictures and will keep it near my V1. Thanks again!
I love the simple explanation of how to operate the V1. Talk to me like I'm a seven year old and I might be able to understand all the options! ha-ha ;)
I came from your Olympus-specific product page. I am looking for Olympus-specific (probably on the camera) that will explain why my XProO works on my Panasonic Camera but not Olympus.
Question, I've owned the TT685S's for a few years and loved how they automatically would turn off, when I'd turn off my Sony cameras. My new V1S will not automatically turn off and tried all the settings. Do you know something I don't with this function or do these Not turn off automatically with the cameras now? Thanks!
@@MoLightStore Doesn't appear to be one on the Sony version V1S. Played with the Standby but didn't do anything. I think there is a 30 or 60 min. standby only.
Without seeing it I'm assuming that the M refers to a manual zoom level being set. You can press the top of the wheel where it says "zoom" and cycle through until you get the A for Automatic Zoom.
When you put the VB26 battery into the V1 and you attached the USB cord and the charger, how do I know if the battery is actually charging? Do the lights on the V1 go red/yellow/green? is there a charging symbol on the V1's LCD screen? any insights would be appreciated. stay well. thumbs up.
The USB port on the flash itself is for firmware updates. It is NOT a charging port. The battery should only be charged using the supplied charging base that came with the flash.
@@MoLightStore GOT IT! thank you for the quick reply. i am a flash newbie and found the lack of documentation problematic. if you are ever in NYC, i owe you a cup of coffee! stay well. thumbs up.
There are times it suddenly stops working in the middle of a shoot. And i can't figure out why. Then all it does is make the beep sound when you attempt to make it fire.
In the modeling light menu, just press the center button. That turns it off. If you are using it off the camera with a transmitter, the modeling light must be turned off on the transmitter.
Jay G. Yes, it does vary depending on the manufacturer and model as not all cameras send the necessary information to the flash. For example, Sony uses a different type of focusing system that is not compatible with the infrared cross hatch assist, so the camera itself will not send the info to enable focus assist. Pentax might be the same. Really don’t know those cameras at all.
So when this flash is on my Sony, not only does it not have a focus assist, but it disabled my built in cameras focus assist? Will be returning this junk
I get it and don't like the terms myself. But it is what they are called on the flash itself and I need to be congruent with that or else people will get confused.
There are dozens of V1 videos with speech. How will those help you if: (a) you are in a loud location, (b) can read English but are not so good with the spoken word, (c) need the visual explanation for better comprehension. Judging by the 20,000 views and 13:1 positive feedback ratio, I think I'll keep it. But thanks for the interaction.
The first video that goes to the core of the subject, without useless blah-blah...Thank you lots!
This was mush better than listening to some people that do reviews who can not teach. They may know their equipment, but have poor presentations

Very simple, but very efficient. Well done. Thank You! Godox should be happy for this!

The best video for V1 ,easy to understand.Thank you very much.
Wonderful easy to the point explanation of the buttons. Thank you for producing this!
This is really very good indeed! Clear practical advice. Well done!
These are a great way to impart the functions and where they are on the flash - very well done and thank you for the time to produce them. :-)
Chuck Tipton Thanks, Chuck.
Very useful and easier to understand than the guide book
That was a brilliantly simple way of explaining the functionality 😃 thank you 😉😎

Very easy to understand. Will a quick overview video of all the functions of the Xpro controller be coming soon?
Thanks! It's on the list of videos I want to create.
Thxxxxxxssss🤝
Thank you very much!
Super .clearly explained.
Why not you post about dslr nikon brand
thank you for the information, i saw godox v1 has usb port beside battery, dose it charge without vc26charger?
No, the USB is not for charging. It is for updating firmware only.

My flash didn’t come in “slave mode” but RX do you know how to change it?
RX is the updated name for slave mode. They changed it in a recent firmware update. In other words, RX = slave.
how do you turn the modeling light off and it stays off? mine keeps coming back on with every flash.
In the modeling light menu, just press the center button. That turns it off. If you are using it off the camera with a transmitter, the modeling light must be turned off on the transmitter.
What does TX stands for in the menu ?
And there are two options , what is the difference
Transmitter. RX means receiver
And the other two options can you please explain
My Godox V1 is showing lock on the screen no button is functional. Please what do I do about this
Press and hold the button on the left that has the little lock symbol above it.

No speech is a terrible idea, it reinforces the visual element.
