I'm from Italy and I passed my test around 2 months ago. I had to change driving schools because on the first one, they teach nothing, not a single maneuver, not the speedway, NOTHING AT ALL. They just took my money, asked me to do the test and failed me (obviously) after changing schools, after 2 weeks of practice with the new instructor I was ready and I passed. Even the examinator asked me "Why did you failed the first one?" so I explain where and why I failed and he said "That school always have the same issue, the instructor was in jail for briving the examinators" so, always go to a school you trust, do your research and if after a couple of weeks you feel stuck, change schools.
This was the perfect example of an instructor teaching somebody to drive, but not teaching them how to be test ready. There is a big difference between the two, and I find it is a constant problem at the moment with many instructors. I’m sorry but her instructor should be ashamed. They’re clearing just taking her money and not even teacher her the basics. Recently passed my driving test From when she said trouble with lane changing that’s already a red flag. And seatbelt is the first thing you should do when getting in a car 🤦🏾♀️
The way she is responding to your question is telling she isn’t paying attention to what you’re talking about. Plus I feel she has language barrier as maybe she isn’t comfortable talking in English so that could seem like an issue to not respond to you exactly and with her driving practices
One of my favorite channels past few weeks, even though I'm a licensed driver for 12years now. Thank you, Pin, for the content. I love your dry humor :D First thing I consistently see in these mock test videos is learners failing to turn left (mostly, but also in other turns) and then going into the opposite lane, just like she did towards the end. It seems like they don't know the wheel can be turned more than 90°. Her being in 3rd gear (*edit) is not ideal, but it's the lack of turning that gets learners most of the time. Second thing that most get wrong is thinking that the clutch is used to slow down the car before turns and I think it's the fault of instructors. Thirdly, UK roundabouts are frickin' weird :D
I wouldnt have the patience of this gentleman to give clear instructions. Greetings from Norway ! Im a truck driver so im use to a bit bigger and heavier vehicles than this however watching this youtuber has given me new insights and knowledge even though they drive on the wrong side of the road. Oh yea I went there !
She needs I’d say maybe about 2 months to build her confidence up in everything abit more. Mirrors are so important. I have done 3 tests and learned to drive for nearly 2 years now and I’ve never went in to traffic from a slip road. I’d imagine that’s scary. But the seatbelt at the beginning is scary haha
This is a new record for the channel, surely? Her instructor must be absolutely terrible telling her to book her test 😮💨 they've basically been scamming money off her.
I’m sorry but her instructor should be ashamed. They’re clearly just taking her money and not even teacher her the basics. The fact she’s never done an emergency stop, or parallel park after 22 hours of lessons is shocking. Bless her she doesn’t stand a chance with her current instructor, so I really hope they either step up or she finds a new instructor! She’s got the very basic bits down, so I don’t think it will take her long with a good instructor. Also she was doing ok until the first major mistake and I think that affected her and her confidence went down then. Also the seatbelt thing I think was nerves.
One thing ill never understand with some learners is why they build speed so damn slow. I understand the initial moving off using a clutch is harder, but going from 15->50 is not difficult at all, and its just fun. Why they barely touch the throttle or go way overgeared is beyond me
I feel like she just needs more lessons with a decent instructor like this one. Clearly she isn’t ready but will be one day. Everyone has to learn. Would be good to hear a update on her :)
I’ve been driving for 8 years and I still watch these to make sure I’m not sticking my bad habits. However, SOOOOOO many drivers nowadays are not indicating. Everyday I experience around 10 drivers switching lanes with no indication. Be safe out there guys. Not everyone who has a license knows how to actually drive 😂
It's mad ain't it. These people that think they're ready before they are. I dread to think what day 1 in a car on their own would be like if they passed. As that's when you really learn. Saying that I hope she passes when she's ready. Good luck.
I waited til my instructor told me i was ready for my test. I felt like I was at one point, then I had another lesson and boom. Simple errors! lapses in concentration. If you have a good instructor they know best. Not for your money, but for road safety. Luckily I knew my instructor before hand so I know he was getting me road safe!
You can move on in 2nd or 3rd in most cars, aslong as you hold the clutch at the biting point for longer as you add gas. It is harder though. Some cars even allow you to move off in 4th
18:48 It will have been a serious fault for that emergency stop! Advice: Brake Harshly / Quickly not firmly and always check both blindspots before moving off!
