No fire, no stove - no problem! 😁 I hope you liked this video and got some new ideas for your next camping trip. Do you have any other no-cook ideas I didn't mention? Comment below!
You rock with your incredible energy and smarts ! One idea I could share is instead of tuna,(mercury) use wild sockeye salmon or red salmon ! I like Primal kitchen mayo which is made out of avocados, organic and super healthy . Break up 6 or more black olives for more good fats. Season with a small pinch of Himalayan salt, garlic granules, lemon pepper, dill, parsley flakes and a squeeze of lemon for a sandwich, wrap or open face ! When I'm at home I like to use the open face and top it with sliced avacodo, sliced cheddar or keerygold cheese and put it under the boiler a few minutes ! Also, Kerrygold butter and a few sprigs of rosemary is the bomb when you cook steaks ! Keep up the great content ! Love your channel ! Peace👣
Thanks Amanda, I enjoy watching your videos especially the food ones! I sometimes make a salad with a pouch of cooked quinoa and add other ingredients. You could do something similar with a tin of chickpeas or mixed beans. Where I live you can buy vacuum pouches of cooked beetroot which are handy to store and great to add into salads, wraps etc.
Along with the pb&j but I take a tortilla and put the peanutbutter and Jelly on that except I sprinkle in rice krispies cereal to give it some crunchy texture. I learned it at college and it's really good.
I always love having a simple meal prepped (like the pasta salad) for my first meal at camp. You can have a lot of other things going on that you don't need to worry about that first meal. Great video.
Definitely! With driving to a campsite, unpacking and setting up camp, it's so nice to have dinner or lunch ready to go for that day. Thanks for commenting 😁
... Always have to check out your video's ... doesn't matter how long some of us have been spending time in the outdoors ,, you seem to bring something new and different to the game ,, I thank you .. Usually if things are running tight and no real plans of a first day cooked meal .... I have a habit of stopping at a Subway along the route and pick up 2-3 footlong subs cut into quarters to hold things over ... car camping can handle coolers and extra gear ,,, while a backpack trip ,, I might not want to break open the pack , leaving it ready for a morning depart .... and subs can travel as well ,(as long as they are kept simple with no mayonnaise or anything that won't be stable for a day or two ... serve as great break or lunch meals as well ..
I love videos like this. I am African born and bred, I am always suprised when I read/hear about how much Americans eat out. I've been to the US a few times and immediately noticed how easy it was to shop and eat homemade meals even with little to zero cooking skills. I'm glad when I watch videos like these that highlight this fact. Lots of love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
When it's a hot day, keep sandwich vegetable toppings that contain liquid in the liquid-free bags Amanda recommended in one of her videos. I bought those bags, and it's a good thing we put tomatoes and pickles because, by the end of our hike, we could have had a soggy sandwich.
I am obsessed with cheese boards. I sometimes eat that at home with my daughter for dinner if we have had a busy day and it hot outside..too hot to cook. I am glad to see others approve. Thank for sharing this video. Always super helpful-
Thanks for all these ideas! I’m taking my 5 you get kids camping for the first time in a few weeks and we are super excited! Going with a bunch of more experienced campers as well as newbies, so your videos are so helpful!
Great healthy meals thank you!!! My first time camping this weekend and it's been hot here in California so this gives me ideas of what to make easy to eat
I just found your channel! I love to cook, but not when out camping. We've been camping in a Jeep Wrangler, but have recently purchased an Audi Q5 and have talked about paring down and not cooking. These are great ideas. Thank you Amanda!
I love. My trick, freeze the non-carbonated beverages and meat. So there is less slush and meet is good for more days. , cabbage based salad mixes. Napa cabbage is a good romain replacement. Only ever have hot cocoa dry mix or baked beans camping. Allergic to many things, so I make my own trail mix.
Most Americans grew up with peanut butter and jelly. Jelly is like jam only jam is thicker. There is even a product of peanut butter and jelly swirled together in a jar. This has been on the market since the 60’s. You don’t even need bread…just a spoon!
Thanks for all the ideas, you are great!! You explain everything so well. You are one of my favorite channels. Thanks again for sharing. You make everything look so easy. God Bless.
