Love you Guys, I just spent the last 7 months taking chemo and had my surgery for Pancreatic cancer and Happy to say I am one of the 7% that survived with no issues, So far through the Grace of God. Bless you all
Of all the Utah builders you and Robby have the slowest builds and I am here for it! You all’s attention to detail, getting it looking right as well as functional is amazing. Keep up the wonderful work! We appreciate you all bringing us along for the journey!
If you like seeing a good family that teaches automotive technics with humor, Chad’s Fab is for you. You guys are great and I have been with you from the beginning. Keep up your good work. Your channel will continue to grow.
I really like how griz is turning out. My favorite part about your program is. Family, nothing is more important to you all. Something can wait for spare time to work on it. But Family will always be your main achievement in life. Keep being you, Chad.
I admire your thoughtful work. As an artist-dreamer I gotta tell you that sometimes dreams cut through all the hacking around and deliver a new way to go. At least they do here.
Chad are you holding Grader hostage until Paul finishes the ON X Willy build 😂, he is in good hands with you guys I think Grizzila is the perfect name for the wrecker, enjoy watching.
Chad, you are so fortunate to be able to keep vehicles for 20 years or more. In Upstate NY the winter salt just laughs at us and starts eating away at the body and frame😂
Grizila looks awesome! That body style gets me every time! I wanna cry knowing I sold my '69 back in the day and even sadder I sold a '72 that I had about 2 years ago to a youngin that was "supposed" to be dong a rebuild project with his dad to find out later he sold it shortly after. Oh well, guess I'll never learn. Thank you for sharing and hope all have a blessed week.
Absolutely Chad ! Some of us at the start had troubles with that but upon that good conversation certain changes occured with the retraining of my mind. Bless you all there my friend.

Chad and family thank you for fixing the AC in my daughter car today! It's her birthday tomorrow also and she is really excited to not have to go out to celebrate without AC! You guys are great 👍 I'm glad she is close to an honest and capable auto repair shop! Keep up the great work 🇺🇸
Might have to do some CAD building to give you some ideas for the rear. Sometimes the best way to find the right design is by looking at cardboard mock-up to find the direction it needs to go in, or at least finding what direction you definitely don't want to go.
The tailgate story happened to me as well. My mom stopped by to borrow my truck while i was at work. Unhooked the gooseneck, didn't drop the tailgate, and drove off.
Griz is coming along nicely, and you're paying attention to the details shows in the quality of the work also shows in your craftsmanship! Good video as usual! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
To resolve so of the heat problems with the exhaust. Build some ducting which directs air onto the exhaust pipe, same way as Super cars direct air away from the wheel cavities. Or put a larger pipe around the exhaust pipe and insulate between the pipes.
We did that when we were kids spend a week at a friends house then they would spend a week at our house and most the time our parents wouldn’t even notice lol .
I suggest a front protective bumper (roll bar like law enforcement) instead of the original looking one you have that has already sustained some damage. Enjoy your videos. 👍🏽
Chad love your channel, need a little favour, can you talk to the folk at Onx and tell them to come to Australia as we need it here. Thanks and just remember when you clean the vacuum cleaner, you become the vacuum cleaner!
Love to see you working on the grizz. Looking forward to seeing you out using it. Curious to see how you plan on dealing with heat from the exhaust that close to the winches and how you will make make access to the free wheel knobs? Not sure how deep the winchs will be in the boxes and if you will need to put the fairlead out away from the winches? No doubt you will be creative
Chad, as far as I know you should be abe to kit a kit to move the winch motor to the top of the winch housing and some winches are built that way from the outset. Without the motor to the side of the winch drum you will be better able to place your side winches. I'm in the UK and I think a company called Gigglepin makes kits for Warn winches - have a look for inspiration and then find something closer to home.
Hey chat and family...I was looking at the latest video and was thinking about back mud guards maybe some of those extruded plastic like what's on most semi's as far as know they make also in singles....keep up the great work guys and be safe.😊
I know it would be a ton of work, but you should take apart one of the Badlands 1200 winches and shorten the barrel. You might have a little bit less line. But it would be a way to have all the same. And you have custom build the whole truck. So why not customize the winches.
Chad as your staring at the truck all of a sudden the special effect should've been smoke from your ears as the truck bed grinds your gears just kidding love the show the truck is beautiful can't wait for the scout
Here is an Idea how making plat of steel that is high as the batterys that way will alot more room for the wench you will need to use thicker steel maybe at least a half inch that way you can pull something that is in the 9,000 weight. Good luck.
Could mount your winch on the top and make the other spot a box for soft shackles or are you looking to keep the winch “hidden” the project is looking great.
If you need a small winch warn makes a 9k rock crawler winch it's a little spendy but Its small enough to fit in tight spaces it's how I was able to setup a rear winch in a tight space. I believe it's called the warn 9.0RC it's red, it's a good little winch.
Getting rid of the tail pipe rattle, should be easy if you follow your suggestion of installing a flex pipe the tail pipe extension can be mounted solid
Love you guys and the channel. I watch everything y'all put out and truly enjoy it! Now, why not run that exhaust out the rear like God intended and then mount whatever winch you want, where you want?? Sometimes we cripple ourselves...
Those areas are looking great. Some people don't realize that there's No ordering panels as nothing is what is was, and they wouldn't function the ways you want anyway. (If I were working on that corner,it'd still be blank. The squirrel in my wheel has a limp;)
Are you going to add any tow points to the front of Grizila for other yanking or towing in series? I'm not a fan of using my winch as a tow rope, always embeds the line & is hard on the brake/gears of the winch.

