- Climbing Moel Siabod in Snowdonia via the grade 1 scramble up Daear Ddu ridge.
Amazing day out hiking and would definitely reccomend this route, any questions pop them in the comments below.
The route we took began at the Moel Siabod cafe and heads straight up towards the moment, skirting over to the left past a few lakes and a beautiful disused quarried, the ridge of Daear Ddu is visible on the left side of the mountain and you can scramble your way up to the too using grade 1 routes, although most difficult sections can be avoided with a path to the side.

It's Shaa-bod rather than sh'bod, but better effort than most, thankfully you didn't call it see-a-bod 😅
Did this in 1984 and revisited today at age 66. Was very wet underfoot, but still had a good day. Lost 3lbs in the process. May feel it tomorrow ! Great upload. Thanks.

Great vid again mate! I went to climb it yesterday but had to give up after half an hour - 60mph wind and zero visibility didn't feel like the safest idea😂😂

Great video of the scramble up to the summit. We did a wildcamp up by the abandoned quarry last year but didn't go to the summit. Never really scrambled before so this one looks interesting. TFS. ATB Andy