Thankyou Amanda..I love all your camping meal ideas. I like your bin hacks, but with 2 kids, I have to put all the kitchen stuff in one bag and misc stuff in another. Love to see how you pack your car. Mine has to have pool noodles or life jackets.
@@amanda.outside thankyou!..my coworker is from Utah, now living here in Toronto, Ontario Canada. I've showed her your videos and she cant wait to go back to visit her sisters and give me a tour all the beautiful places in Utah & surrounding area.
Delicious ideas! I love making cauliflower salad for camping. It's a meal in itself. Similar to pasta salad, it should be eaten the first night ideally.
Yes, it's delicious. Peanut butter, jelly, and bread. It's probably one of the most common lunches for children in the US. Jam vs. Jelly is slightly different but not significantly.
@@brittneycerritos4515 I must try it. Peanut butter isn’t common in Ireland where I’m from. A common lunch for children here are ham sandwiches 😂 I like jam on bread or with scones and fresh whipped cream. That’s common here too. The only jelly we’d eat is with ice cream!
@@DLM440 that is so neat to know! Ham and cheese sandwiches are common here for lunch as well. But PBJ is definitely a staple. I had no idea that peanut butter wasn't common there!
Great content as usual. Really liked your suggestions but all of them require a cooler. Would you do a video of meals that don’t have ingredients that has to be stored in a cooler?
Hi Amanda , just started following you, great videos lots of info, I will be going camping with my 2 dogs at the end of Sept, first time since I was a kid, im 52 now lol so been a while and I am camping with my grand cherokee, have tent but can always sleep in jeep. I do have a question regarding firewood, wouldnt all the dead wood around campsites been picked over. I would think it would be hard to find.I am taking lots of notes from your awesome videos, thank you. I am going to be camping the northern shore of Lake Superior..should be very exciting and relaxing with lots of hiking
NO COOK meals who would of thought lol 🙃great video there are plenty of hot days here in Florida🏝 we don't like to cook thanks for sharing keep the cameras rolling from Florida.
I love your videos you have great information and tips thank you for sharing them. I have a question for you when you go out for longer hiking trips 2-3 days do you take cheese ( string cheese) or other cheese’s with you with out taking a cooler with you on the hike?
I have taken string cheese backpacking. It does say on the packaging to keep it refrigerated, but I take it anyway on shorter trips that are not going to be super hot.
@@amanda.outside Thank you I appreciate you answering my questions. My husband and I are in our mid 50 and are interested in starting to do some hiking starting out doing some 2-4 miles day hiking and seeing how we do with that to start out with. I love your videos and appreciate your help thank you You rock
How do you keep your coolers cold for more than a day? I buy ice from the market and that melts within hours. Do you use a specific cooler that makes ice last longer?
We do have a good cooler and we use ice blocks. I have a Yeti Tundra cooler and it works really well, but we also use bigger frozen ice blocks or ice packs. They stay cold longer than ice cubes. On longer trips, we will add ice if needed, but for shorter weekend trips, the ice blocks work great for us! I have made a note on my video idea list to talk about cooler tips and tricks! Thank you for watching 😁
Sadly because of our climate crisis this is going to be our new normal when camping. Campfires are going to become obsolete. Great video with some excellent ideas!
😂😂 Interesting that your no cook meals video intro is full of cooking meals. 😂😂 Great ideas, I’ve used some of these myself for when I just don’t feel like cooking. Big salami and cheese on crackers here. 🤠

Hard boiled eggs (from home), sliced on to a piece of rye bread with mayo. That's my first day lunch.

To any Americans reading this, what is peanut butter and jelly? Is it peanut butter and jam? Seems like a weird combo. Is it nice?!

Hello. I'm enjoying a couple camp in Japan. It's a good place. I watched the video as if I went there. The food looks delicious.
Good ideas! I'd love to see a camping food video that require no fire/stove and no cooler!
Hi Amanda!🙋🏽♀️ I love all of those options. 😊
I like ti mix pasta salad with regular salad
Awesome info! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the great tips 😀
Great ideas Miss Amanda. Thank you💚 Do you plan the meals first and then go shopping or are your meals based on what is in the refer?😇
I usually plan my meals out and then go shopping for all the ingredients I need.
