  • My 2002 Harley-Davidson VRSC that had a very rough 34,000 mile life. I've been replacing basically everything on the V-ROD, from the grips, to the mirrors, to the brakes, to the tires. Now it's time to take it across the finish line, everything has been replaced and we're throwing the rear wheel and brakes back together. Then we can put all the chrome trim back on and take it for a quick test ride!

Love these videos with your dad. Mine was a process engineer & I loved working with him. He got me my 1st job doing data entry at a sewage plant, and growing up with him I knew how to read process diagrams, so when time came to tag the pumps & valves & such for the maintenance schedules I was data entering I got the job of crawling the site to physically tag all the parts. This was back in the 80's. So I love the you & dad videos. Brings back good memories. Speaking of memories, it was the scarecrow that wanted a brain, Nick Chopper wanted a heart. Just sayin'... One of my favorite bikes was my old 2002 VROD I bought in 2008 with less than 3k miles. I loved that bike and rode it cross country twice, putting 50k miles on it. It was going to need approximately $3500 worth of work to keep it going (steering head rebuild, front end rebuild, clutch, tires, brakes, oil change, etc.) and I couldn't justify spending that much when it was only worth about $5k. Ended up trading it in and Harley gave me $4200 for it which I put towards a new Fat Bob. I still miss it.

The power felt great, liked the sound, was very comfortable (mid controls like I prefer) but it just didn't handle as well as I'd prefer.
