I will never forget when my girlfriend played mean girls and I had never seen it so I watched it with her, in the ending scene when they played the song I freaked out but she had no idea why I was lmao
Mortal kombat 1 in the 90s.....yeah we all loved the movie back then...rewatching countless times on VHS...never realising how special the movie we witnessed really was.
We all had a blast didn’t we? Your rides here take your memories with you you’re not coming back. Be strong. That’s what I tell myself because I miss the 90’s man
My mom bought this for me on vhs after having an obsession with the games. One of the greatest things she’s done to make me love this franchise even more and martial arts as well. We out here 2020
If I had one wish it would be to send me back to the 90's. I'd love to experience it all over again. The world and America has changed so much, it's all politics now and people are at everyone's throat for having different views. Back then nobody gave AF. This song just has a 90's vibe all over it... when things were fun.
i miss the 90's. I was like three years old when the movie came out. I am going to be 24 in October. Let me tell you this, I was scared to death when I saw Goro. lol. True story. I always believed it was the same actor who played that troll in Ernest Scared Stupid. Now I am scared of them...as much
I was scared to death by Ernest Scared Stupid. I lived in the country on the edge of a swamp 45 minutes south/south west of Gainesville, fl and was terrified that the trolls would come and get me. I wasn't scared during the movie, but when I came home I was terrified!
fun story when this came out I was in 6th grade and my mom hated MK the game [too violent] but allowed me to see the movie, with her. She ended up liking it alot and the idea of fighting for your future, and bought me the soundtrack on cassette the next day :)
I was looking for this song for a long time. This song means a lot to my childhood. When I did seven years in prison the song came on the radio once and it was such a treat
i remember the very beginning of this movie at the theater my dad took me.i was 15 when the intro music hit i started hyper ventilating i was so excited lol and i also remember 95/96 falling asleep to this song on loop on my cd player those were the days so much stress and chaos now :(
This song gives me chills. I was 14/15 and this soundtrack changed my life. I loved it so much. My teenage years were crap, and this soundtrack (and the EDM/Techno I found through it) kept me going. Listening 25 years later.
I can't be the only one that thinks this; I truly believe the Mortal Kombat soundtrack, ironically, is the closest thing we'd ever get to world peace. Such an ecletic, but AMAZING, compilation of music across an even more amazing spectrum of artists ranging from industrial, trance, techno, and so much more... a testament of just how great the 90's were, and how good we really did have it.
Much music is appreciated from true roots and just pure originality. The tone and what is communicated through the melody and all electronic effects here is beautiful. There are some bands today though that are amazing, and they share + have their main influencers from bands and music artists that came from the 90s. Doesn't mean music today is NOT awesome...just that you have to look hardly and more particularly for it. Nothing like the 90s though, that is true.
This movie / track came out the year I graduated high school. It will be forever tied to some of the best memories of my life. Endless optimism, adventure. Back when we were super heroes and anything was possible.
man this is therapeutic i remember when i first saw mortal kombat the feeling wheni hear this song is nostalgic great memories around 95 i am 27 now and it is crazy i still get same feeling when i hear this song
Fell asleep to this song many times. I bought the ost when the movie was out but eventually a friend borrowed it and it was gone. I'll never forget seeing mk for the first time. They had the volume at 11 I think lol. The intro had me pinned to my seat. The letters coming in ... shing shing shing. Ah the memories.
2023. Goosebumps. Exactly know what I was thinking when I heard that song, when mortal kombat was the s***. I was dreaming about the future, and becoming the stronger version of me. What's next? Let's go home.
Just randomly remembered this uplifting MK track and went onto deep search and eureka, stumbled on this gem again. Ahhhhhhhhh, memories. This track puts a smile on my face and instills hope for the future and things to come. That it’s not all doom and gloom and that there’s always a silver lining and goodness all over if you remember to look and see. Even in yourself. 90s was such an amazing time growing up as a kid. Truly was.
It's crazy what this does and continues to do for an entire generation of people that grew up with this. Glad I'm one of them. I hope the best for everyone. Including myself.
29 Years and still counting on. It's true when he said "My spirit will always be with you. Go in peace my brother." one of the finest music I have ever heard from that period
Liu Kang def. Shang Tsung, knocking him off a landing onto a bed of spikes. Tsung's death releases all of the captive souls, including Chan's. ◾ Chan said I knew you come. ◾ Liu Kang said Chan. ◾ Chan said One day, we will be reunited. Until then, my spirit will always be with you. Go in peace, my brother. All the souls are ahead to the afterlife. Kitana, Sonya Blade, and Johnny Cage saw Liu Kang is became as Champion Of Mortal Kombat. ◾ Liu Kang said Let's go home. Liu Kang, Kitana, Sonya Blade, and Johnny Cage returns to Earthrealm, where a victory celebration is taking place at Liu's Shaolin temple. ◾ Raiden said I've been waiting for you. What took you so long? ◾ Liu Kang said I guess you knew it would end this way. ◾ Raiden said Didn't have a clue. ◾ Raiden said You, humans, are so unpredictable. (Laugh) I've gotta tell you something, you guys did great.
