Therefore the frustrated learner driver blames the instructor for failing this driving test.

As someone who's passed. Treat the examiner like a new instructor you're showing your skills too.. That thought process helped me pass.

@@runexyz I'm not an instructor, but have been driving for 36 years. My advice is: the more experience you get, the less you have to be too concerned with always have two hands at 9 and 3. Having said that, I DO tend to have both hands at 9 and 3 the majority of the time, especially when going fast in traffic and in bad weather. You simply want to be able to keep control of the vehicle in an emergency as well as generally have good control of the vehicle.
I'm currently teaching my daughter (16yo) to drive and make sure she's got both hands on the wheel.

I passed my test with one hand. It’s not compulsory anymore. But I do understand wanting someone to use two hands who cannot fully control the car yet.

When I hear his instructor told him he is too confident, I immediately knew what to expect: it's actually more polite version of "arrogant and immature".

Got my driving test tomorrow morning, 6th time around. I've been working with a great instructor and I've never felt more confident that this time, I'm going to pass.
Update: I didn't pass this time, sadly. Still, I'm going to rebook and get some mock tests under my belt. I'm disheartened, but not discouraged.

Bro thought he was "the thinker" sculpture.
Passed just now with 5 minors. 2 of them were intentional to avoid serious faults. If it wasn't for the Ultimate Driving Course, I may have just done the serious faults without knowing how to convert them to minors. Please note, I took my test in Northern Ireland, where the road rules and test specifics differ slightly from GB ones, but the course is mostly still applicable.

Its bad when driving instructors promote bad habits. You should ALWAYS indicate. It builds habit and kids may not know what a car is doing. Like indicating to turn right in a right only lane you still indicate as other cars from kther directions and pedestrian dont know its right only.

I passed my test about 5 days ago. Before I passed I was having issues making stupid mistakes I shouldn’t be making. But these videos really helped me for the test day. If I got any advice Is that you can never anticipate enough. Be it junctions, round abouts or turnings. If you can anticipate wellhead you can definitely have more time to judge ahead of you and execute what needs to be done

@@raer5373 even so, there's still a story to tell. He could talk about his instructor or family member who taught him, the car he learnt to drive in, his age and stage in life, something he struggled with at first, how his test went, number of minors etc.

I passed auto with 30 hours a week ago and I don’t wanna ever hear it from a manual driver again after this 😂
I passed with 25 hours for automatic but I’m doing manual now. Instructor couldn’t believe how well I picked it up. Learning auto/the roads/cars made it much easier to not have to worry about all that as much in manual,
So I could focus on the gears.

Driving lessons are expensive? I was driving at 15 with a curfew then 16 without. That’s crazy to think driving lessons are a thing. We just had drivers Ed at 15. It was cheap to. Wild! Good on ya!
I passed today first time with only 3 minor faults well chuffed after watching your stuff for the past 2 months took me a long time (2 years and something like 90 hours) but damn I thought i failed instantly but only 3 minors!

Jordan has the driving knowledge to pass his test but he is way too over confident which could easily lead to an accident, he needs to drive more slowly. Jordan must also take ownership of his faults and not try to blame others, in this case Pin.

If you want to talk about way to much, go to the video where the girl had over 45 faults, with I think like 45 or more being serious, and she blamed it on the car

The first serious he should have spotted the parked van pointing the opposite direction meaning it's two way and the second serious when he was exit as he was in the right and the car on the left it's good practice to actually keep wide just gives a margin on saftey I also think he counted the 2nd exit as 1 which caused the move over right and not spiral. If in the right lane it safer to exit in the right lane on a lane with 2 lanes off

It didn't look like he was going into the other lane when you said no keep to this one coming off that roundabout but it's on camera it's different in person could tell he noticed before you said anything in my opinion 13:15
it's not about whether he noticed or not, if pin isn't confident he noticed the examiner wouldn't be either, because they don't know you or know how good your driving actually is and you gotta imagine they deal with some bad drivers

This was a mock test and in a real test the examiner isnt supposed to tell you what to do....but normally people would know how to get the biting point by the time they take their driving test 😅 to be fair to him the biting point can be really different in each car

He mentioned it at one point about the learner holding his chin. But driving with one hand is not a fault in itself if the examiner is fully confident you have steering wheel control. So one hand means you have less purchase or stability, but if you can do it safely without wobbling or understeering, then it's acceptable. I don't recommend it, though, as an examiner will judge you more harshly for bad steering if you are showing bad habits.
Where he made his first serious fault I think it was not of his own fault but the markings in the road were faded a bit and he still swerve away from that van, so i don't agree that he had a serieous fault for that. But only agree at that part where he rushes when the pedestrians were crossing.

My daughter (who I am currently teaching to drive) is 16 - that's young. Everything's relative so 22 is young compared to me, but not to my daughter. Learning to drive, 22 isn't young.
