So important to listen to feedback, rather than get defensive if it's not what you expected. Look at it as a great opportunity - free focus group feedback. Find out what people want and give it to them. Brilliant. You're a good mentor.

I really wish I had all the advantages when I was 20 years old - about 40 years ago! I recently got into selling digital products online and also part-time 1-2-1 coaching - I really enjoy it and getting my residency, outside my home country, on the back of the lifestyle and income. I'm happy!

I am also 64 years, a Canadian citizen with an Indian background. Recently I perfected my 100% online business/income and very much love to move out of Canada as I am fed up with the lonely life here. I have some questions and like to know the answers to them. Could you please help me in answering them? I feel like you may be the right person for that because you are more or less my age. Thank you, sir, and hope to get your reply. Take care.

Step 6 is a important one.. To become a digital worker first then the nomad part comes after a year or a few years gaining experience and client base. I was a digital "remote worker" years before when I then realised I could become a "nomad", then with a regular client base the travel part becomes easier when you do get around to do it, because the marketing and finding clients is not a task you have to do while enjoying the nomad part.

    Hi, Brett
I just want to tell you this video was really helpful .
My plan is to move to Thailand when I collect SS and become a digital nomad im just starting to figure out things and word for word you mentioned all the things I was thinking. And I think you saved me from doing all those bad ideas that you said in this video. I was thinking of learning code but thats not what I want to do after watching this video and dont get me wrong its a good thing. I would have wasted my time.
I was always a good sales men at heart although I worked labor most of my entire life. But I did have a few sales gigs which I was really good at selling some products and even some people. I worked at a very high end employment agency in Manhattan. Sales come easy to me im very outgoing not afraid to talk to anyone about anything. And I've have a little experience in funnels and I like web design, I use to set up a large display in the produce market and I enjoyed the creativity in doing that. Anyway I just wanted to thank you so much for clearing my head.😊. I dont know if you'll even see this the video is a yr old but would love to know if your still a digital nomad and I guess I'll find out when I join your group. Looking forward to talking with you.

Great video again Brett. To add one small thing I didn't hear you mention that I think is actually step 1. "Figure out which audience you want to serve."
Three things in figuring this out, 1. Serve an audience that you actually enjoy being with and engaging with. 2. Serve an audience that would be able to financially compensate you for your value added. And 3. Serve an audience that actually has a problem worth solving. THEN...as you say, what do you want to do and why, define the problem...and so on and so on.
Again, thanks for the great video. Keep it up.

I've worked in three start-ups now and everything Brett is saying, is 100% correct. I'm from a research and development background, so it is natural for me to try and innovate, but this is a bad idea in a start-up. It's much better to create a viable business model and then innovate.

Hi Brett, I just discovered your channel when I found your video "Living in Thailand is not What You Think it's Like..." That was of particular interest to me & I'll leave a comment/question there for that video. I have a question about this video; With my current interest in Thailand, I've heard that the Thai Government is clamping down on Digital Nomads living in Thailand (I can't give any specifics off the top of my head, it's more of a comment I've seen in passing). Do you know anything about that? I'm not a Digital Nomad, nor doing any work in the digital field currently. My interest is coming more from an interest of thinking seriously about life, long term in Thailand and possible income sources in the near future, which I'll not expand on in public comments. Thanks for your videos, which, I've found very interesting, honest and realistic so far and look forward to watching more of.

I do not know what a DN is and Dropshipper (did I get that right?) I never heard before. You have sent me here from another vid and you explain well (I guess). But I would not even know, if I have ever met a DN or Dropshipper - I do not know what that shall be. To me it feels like a bubble as I here DN every day and that would be a sign to short it.
A non digital nomad - is that an analog one then? To waiter in summer in Spain and in winter in Austria makes one a nomad. But these days service jobs are out and digitals are in. What is that?

SEO , service provider and web design.
Aren't those programming skills in your opinion?
    Thanks

    • @dvekmt
      @dvekmt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

These are not considered programming skills, web design for example can be learned using design tools like figma, sketch, etc. where you are just designing the actual “look” of the website, not the coding part, you’d then hand over your design to an actual programmer. There are workarounds like wordpress e.g. that will enable you to do both fairly easily. Providing a service could be anything from making small edits to a website to writing content for people or even taking pictures. SEO is optimising a web presence like websites or sales funnels for the world to actually find your content on google e.g., so again no programming skills needed here as well. Pretty doable with wordpress too. Hope that helps 😅
