I had just turn 11 years old when the movie came out and my friend and I went to the movie theater to watch it that was one of my best movie experiences. Only a few months later my dad bought me the soundtrack and I thought I was only getting the Mortal Kombat theme and a few of the fighting themes but ohh man was I in for a surprise. This song became one of my favorite songs along with Napalm death, gravity kills and all the metal and heavy music the soundtrack has. Even though I was in a Catholic school after normal school ... A Metalhead was born that day. Been Bloodfed a very long time.
I love the whole album. This is teh Album I had First "Remanufacture (Cloning Technology)" & I liked Fear factory when I was in highschool, and didn't know any other songs, but found out they are great and have a few other cd's now late 20's .
Yez zir I couldn't agree more and in my opinion the Johnny Cage scorpion fight is not only the best fight but because it's the most real fight the way scorpion shows him no mercy I mean it almost felt like that dude really didn't like that actor man he was really going at it like I love it he's trying to get up and he kicks him in the chest and just beats the s*** out of me like just man I love it awesome scene
28 years i saw MK in the cinema.. this song gives me chills. Thank u, cage and scorpion, for giving me a fight scene and a musical score to remember. Thank you!!!
This is THE song which made me a Fear Factory fan the moment I heard it. That was 1995, and I still love the old school FF, even at my old age of 55. This is still my favorite FF song btw:)
hair stand up on neck whole time hey? scorpions character fits my reality in my life, regarding the game of his life and afterlife. indeed, best fight of the movie minus reptile n liu
I love this theme song I liked how Scorpion said "welcome" (then punches Johnny) one of the best fight songs ever to mortal kombat ever I loved the movie since my childhood, and this was my favorite fight scene to it.
Just watched this film again, and the music and fights were incredible. still a great film imo. This movie had SIX FIGHTS back to back, which is incredible. Normally for films it'd be like 3 fights and spread out across a movie, but not MK.
This has got to be one of the heaviest intros EVER. I was still young in my metalness lol (this is an old track). Lmao hard to believe this sound was a sound back then and stuck around to evolve into modern metal. TIMELESS it is!!!
As well as good fights, less characters, great-to-look-at backgrounds, etc. I don't care how bloody your MK film is if it doesn't look or sound entertaining.
I bought this CD used for just $5.00. This is 1 of the songs where I turn the volume up & blare this song while driving. Scorpion: "WELCOME!" (punches Johnny Cage in the face) Scorpion: (after Johnny Cage climbs to the top of a little tower) "GET DOWN HERE!" (kicks 1 of the support beams causing the tower to fall) It's too bad I don't have a Street Fighter Ryu figure because if I could make a stop motion video of Scorpion vs Ryu, I would probably use this song.
Nicksolo85 Twisted Metal lol. I love this song. I obtained the cd years ago when I was in grade 7 from a buddy who didn't want it anymore. Still have and listen to it.
We had some good movies back in our day… I’m 38 and just watched this the other day… Wow, did I instantly feel like that kid again 😂. Not to mention Fear Factory lol!
What I love about Burton C. Bell is he knows how to had the soft and heavy aspects in his voice makes all their songs epic. he was epic in burning inside with Wayne Static
This right here was the shit I was looking for! Of all the tracks on this soundtrack this is the one that rules them all! Kicks ass from start to finish just like the tournament.
Remember hearing this for the first time in theater when Mortal Kombat came out. During that bit when Johnny is swinging around on the pole is SO FKN DOPE. Me and my friends were losing our minds.
LOVE THIS THEME. IT EPITIMISES THE ESSENCES OF WHO AND WHAT SCORPION IS IN MORTAL KOMBAT, AND THAT IS SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT TO FUCK WITH ON A "GOOD" DAY..... "TOASTY!!!"
Best Soundtrack of all time. Outside of The Original Muppet Movies Soundtrack. Oh and for chilling out (I like it for studying), Star Trek 3 soundtrack.
My favorite part of the movie is when Liu, Sonya, and Johnny are at the docks about to board the boat. If you look close, there's a dude welding in the background, looking straight into the sparks. No mask or goggles. Busts me up everytime.
Lyrics So withdrawn and feeling numb Watching life come all undone Growing fear, a human grace A drowning mind in a dark embrace My life A disarray And I Fade away I am down on my knees Praying beyond belief The silence deafens my ears And welds the shackles Onto my fears Lost All faith Lost All trust Lost All faith Lost All trust So withdrawn and feeling numb Watching life come all undone My life A disarray And I Fade away I am down on my knees Praying beyond belief The silence deafens my ears And welds the shackles Onto my fears I have lost all faith I have lost all trust A sordid mesh turning to dust A sordid mesh turning to dust I am lost I am so numb I am so numb I am so numb I am so numb I am so numb I am so numb
This song birthed me into the metal world when I was 11 years old.
This, Napalm Death, and Geezer.
Me too, I was in 5th grade and this was the first metal song I ever heard and probably the first tape I ever bought.
Slipknot, Rob Zombie(and #1 favorite movie director), Mushroomhead, and Five Finger Death Punch

Badass

Goddamn it's so good!
The first one is good, the problem is the movies after that.

what memories! I saw this film at the cinema, back in 1995; the clash between Scorpion and Johnny Cage. Thank you for publishing this song!
Going to a show in December 2023 and hoping they'll play this
I used to listen to this song all the time while playing with legos as a kid.
lol u were an awesome kid.
Were you just 2 seconds old

The kind of music that was missing from MK 2021

*"I was in the war!"*
Oh wait, wrong game.
One of my favorite songs in the soundtrack. Glad I found it again.
They don't make films or music like this anymore....imagination has been lost
That pad melody at the beginning is like a hymn meets metal, beautiful ❤️🔥

Lyrics
So withdrawn and feeling numb
Watching life come all undone
Growing fear, a human grace
A drowning mind in a dark embrace
My life
A disarray
And I
Fade away
I am down on my knees
Praying beyond belief
The silence deafens my ears
And welds the shackles
Onto my fears
Lost
All faith
Lost
All trust
Lost
All faith
Lost
All trust
So withdrawn and feeling numb
Watching life come all undone
My life
A disarray
And I
Fade away
I am down on my knees
Praying beyond belief
The silence deafens my ears
And welds the shackles
Onto my fears
I have lost all faith
I have lost all trust
A sordid mesh turning to dust
A sordid mesh turning to dust
I am lost
I am so numb
I am so numb
I am so numb
I am so numb
I am so numb
I am so numb
Hell Yeah!
best song for kicking ass or fighting or even hearing it when I am getting my ass kicked.
Scorpion: "WELCOME"!!! Punches and fights Johnny

best part of the movie is when Cage finally gets a decent hit and knocks scorpion down, he jumps up and says, "YES!" and is pumped as fuck