The intro up to the 3 minute marker has always made me feel good inside it always made me feel hopeful, strong, pure, and just right now that I'm older and I look at the mirror I think back at time and what I've become and it's weird that I'm on a mortal kombat ost saying this but this song has been with me since I was a young ass dude when I first seen this movie that ending scene always made me feel good it always made me feel like everything would be OK but of course before we got that lightning that destroyed the building and well you know but damn does time pass by fast and change us in so many ways.. Damn it's crazy the emotions music can make us feel it's really something else when it can do that hope everyone is good and hope everyone enjoys this song as much and as deeply as I do
Used to zone out to this song when I was a kid whenever I listened to it on my Walkman. Downloaded it off of Amazon just now. So glad my mind decided to make a random trip down memory lane. I never want to forget this song.
Ah back when I was a kid insecure no friends but still managed to smile this song brings back memories good and bad but definitely was my favorite song from the movie
Best track in the movie. Heck, sometimes I even hear this to sleep. The Mortal Kombat movie might be underrated, but holy shit, it had a fantastic soundtrack. To me it is one of the few movies based on video games that was really successful, and even improved the game itself (heck, when you consider we got Shang Tsung on MK11 modelled after Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, you can be your ass that the movie had an impact on the franchise).

When you can put a song on a soundtrack about teenage drama and it still sound majestic and powerful, you know it's high quality. Long live the 90s!
Mortal Kombat was a teen drama movie?
@@supremacistdawn this song was also featured on the ending of Mean Girls
I will never forget when my girlfriend played mean girls and I had never seen it so I watched it with her, in the ending scene when they played the song I freaked out but she had no idea why I was lmao
I recognized this song from Mean Girls originally from Mortal Kombat (1995) and happily pointed it out to my sister.
Every time I hear this song I get goosebumps because you can’t unsee when Liu and Chan have their final talk and tells him to go in peace.
Whenever the Covid-19 pandemic is finally over I'm gonna play this song
Ditto
"Lets not go home " 😂
well... i guess we'll be still waiting...
Covid isn’t that bad. You let the media scare you to death
@@JustinLodes I already had Covid so it's pretty much real
Прошло 26 лет, а эта песня просто волшебство какое-то) Orbital old school music.
Right when that 2:00 mark hit, you knew that's when this song was gonna get real. Love it.
Mortal kombat 1 in the 90s.....yeah we all loved the movie back then...rewatching countless times on VHS...never realising how special the movie we witnessed really was.
Song is much better on Mortal Kombat than mean girls.
90s was the greatest decade for electronic music
“We are all with you my friend”
We all had a blast didn’t we? Your rides here take your memories with you you’re not coming back. Be strong. That’s what I tell myself because I miss the 90’s man
My mom bought this for me on vhs after having an obsession with the games. One of the greatest things she’s done to make me love this franchise even more and martial arts as well. We out here 2020
this song make me feel sad a little, good classic movie!!!
If I had one wish it would be to send me back to the 90's. I'd love to experience it all over again. The world and America has changed so much, it's all politics now and people are at everyone's throat for having different views. Back then nobody gave AF. This song just has a 90's vibe all over it... when things were fun.
The magic voice in this song is = Kirsty Hawkshaw = Opus III= It's a Fine Day
Nooo Friggin' WAAAY...I loooove that track too.
i miss the 90's.
Nikki Jenkins
wtf its Not even an horror movie but the game could get a bit scary for children
Me too I was so scared of goro that I actually fell off the chair
Same. I'll always miss the 90s
love this track 🙂 I still remember I was only 8 years old when this movie came out. I'm 27 now and I still love it today 🙂
+Thomas Baron same
me too yo
+Thomas Baron Damn made me feel old since I was 17 when this movie came out.........