Result of poor learning. Probably, her old instructor didn't teach her well. I passed my test in first attempt and it was all because of my instructor. She's a gem.
Passed my test on 12th Aug with 3 minors at Loughton Driving Test Centre .These videos have been so helpful and informative. Few observations from my test if it help others:- Previous driving experience and preparation :- I have driven for around 18 years in India and took 6 hours of driving class here in UK. Didn't take any mock test before the test but was driving in UK on my international license from past 6 months. The 3 minors were:- 2 were for not driving upto the speed limit. As per the examinor, I should drive upto 28 if there is a limit of 30 and upto 38 if is there is a limit of 40. I was driving at around 23 and 33 for the two speed limits respectively. Third minor was for control while rev parallel parking. I was really happy as for me it came out perfect. When we started the test, the examinor was observing me a lot but got really relaxed after 20 mins or so. At one moment he was literally enjoying the warm breeze. ( It was 35 degree yesterday😁) Best of luck to anyone who's test is coming soon. Thx to the channel for all the help
As someone who lives in Germany. WTF are these roads? especially the multiple-lane round abouts have 0 marking?! and in general all the road markings are so bad. it looks like the streets in a 3rd world country.
The amount of people telling her she isn’t ready, lawd! 😂. I’m starting my lessons tomorrow, I’ve never sat on the drivers seat in my life…. I don’t even know what gears and the clutch is for 😅
Good video, yes she should put the test back because as you said Pin, it is not just about passing the test. It is the driving afterwards, which she will need to do all on her own. Great roundabouts
By her own admission she's only done 20 lessons and given her level, she may have spent the first few lessons on just the VERY BASICS. That's not to exonerate her instructor who may well be doing a very poor job (her lack of assertiveness suggests she isn't being coached very well). Also I dont know about anyone else but I only did the emergency stop in the two lessons I had pre-test.
14:38 - why is a lack of signal here marked as a minor fault? I personally don't see the point in signalling if there is nobody (pedestrian or vehicle) around and often don't. She's definitely not ready. Would I feel secure being within 20 metres of a driver like this on the road? Not particularly. There was a lack of assertiveness and general concentration here which seems like a reliance on an instructor (who probably isn't doing their job to a good enough degree).
Because signaling before a turn is still legally required even if there's no one around so Idk why you think an actual road test examiner would let it slide.
I feel that in her situation it is her instructors fault, she still drives like she has only had 10-15 hours of lessons, also the fact that she hasn't done proper parking is scary and her instructor needs to be told off lol
before hearing the feedback of this, your right to say to change the test date but if she goes ahead with it she needs to get her nerves under control i believe alot of that is from been to nervous making silly mistakes to not turn the obvious indicator off says to me shes very nervous and this is only a mock test. she definitely needs more lessons before going for her test!
Its not her fault, she has a dodgy instructor who probably never taught her that she needs to wear a seatbelt. (Although it should be obvious) Hopefully she has a new instructor by now
She wasn't actually that bad. I'm pretty sure most of her faults were due to the nerves. Also, I bet a lot of people here criticizing her do mistakes when driving but they swear they are perfect drivers.
When you drive you can't let your nerves to take over you, especially if she is test ready in a week. I struggled with panic attacks and been afraid to get back into driving because of that, but I knew I had to so I've come over my fears and now I can't imagine not driving. People like her unfortunately makes me being stressful while I drive as they seem to be unpredictable
How has her instructor let her book her test already without having ever sone parallel parking or even an ergency stop?!!! With 1 week to go?! I'm sorry to say that as a driver with 18 years experience (I love watching these videos 🙈) I really don't think she is ready for a test yet 😞 She needs plenty more lessons to practice and build up her knowledge & confidence. Good luck for the future Priyanka!
Some people here saying her instructor didn’t teach her properly or hasn’t help her. How do you all know how many lesson she did ??? She does regular lessons ? Some people think after 10 lessons they can go for their test with out realising how dangerous it could be. Clearly she not test standard she needs to focus on regular lessons and stick with her instructor teaching. They quickly switch on to another instructor rather then focusing on their own learning.
