It's a great thing putting wood slats back in the bed. So many guys just wimp out and sheet it . Thank you, Chad, for giving me faith in the fellow man.
I will likely have to sheet it for a bit. When I do the wood floor I'll be fixing/replacing the bedsides and painting it, but I want to drive it for awhile before I have to tear it down again
I'm old and really do appreciate the classic trucks being brought back to life. Great to see them on the road! That said I've never been into loud exhaust or burnouts. Don't care for the noise and I want the rubber on my tires not on my driveway.
I hope you do a video with you guys redoing the bed of the truck with wood! I've always wanted to do that, I would rather learn from Chad's Fab!!! I love the quality of work you guys put out!! You need Dusty and Tyson at the shop full time, those guys are awesome and funny !!!
Chad was on today. I see Chad has been playing the straight man all this time. Let it fly my friend, I grew up in a shop of chop busting, sarcasm, and cursing. Love the dash in Gonzo.
THANK YOU! Finally someone that cares about wearing eye protection. I speak from experience as when I was young I used to cut aluminum on a chop saw and wasn't wearing mine. Got a sliver and it slipped to the back of my eye. I didn't know what it was until I finally saw the eye doctor and got it removed. And that was after 3 days of my eye tearing badly.
It's alive! Gonzo lives. What's the hold up on the bed? When finished, it's going to be the envy of many! Chad's Fab has a super cool truck in Gonzo! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
When I do the bed floor I'll also be replacing the bedsides (these are pretty beat up) and they need to be painted and... So I got come old street signs from Paul just a few weeks ago, I'll be making a temporary bed floor with those so I can continue to drive Gonzo. I love driving it and don't want it down again where I just got to get back to being in it again.
Chad back in the day I had a 1969 Camaro with all the normal goodies in a built 327 the exhaust I used 2 1/2 inch pipe and a pair of truck mufflers and it sounded BAD ASS
A few of the hot rod shops, when they don't have any room for mufflers, they now use fins inside the exhaust pipe to spin the air like a turbo to dampen the sound down.
Protect your hearing. Those treasures, conversations with giggles, are something you don’t want to take for granted with your family. If you lose your hearing, you’ll lose those treasures.
In my younger days I had a Honda rice burner with obnoxious muffler. In my 60's now and like it quieter, but with a deep healthy sound. Gonzo sounds great!
I’m always amazed at your attention to detail, intelligence, and work ethic. I also loved today’s words of advice. This is a great channel Chad. Thank you for taking the time to share with us your projects.
Chad I think the truck sounds great and you should do what you all want with it. Great videos love the fun you all have and you can see the family love. ❤️
Sorry about that, lots going on with the kids the past few weeks so Stacie didn't get time to edit. But we're all good and she's back at it, a video will be coming this week 😁😉 Thank you for checking on us!
Your brake caliper rubbing must be the bracket that holds it in place , you may wish to alter it or make new ones ,give yourself some better clearances, just to be sure to be sure
I had a '84 Monte Carlo with a 468 BBC and a 671 on top. The exhaust was 4" pipe with a muffler just back of the headers and a 90 degree bend out the side in front of the back wheel. You couldn't even talk in the car, it was insane.
It was cool seeing y'all at Paul's working on the overlander. I suggested just using a regular tent instead of attaching one to the rig. It might save you some time and I've seen plenty of overlanders use them. Gonzo sounds good just the way it is but I'm not standing there next to you.
I think the procedure is Rotabroach andits performed with annular cutters, I use them to drill out rusted in track roller bolts (just smaller than the threads )
When using your angular cutter on your rotors I would highly recommend Anchor Lube…. I don’t know if it was made to machine Anchors but the more rotten the material is the better the cutters seem to cut
Straight pipes and glaspaks! But my exhaust fan does most of the work in quieting my diesel down. When I had gas engines, dual glasspacks were the norm. Especially on my big block Dodges!
🎉🎉 no resonator she sounds beautiful🎉🎉
I enjoy Chad’s videos, they explain what and why they are doing. They are always in a great mood and the shop isn’t as hectic as other shops are.
Family working together is beautiful!! God bless you all!
The smile on Chads face says it all! Good things come to good people! Thanks for making me smile today!
Love it! "Oh look at my driveway" with the full chuckle still going on 😂

Exhaust sound is perfect.
Yeah .. that muscle sound. Bushyboy Oz
I think the exhaust sounds GREAT! Of course, I'm just a young whipper-snapper. I'll be 70 in January. Love it!
Shine bright - sounds good, brakes work, runs & rides well, fun to drive. Gonzo rocks.

