This makes the 4th time I've watched this series and I know I will watch it many more. Dick is an amazing guy and his friend Glum is just the best. Thanks so much Classic Boats. I absolutely love this series and all yoyr videos. Makes me wish I were born across the Pond with such wonderful folks.
I really wished we could have been taken along on the passage just to see how all the tide planning worked out. What a fascinating stretch of water where the English Channel meets the North Sea. I would have really liked to see that
Thank you, a superb boat and video, exemplifying less is best, I'm curious though, given she's a one off- of the yachts more readily available today- do you know of any similar gaff cutter builds- re size, draft and sailing characteristics
Nice boat, is Leigh marsh her new home or just a stop off? Haven't been that way in mine yet, theirs a food festival at snape every year which makes a good trip even better.
I wonder if crazy frog or that other guy that was featured who is some official yacht artist would lend their talent's to painting an impression of the video frame at 2:40 ?? It's such a rich an beautiful scene it needs memorialising. We could commission it via one of those go fund me sites and chip in a fiver or so then put it in the local pub.
Better yet... I paused it there, on my phone, took a screen shot, then shared to my email, then printed it at the local print center to 16" x 30". With its slight pixelation it has the impressionistic look.
Love the video, like the series. But honestly, classic boat? You have THE worst intro of anything I watch regularly. That overexcited yip startles me every time. Blowing the levels with the first beat of any piece of audio is a really, really bad idea. Please change it. At least turn it down. Can't even skip it because it's right at the top! Aaaargh!
I agree, I always listen on headphones and have learnt to turn the sound way down before pressing play, as that yap is painful. I still forget occasionally.... I like the theme tune and enjoy the vids.
Agree with everyone…a wonderful series made perfect by the warmth and laughter of true friends. This was a gift Dick. Thank you and fair winds.
I really enjoyed watching this series! Beautiful boat and great people it seems! I would love if you’d do an update on Betty and how she looks now :)
This should be a TV series...bloody brilliant!!!! Thanks for making me smile fellas..

Mic 🎤 drop moment 8:12!
I love the boat so much! Can't wait to see her when you get her done! ✌🏻💗😊❣️
I think Sheena (or Sheila???) giving the photo of "Betty" and placing it in the boat was a great touch to the story!!!
I know this is older but it would be great to follow these chaps.
!What a bunch of happy people, and that boat ! Wow .
Bob your movies are such a pleasure to see. I simply love them!
A great way to end a lovely video, a beautiful boat and great shipmates. Blessed
What a great video, looking forward to many more......awesome
All you gents are terrific!
Who needs a marina when you have a nice sandy mud flat and a center board. Brilliant.

"very good friends who happen to crew as well." the definition of "blessed," if you ask me.

Dick's crew seems a bit odd in the head.
Glad he wasn't eaten.
Philly Cheese Take nutty lol
All boaties are odd in the head, it's part & parcel of owning a hole in the sea.
And thats what happens when you keep shovelling money into that hole in the sea!
2:34 genius picture

Who's glum, the one on the water or the one who's been on it?
Gums the odd one rowing the lady aboard
Wallis and Grommet. Lol
Exactly!
What the hell is a cockel?

Lots and lots of talk and no sailing..............first boat I ever crewed was a 28 foot pilot cutter