With the roundabouts lanes I struggle a bit as well, also gears I’ve struggled just selecting as I forget what I’m in sometimes. I’m so confused how she hasnt down parallel tho
I'm curious - that left side-mounted camera works really well for the parking shots, but how have you fixed it to your car without it sticking out to dangerously, Pin?
Instructor needs to be jailed asap. Its too easy for instructors to get their course they need to go through rigorous training like school teachers because at the moment they are doing it only for the money.

Absolutely, your talking to someone and it's annoying because it's like they're not listening to you, I'm sure she was taking in the feedback though
Any problem?
Exactly, lol.😂😂😂
@JamalBradley-yd7smyes many
Recently passed my driving test
From when she said trouble with lane changing that’s already a red flag.
Yes I agree she should postpone her test until she has had at least 5 to 10 more further lessons to learn manuovres and mirror checks.
This was painful to watch, couldn't complete video. Her instructor has done a terrible job.
passed on friday., thank you for your videos!
Congratulations
@@DGNDriving top man
she definitely is from India, where safety rules are considered optional
Excellent giving of feedback, nice guy
One of my favorite channels past few weeks, even though I'm a licensed driver for 12years now. Thank you, Pin, for the content. I love your dry humor :D
First thing I consistently see in these mock test videos is learners failing to turn left (mostly, but also in other turns) and then going into the opposite lane, just like she did towards the end.
She needs more lessons
This is a new record for the channel, surely?
Her instructor must be absolutely terrible telling her to book her test 😮💨 they've basically been scamming money off her.
I’m sorry but her instructor should be ashamed. They’re clearly just taking her money and not even teacher her the basics. The fact she’s never done an emergency stop, or parallel park after 22 hours of lessons is shocking.
In my opinion they know she’s going to fail and so she’ll keep returning to them for more lessons and they’ll continue to not teach her what she needs to know.
She passed the test 🥰
I passed my test first time yesterday after doing 1 mock test and failing 😂 great to watch these without the anxiety
Definitely! Just keep practicing and improving! 😊
by far this instructor is patient , i have seen many popular instructor vloggers who loose their cool in real life !
Some learning instructors are scammers which I think she ended up with one such one prior to this mock test
Yup that's what I've been thinking also
It's mad ain't it.
18:39 how didn't she stall there? She moved off in 4th? Or is that 2nd?
You can move on in 2nd or 3rd in most cars, aslong as you hold the clutch at the biting point for longer as you add gas. It is harder though. Some cars even allow you to move off in 4th
18:48 It will have been a serious fault for that emergency stop! Advice: Brake Harshly / Quickly not firmly and always check both blindspots before moving off!
Result of poor learning. Probably, her old instructor didn't teach her well. I passed my test in first attempt and it was all because of my instructor. She's a gem.
100%
The driving instructor must have been her friend as there is no way they are letting you drive their car without knowing the basics
Passed my test on 12th Aug with 3 minors at Loughton Driving Test Centre .These videos have been so helpful and informative. Few observations from my test if it help others:-
Previous driving experience and preparation :- I have driven for around 18 years in India and took 6 hours of driving class here in UK. Didn't take any mock test before the test but was driving in UK on my international license from past 6 months.
The 3 minors were:-
2 were for not driving upto the speed limit.
( It was 35 degree yesterday😁)
Best of luck to anyone who's test is coming soon.
Thx to the channel for all the help
As someone who lives in Germany. WTF are these roads? especially the multiple-lane round abouts have 0 marking?! and in general all the road markings are so bad. it looks like the streets in a 3rd world country.
Drivers tend to be better. U need lanes to tell u everything?
The amount of people telling her she isn’t ready, lawd! 😂. I’m starting my lessons tomorrow, I’ve never sat on the drivers seat in my life…. I don’t even know what gears and the clutch is for 😅
Good video, yes she should put the test back because as you said Pin, it is not just about passing the test. It is the driving afterwards, which she will need to do all on her own. Great roundabouts
I failed my first test in 1988 because I drove over a tiny mini roundabout
Never done an emergency stop or reverse parking? She needs a new instructor
So glad I passed my test first time, and don’t have to worry about finding tests with people like this having a test booked
i hate how she has chewing gum in her mouth while he is explaining so disrespectful
I chew gum during driving practical classes to deal with nervousness. That could be why she was doing it.