Chad, talk to Paul about your naming the onX Offroad overlander build "Hillwilly" for obvious reasons. LOL! 😁
Opening the upper window(s) in the peak walls would help to let the hot air out.
Keep up the great videos.
They're just skylights. They don't open 😉
@@chadsfab You can fix that with a rock LOL
Love the time you take for a quality build!
I kept expecting you to change your mind and install the Badlands in the ledge above the exhaust.
Going to put a box there. Need somewhere for all the tools this thing will need 😉
Good job guys. Like your efforts to do things right. Thanks for sharing.
Just a thought Chad, Why don't you shorten the drum on the winch?? Obviously you'll lose a little rope length but probably no big deal?
Was worried about ya there for a few days. It's been a while since you posted good fella, thanks for that video. I hope all is well 🙏
All's good, just had a lot going on with the boys and rather than trying to multi-task and not give either our attention we focused on them
Raise the platform above the exhaust and put the wrench on it and make the space under it as a soft shackle space.
Love the Grizila license plate. The bed is coming along. Step at a time!
You just need a vacation Chad, time to unwind, and let your creative juices start to flow again!
Good morning Chad family from Sunny Florida🐊❤. Chad to the rescue 🙌🏼🇺🇲
Went to Florida for the first time last month, great state you have there!!! Met some of the nicest people too!!
FYI- I have one of those Harbor Freight ZXR 9500 winches on my truck and it's right around 21 inches long. plus it's a bit lower profile
When you get stuck you have ‘too many minds’ and it causes confusion…..have no mind…..creativity will just flow. 🙏🏻

You have to add some black and orange to that boom. Since the new plates ( Which I love the new name) are black.

Sounds good y’all stay comfortable we can hearU❤❤❤❤❤🎉
So the fender radias’ are “zackly the same septin one’s different” great work as always!
Thanks for posting!
For your rear fenders, take a look at what Rory at Trail Mater did with Robby Layton's old wrecker.
It may help to consider what you're going to keep in the boxed area of each space to help create the shape of the space.
Have you thought about enclosing the space under the wench, a welder unit would fit under there and be protected from the elements.
It's probably hard to get a plate with two Z's here in Utah. I like your choice though, it looks great in black.
Glad your back.
Could mount your winch on the top and make the other spot a box for soft shackles or are you looking to keep the winch “hidden” the project is looking great.
Might be to late to suggest, but would it be possible to set the "side winch" up higher, to go over the top of the exhaust?
i love that this show is a family affair and why is your shop cleaner than matts fabs
rats and robbies and trail maters
You might consider planting some trees along the road to soften the traffic noise. Love your videos!
There’s perfection, then there’s Chads way 😳👌
That exhaust is going to melt either winch or rope. Puzzled about choice of mounting it there. 🤔🤔🤔✌️

Getting rid of the tail pipe rattle, should be easy if you follow your suggestion of installing a flex pipe the tail pipe extension can be mounted solid
Why not put the winch on top of the plate by the batteries? The bottom could be storage.
Use a 12" peace of garden hose over the cable and the ground clamp to make a stranrelefe
Love you guys and the channel. I watch everything y'all put out and truly enjoy it!