+badrockxxx damn lol
im doing animationmovies to feel young :D
The scene that made me cry. Such a great film!
fun story when this came out I was in 6th grade and my mom hated MK the game [too violent] but allowed me to see the movie, with her. She ended up liking it alot and the idea of fighting for your future, and bought me the soundtrack on cassette the next day :)
Also used in the beginning of the movie HACKERS (back when Angelina Jolie was a nonody & Matthew Lillard - Stu from Scream, are in it) lol
I was looking for this song for a long time. This song means a lot to my childhood. When I did seven years in prison the song came on the radio once and it was such a treat
So many memories.....Rest in Peace: Vu Huynh, Brian Fuentes, Tony Smith, James Merry, Juanita Rodriguez, and Bunnarath Prom. (1997) 🙏
i remember the very beginning of this movie at the theater my dad took me.i was 15 when the intro music hit i started hyper ventilating i was so excited lol and i also remember 95/96 falling asleep to this song on loop on my cd player those were the days so much stress and chaos now :(
Pretty much the same here. I was 15 and my dad took me...I wore this CD out...
I know this was like 3 years ago but I hope things are getting better for you.
When music used to be awesome!
I listen to this song every morning ❤
💕💕💕💕💕💕
What’s stopping you from listing now
Low key i took a big liking to this song besides the OG MK theme💪💪💯💯 including Reptiles' theme💪💪💪💯💯💯 which i think ill go listen to next
This song is the anthem to my childhood and the best song of mankind. Brings back my earliest memories…
man this is therapeutic i remember when i first saw mortal kombat the feeling wheni hear this song is nostalgic great memories around 95 i am 27 now and it is crazy i still get same feeling when i hear this song
paul deleon you and I both, brother
How about now ?
Fell asleep to this song many times. I bought the ost when the movie was out but eventually a friend borrowed it and it was gone. I'll never forget seeing mk for the first time. They had the volume at 11 I think lol. The intro had me pinned to my seat. The letters coming in ... shing shing shing. Ah the memories.
2023. Goosebumps. Exactly know what I was thinking when I heard that song, when mortal kombat was the s***. I was dreaming about the future, and becoming the stronger version of me. What's next? Let's go home.
This song takes me back to cruising around Orlando late at night back in the early nineties, fresh out of High School. Good times.
Un tema espectacular…muchos años antes ya venía incluida en la banda sonora de “Hackers”
que peliculon, por esa peli conozco el tema
29 Years and still counting on. It's true when he said "My spirit will always be with you. Go in peace my brother." one of the finest music I have ever heard from that period
35 now..(soon) used to do karate kicks and stuff to this soundtrack. Never realizing how much of a musical impact it would have years later.
Jeffry Tessier same here 35 and the memories are rushing in.
now your ass is 38 or 39 lmao.....I bring you back to the memories though
(Laugh)
I've gotta tell you something, you guys did great.
Damn it's crazy the emotions music can make us feel it's really something else when it can do that hope everyone is good and hope everyone enjoys this song as much and as deeply as I do
Crazy how good this is, hope one day we will ALL be happy…..
I'm listening this song with imagine in such a beautiful place
This song gives me hope. So much nostalgia hearing this as a kid. All grown up and still listening to this.
This movie has a beautifull soundtrack. Very good! and the movie is still rocks!!!
I could just listen to the first 2:30 minutes over and over again when writing soothing scenes for my sci-fi stories. It's just that beautiful.
This song played at the beginning of the movie Hackers as well, which came out only one month after mortal kombat.
This Mortal Kombat soundtrack still stands the test of time I have to purchase this when I get a chance
Oh 90's you will forever be missed
Mortal kombat...Psytrance ans trance.
Great song , childhood memories :)
Used to zone out to this song when I was a kid whenever I listened to it on my Walkman. Downloaded it off of Amazon just now. So glad my mind decided to make a random trip down memory lane. I never want to forget this song.
Ah back when I was a kid insecure no friends but still managed to smile this song brings back memories good and bad but definitely was my favorite song from the movie
man I finally found this song after all these years first heard it on mortal combat in 1995 brings back memories a classic
same today. was sleeping on it
Magic of 90s treasured in this one special tune.
When I saw this movie twice in theaters at 13, I bought the soundtrack
This is my rave days❤
One day, we will be reunited
Words i hold close for a brighter tomorrow. Like our once shining yesterday
I used to listen to this to fall asleep as a kid. haha I loved it. the movie was cool too... for its time. so cheesy to watch it now lol
wrong - still cool, just remember it was 16 bit graphics so groundbreaking at the time. 90s movies have a Lil cheese but technology wasn't there. but Reptile had some of the first CGI in films. read the behind the scenes & stuff the movie did bro
+Jed Cauffield yeah its still cool km not saying it isn't. but yeah just a lil cheesy haha. at least it wasn't as bad as street fighter hahaha... m bisons rocket boot were hilarious
The first MK movie was cool, but the 2nd was cheesy.
Me too.
Loved that song and the LP. This was the first LP i've ever bought at the age of 9 or 10. Today i ordered it online and can't wait for it.
+Jed Cauffield Unbelievable film. There will never be anything like it again. Mortal Kombat is timeless.