I think Gonzo sounds great the way it is.
Exhaust sounds good best single exhaust I’ve heard
You need a line lock! Your rear brakes are working well. Burn outs will be way easier! Go Go Gonzo
Yeah, there's nothing like being stuck somewhere because you can't do a burnout.
Get them mamma. Make sure those babies stay safe. I love when you make sure they are protected. God Bless.
Just as Chad is using the lathe without eye protection lol
Stacy, garage Momma.
Love that exhaust sound...that's what I'm talking about !
Nice work on Gonzo.
I love the 60’s muscle car sound. This does it well. Ya done good Chad. 😊
The zorst sounded epic. Big thumbs up
Thank you Chad and crew for the update on Gonzo !

Old School Exhaust ..... Loud and Rumblng!!!
2 chamber Flowmaster is my all-time favorite.
Great to see this round of work complete. And Gonzo on the road!
Gonzo is looking great!!
Congratulations Gonzo looks and sounds sweet!
That's a really neat truck! I really like the new instrument panel. I'm looking forward to seeing it when Robbie works his magic on it!
🎉?🎉 definitely awesome truck🎉🎉
Got a buddy that had 3 inch exhaust, no mufflers, ran under rear end, on his 68 Firebird, sounds AWESOME!
I sure miss Utah I lived there for almost 10 years starting in the late eighties. These are just some of the fine people you will find living there..
Great momma looking out for her children.
That sound perfect. Reminds me of several vehicles I had
nice to see Gonzo shred tyres once again, rather impressive burnout at the end if im honest, great video as always, thanks for sharing

May your light be shiny bless you all!!
Gonzo is a nice looking pickup. I like the proportions of it.
Gonzo needs a line lock! Lock up the front to get em rolling, release it to ride it out!
Now you need a tire sponsor . Thanks for sharing !
😂😂😂

Gonzo continues to get better. A lot of messing around to get the rear disks right, but worth it in the end.
That truck sounds awesome and is really starting to look sharp. Great work from all involved.WOW great burnout

Good morning Chad's FAB'ulous family. I enjoy ya'lls videos so much thanks for posting. 👋👋
It sounds good on camera. In the cab is the deal. It’ll sound different with a bed and wielded in😊. God Bless 😊
Truck sounds great just like it is
The sound fits the truck, great job.
Like the sleeper mode for less noise still have a little rumble until you put the pedal to the metal and it comes alive.
Turbo tubes sound great on a street truck
So much fun watching the fine tuning.
Gonzo is coming along great ,nice custom work fellers, the exhaust is just fine, just hook up the left side pipe and your good to go.
In my younger days I had a Honda rice burner with obnoxious muffler. In my 60's now and like it quieter, but with a deep healthy sound. Gonzo sounds great!
Boy Kayden you transfer punch skills are amazing. Joking of coarse

Sounds good! Keep it like it is!!
That sounds nice I would leave it like that

Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
I started using the tap and drill bits in one and never broke one but you do need a little bit more room!
Chambered for sure them old mopars had the chamber sound
Looking awesome chad
Living next to a main street in West Valley, I like vehicles that can be seen, but never heard. Great Job on the build.
Loud and proud

Sounds like it should for a old truck loud and rowdy
If u are wanting to cruise its nice to be quieter but if ur trying to show off then def need loud! Fab Rats Mafia!... but love u guys too!
Nice work on this classic truck.
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
I think when you put that would bed in that will help quiet it down a little bit too
Chad that is a good looking truck. I can't wait to see it with the new floor and a nice two tone paint job.
I think the procedure is Rotabroach andits performed with annular cutters, I use them to drill out rusted in track roller bolts (just smaller than the threads )
Looks like the truck is coming along good. The quality of the truck is nicer too.

Stacy, he was just putting a new free throw line for ya. 😅

Gonzo is gonna again.. nice live the rumble
