You should search moon cancelling. Or sword cancelling. Those are some good tips for combat
Shoulder bashing cage doors is even more satisfying. Oh, and the light attack hold and release is actually a skill that you spend points on. Delayed Strike.

lol 😂 Just what I'm used to from other games. Using the face buttons for attacks feels super weird to me. Plus, you can’t control the camera if your thumb is on the face buttons. Triggers for attacks seems superior to me 🤷🏻♂️
No it shouldn't it allows you to maintain control of the camera whilst attacking therefore making you much less likely to be hit in combat.
This is why controllers like the Xbox elite are much better as they allow mapping of the face buttons to the back triggers.
Thusly, any action games becone so much better as you can jump attack and use items in action games without moving your right stick from camera controls.

@@kwisatzhaderach9087I’ve played clawed for as long as I can remember so this is never an issue. It feels like most games expect you to play that way too. Especially shooters
@@andykerwi I don't think the answer to poor controls should be that you must contort your hand into an unnatural position.
Shooters are another example of this, I can't actually play shooters now without a mouse and keyboard, but maintaining contact with the sticks at all times on shooters is even more essential.
You can actually shoot the cage doors open with your bow. Aim for the lock. It makes it so easy when theres a bear in an area, and you can shoot the cage open with the bow.
damn, i tried to shoot the cages open once but failed, ill try it again now that i know it needs to be a specific spot on the cage

For busting cages open, I was able to shoot one open with just one shot from the halfbow. No need to go all the way up just to smack it :)
Yeah, it really comes in handy for when you want to release a bear to attack the Mongols, because you can shoot the lock off from a distance and not have to risk getting attacked yourself.

Often u can't see their feet. I just look at my character so I won't fall for their faints.

The hold attack thing is one you unlock as a skill. Learnt a lot of new things in this video though! It was very helpful with my playstyle

2:24 is called delayed strike and is the 4th skill in the evasion branch. And no, the result is not the same (2:47), since delayed strike deals extra melee and stagger damage. Good tip though! 👍

I was liberating Katayama market a bit of time back when I ran into a bug. I triggered standoff( with NG+ full upg Sakai clan armour) and hit 1,2,3,4,5,5 enemies, but my internet decided to switch to my old network for a sec, lag spiking. When it switched back, it seemed to reset how much my streak was on so I just kept stand-off streak on more and more enemies. It was to the point where I had killed every enemy in the camp, completing it, but there were enemies literally just spawning in to fill the streak space. I started counting how many enemies I had killed. I got to an estimated 59 before I was getting finger fatigue. I can’t seem to replicate the effect like it was before, but I was able to switch internet manually mid standoff throughout the game, and sometimes it would give me maybe 1 or 2 more kills.
How are you still not at 100k subs blows my mind, you definitely get to 100k this year

I discovered last night that if you jump and use a heavy attack you'll perform a kick that will stagger enemies so you can follow up with an attack. Also looks cool. (seemed to work in all stances)
Might be well known, but you didn't mention it.

That first tip is awesome. I normally have no problem with the standoff unless it's in pampas grass. I've always watched their feet in standoffs, not possible in tall grass.
Once I'm back from my trip I'll do whole run on new game + hardest difficulty I felt like game was awesome and I kinda cheesed my way through it on normal difficulty.

You’ll eventually get it as an assignation for leaders - I believe at last mission of Act 2 when retaking Castle Shimura

I was thinking about it last night and I don’t think it actually is when you retake Castle Shimura, im pretty sure it’s when you defeat the enemy commander who’s leading the siege on Yarikawa - so you should get it sooner! It also gives you a pretty epic ability that I won’t spoil
Regarding the Ikki Island dlc, does anyone know what the best time to start it is? I was gonna start it as soon as I got it because it seemed as though the developers wanted me to play it at the start of the 2nd act because it was located on the second part of the game, but apparently it has some spoilers if you haven't almost finished the second act. Anyone know when is best to start it?

Well for the best story immersion, you can start after you completed the main island.
Nonetheless i highly recommend for you to go Iki ASAP as you can get OP items and skills once you get there 😁

A fun thing to do against the ronin when they sheath their sword is to walk up to them and hold stone stance and time their attack and if they’re low health you can instant kill instead of dodging
idk if this is a bug or intended, but if I hold the parry button and light attack while holding it, my jin is doing his light attack while parrying at the same time, in other words my attack parries the weapon of the enemy and deals dmg at the same time (not talking about perfect block)
Is there any community for ghost if tsushina legends where you can play with other? I don't have friends so i cant play 😐

Bro the charm that doubles effectiveness of minor charms used with concentration is the maximum time you can wrangle from a build but each minor charm must be a different type coupled with the tadayori armour where headshots refill concentration you never exit until everything is dead I'm only a casual so you should be deadly with this set up bro
Sneaking up to enemies on high up places and doing the Typhoon Kick is so damn satisfying...archers off the towers, people off/over cliffs and walls.
Holding light attack and releasing it will always be a spin. It’s slower than pressing it twice since you have to hold it. It’s not the standard light combo though

Even without any of these tricks, Jin is already pretty OP when you unlock all the tools/skills. I'm only halfway through the game so far but I hope the enemies get more challenging, especially the Iki expansion.
Trust me, the enemies on iki are way harder to beat

I hate this game, they shields ain’t breaking fast enough and theres basically nothing i can do to spear enemies
you should try the different stances for each type of enemy
Just Use The Right Stand . Then Hold Down Triangle Button 😅
For Spear Attack . You Can Jump Before Enemy Attack 👍 Or You Can Perfect Dodge 😅
