There is absolutely no replacement in life for truly great music that hits the soul. For my money, Elton's best song ever! Still the best 50 years later!!! So ethereal sounding. Another song like this one is completely underrated: "Someone Saved My Life Tonight"
PLEASE listen to that one. Same deep soulful sound. Sadly not as popular as it should be.

No matter how good a cover is, nobody can do Elton like Elton do.

In the late 70's, as I was entering puberty, I was mesmerized by the naked girl on this album cover. The whole album is incredible.

The first album I ever bought with my own money was Elton John ‘Caribou’ back in 1974. I was 11 yrs old.

There is no bad Elton John song, but for the record (no pun intended) my all time favourite is 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight'. Soooo beautiful.

Someone Saved My Life Tonight and I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues are two of my favorites. Also, you look great as a red head. ☺️

Oh yes! GYBR was the first album I ever bought. Hard to convey just how HUGE Elton was in the 70's. He really owned that time frame! So glad you appreciate his genius!

    Thanks for a wonderful reaction!
It was a complete joy to see!
And yes! Rocketman has a soft spot.
    And this song shows!
Could you react to another song of his, it's called "Blessed" I believe you will like it. Thanks.

Elton John has a ton of great hits and also some fantastic album traxxs!
Elton John/Funeral For A Friend-Love Lies Bleeding from the same album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Elton & Bernie Taupin is a hard-to-beat songwriting team! This whole album and Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy are two classics that must be listened to in their entirety!

It's always been my favourite tune by him and that's partly the melody, partly the construction of it, but also the dreamy longing. I don't know if we can get that anymore without it sounding hollow.
