Maharashtra has most number of forts and most of them are situated on hill tops. Western ghats are full of forts and hills which are good for trekking.
Mumbaikars r one of a kind. We love Monsoon as much we do others. In fact monsoon picnics r very spl , most of Maharashtra and these Ghat sections r busy with traffic so r the roads nothing stops us from enjoying. It's a must to go on picnics during rains.

Iam from Pune kalsubai treak nearly 150 km from here, it's ousome experience that's my first treak also with guide and friends, well connected by road, please bina guide ke ye treak na kare kyuki isme jaan jane ka bhi khatra, it's a dengerous treak also, be careful aur haan yahan peena mana hai pakade gaye to majbut fine bhi lag sakta hai,so don't drink and treak

There is not too much winter or cold is there only little cold if u want to see cold winter come to Delhi, punjab, rajestant, uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, jummu and karmire,Simla, Manali, ect....... U will find a good cold winter season ok ....
