Dear Iman and Moazzam. I am from Nasik. Nasik is a place for foodies. Nasik's food is amazing and variety is great. Sadhana Misal Pav with 2 pieces Jalebis is costing only Rs.90/-. We get lovely food and people love to eat out. Nasik produces 90% of wine produced all over India and Nasik wines are exported and available in most of the countries. It is also a very historical place which finds its mention in Ramayana. Lots of tourist spots are available in and around the city. Overall, a lovely place to visit. Lastly, Nasik has lovely climate, it is actually quite cold during winters.
That caravan also belongs to Maharashtra Govt, MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation).
Nashik(Panchavati) is the place were lord rama ,laxman and sita mata was lived..And from here only sita ji was kidnapped by Ravana.
And ravan have to encounter with Jatayu in kerala, while he took sita on way to lanka
Nashik is famous for its wines and vineyards. Some of the brands such as Grover, are just gorgeous, simply beautiful, if taken in moderation (as all wines are taken) along with good food.

Carvans r the best way to travel for family with kids. Many come. With family size bed and kitchen too. We don't have to stay at hotel or anything. Esply Off Road travels. Can stop endlessly at a place and discover the place. Have travelled in one while traveling in Australia and the US . India too has introduced these ,but getting popular only recently.
It's not a Hindi word Carvan, it's a Cara-Van. These kind of vehicles are custom build, including mini kitchen, convertible bed, sofa, toilet-bathroom and much more. Best for long rides and camping.

The video is good but it has not covered whole Nashik. If u r coming by train, u have to get down at Nashik Road Rly stn to go to Nashik City which is around 20 kms app. The Pandav Caves on Mumbai-Agra highway, Mahindra plant where Bolero and Scorpio are made, Anjneri on the way to Trimbeshwar where Hanuman ji was born and many more places are missing. If you want to see the beauty of this city, visit in the monsoon.

Nashik is one of the top 10 cities of India which have best weather throughout the year. In last summer it was recorded with the lowest temperature in whole state of maharashtra.

Site gufa is in Panchvati, where Ram, Sita and Laxman stayed during exile.
Trimbakeswar is the point where Godavari originates from a small spring on top of a hill.
In Kalaram, the Sri Ram's idol is of black stone and in Goraram, the Sri Ram's idol is of white stone.
Nasik is a mix of old and new. Nasik has several luxurious hotels and restaurants.
Nasik has one modern beautiful temple called muktidham, where almost all of famous Hindu pilgrimages temples miniature models are present.
Nashik is also famous for Ganthoba temple, where the pilgrims make a wish and if the wish is fulfilled then the pilgrim visit the place next year on the same date and tie a bell to pay homage. The temple is very small and looks very insignificant too because several such temples have cropped up all over Nasik.
Winter is good time to visit Nasik because summers are too hot and harsh, rainy season doesn't allow much outdoor activities and hence not recommended.

It's private "caravan" it's starts from 15k per day + Diesel - it's provided from motohom best part is you can stay and Maharashtra has places beside lake and beaches you can park the vehicle and spend night. It's a experience

At present we are staying at Nashik . My son is residing here. Ardha Kumbha might also be held in Nashik.,after every six year.We also visited famous Trambakeshwar Mahadev Mandir. We also went resort SULA,where wine is prepared and served.But we don't take it. As per mythology,Sita Mata haran ( kidneping ) by Ravana occurred in Panchwati.There were also a Ashram of famous Rishi Atri and his wife Sati Ansuya. ( Mother of Tridev--Dattatraya Bhagwan. ( Brahma,Vishnu,& Mahesh or Shiva.
Nasik, Satara & Sindhudurg best places to settle after retirement.

Dear Iman and Moazzam, nice to see you featuring a film about my home state of Maharashtra. I am just half a minute in this video and I hear Iman mention Dadar. I am not sure if you know that Dadar is an rather important railway junction inside the city of Bombay or Mumbai. I am surprised that you mention Dadar without mentioning Mumbai. Nashik is famous these days for its wineries and in the Hindu Epic Ramayan, Ram and Seeta were said to be living near Nashik, when they were banished from Ayodhya and sent into their 14 year long exile.

The name of nashik is based on mythology that meaning of nashik is meanly may be nose and the story behind that the shurpnakha the sister of king Ravana the Laxman cut her nose in this place so then this city known as Nashik
Very interesting,tastefully taken video. However, spots like Triumbakeshwar are tremendous powerhouses of spiritual light and sacredness and they defy analysis and judgment by just a few minutes of visit. One has to stay atleast for 21 days and meditate to get a peep in to the staggering reservoir of *SAKTHI* such hoary shrines embody. Only saints and seers get to know and benefit from such exalted spots.
Another famous food of Nashik has to be the ‘Chivda’. ( चिवडा )
Nashik was known as Nashik for more than few thousand years in history, and there are proofs available for that. The city was renamed as Gulshanabad by Moghuls in 1615, reason being it was the city of flowers. But Mahrattas defeated Moghuls and won back the city and restored the original name as Nashik in 1707.