Keep going,don't lose heart.
before hearing the feedback of this, your right to say to change the test date but if she goes ahead with it she needs to get her nerves under control i believe alot of that is from been to nervous making silly mistakes to not turn the obvious indicator off says to me shes very nervous and this is only a mock test. she definitely needs more lessons before going for her test!
She can take the official test if shes wishes to, but she'll 100% fail. DGN out there low key saving lives fr.
learned alot from ur videos struggling to get licence as of now but ur channel is awsome
how can you forget your seatbelt. get her a bus pass asap
Its not her fault, she has a dodgy instructor who probably never taught her that she needs to wear a seatbelt. (Although it should be obvious) Hopefully she has a new instructor by now
@@David_Trowbridge she should know by common sense 😂
@@David_Trowbridgeit's common sense
She had too many lessons with family members who are also crap drivers but thinking they can teach????!!!!! Glad Priyanka got your advice!!!!x
Scary to see this is quite normal driving standard these days, I’m surprised she didn’t use the mobile once 👍
She wasn't actually that bad. I'm pretty sure most of her faults were due to the nerves. Also, I bet a lot of people here criticizing her do mistakes when driving but they swear they are perfect drivers.
literally
Not that bad, are you serious?
When you drive you can't let your nerves to take over you, especially if she is test ready in a week. I struggled with panic attacks and been afraid to get back into driving because of that, but I knew I had to so I've come over my fears and now I can't imagine not driving. People like her unfortunately makes me being stressful while I drive as they seem to be unpredictable
She won't see this bro
How has her instructor let her book her test already without having ever sone parallel parking or even an ergency stop?!!! With 1 week to go?!
I'm sorry to say that as a driver with 18 years experience (I love watching these videos 🙈) I really don't think she is ready for a test yet 😞 She needs plenty more lessons to practice and build up her knowledge & confidence.
Good luck for the future Priyanka!
Parallel park is shocking but emergency stop TBF I learnt the day of my test 🤣 it's not that difficult a manoeuvre tbh
@@uchihasilver8362yh I learnt the emergency stop the day before my test. Parallel parking should’ve been taught many lessons ago
@@uchihasilver8362 true but its something you should do at least once or twice!
@@uchihasilver8362 exactly, my instructor only did two emergency stop practices with me and they were in the two lessons prior to the test.
14:38 I thought you are meant to avoid signalling if nobody is nearby.
Signal always. You don't have 360 vision, there is a difference between you not seeing anyone, and there not being anyone nearby.
20 hours and she hasn't done parrallel parking?
Same with my (first) instructor, but he also didn't say I could/should book my test after 20 hours with him
Why tf does she keep making that sound. MHM MHM MHM
😂😂😂same thing I was gonna say
Mhm, is just a way of saying she agrees, I think there may have been some zoning out, also which lead to a lack of concentration
probably nerves
question: in the UK is it a must to hand brake every light or you just do it for something else?
Not at all, some just do it for convenience as the don’t want to hold the break pedal🤷♂️
chewing gum is the " villain " in this movie! More focussed on chewing 😅 Need to "intervene " in her chewing my master !
She was nervous, so the seatbelt thing I understand. She did quite well, just needs to practise & confidence. He did a good job teaching her.
You know it is serious when the instructor says the following:- "I had to Intervene" 😄
With the roundabouts lanes I struggle a bit as well, also gears I’ve struggled just selecting as I forget what I’m in sometimes. I’m so confused how she hasnt down parallel tho
She is not ready for the test with that many serious faults
I'm curious - that left side-mounted camera works really well for the parking shots, but how have you fixed it to your car without it sticking out to dangerously, Pin?
Instructor needs to be jailed asap. Its too easy for instructors to get their course they need to go through rigorous training like school teachers because at the moment they are doing it only for the money.
On the driving test can you sit in 1st with the handbrake on or would the examiner give you a minor or worse for not going into neutral?
Just passed today with 7 minors and your video helped me so much so thank u so much pin😀I’m now part of the “passed but still watching” group now lol
the fact she forgot her seatbelt says it all
