2:24 b is jump on switch and a is dodge, with the 4 letter buttons xbox and switch are oppisite

I think the absolute best way to advance quickly is to play with a family member who is already a high level player :). Btw-nice vid.
Brought up many friends that way, but they loses interest very quickly afterward. Think the problem with boosting progress that way is that they do not really get to enjoy playing and learning the game, so there is not as much sense of accomplishment from progressing as compared to those who played and struggled through the game by themselves.
I think this is really helpfull for beginners so they´ll know what gear to craft in the beginning.
I recently got some of my friends to start playing with me and I really wish this video would have been there for me to show them Instead of having to answer and explain every one of thier questions until my mouth went dry from talking XD

Thank you so much for stating the button prompts across all platforms. I love the fact I don’t have to hear some smart ass, small minded remarks about consoles from a damn Dauntless partner that cannot figure it out like OhDuh. As a father and old time gamer, my kids enjoy the consoles while jam on the PC. Gets tiring hearing bloated crap sometimes. No, seriously, thank you so much for exact and to the point explanations to the games mechanics.

I'm already far into the late game and didn't think this video would provide anything I didn't already know. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised with some of the info, for example that the part damage covers up the raw damage, I just always assumed no raw damage was done when hitting a part since the number doesn't pop up if its not broken. Well done.
I remember starting early game not knowing what cells were and thinking "meh probably dont need these anyway" XD

I think having fun with a game is more important than perfecting the time efficient and whole playthrough
Although I can't argue with any of your point in the video, I think a tips and tricks will help beginner more without too restricting of their overall game experience like Read the tutorial, behemoth info in journal after your first encounter and some cell that should be start getting when starting out, which you did on gatherable and iceborne is great
Lastly, elemental advantage do matter in early game since early game doesn't have many way to form a effective perks and the elemental advantage has way more impacts than some+1 +2can do

Exotic weapons aren’t meant to be the best weapons in the game, just a different way to play. It provides a different experience with its own kind of fun. It’ll do the job for the most part

Gonna start today. Never played this type of game but it looks pretty fun.been playing outriders but not getting the gear I need after the hundreds of hours I've put in is getting g a bit boring. Maybe I'll try it again after they fix it
Awesome! Unfortunately this guide in particular is a bit outdated, as the main level up and progression system has changed quite a bit

It's very weird to me how so much of what I've seen from this community online is that the default player is at end game and has automatic access to every high level item. I know it's been around for a while, but where did y'all start at? The learning curve for this game is pretty steep and it's hard to find many resources to help out beginners or even mid-game players as not only are guides assuming you have access to all weapons/armor, but that you have a deep knowledge of the game's vocabulary.
The main way I started out originally was being bad at the game.
When I made my way into dauntless discord servers in the community, I got better, and developed more of an understanding of the stuff.
As far as Dauntless reforged goes, those of us who were already end game were naturally placed into a bit more of an end game situation. I will be visiting a fresh account at some point soon.
@@TheMrTrails Thank you for taking the time to reply and I do want to add that this is more of a general observation rather than something directed specifically at you. I do appreciate the content you make and its unfortunate that this video, as others have stated, is now outdated--it must be hard to be a creator and keep up with the mechanics of this game lol. I do think that says something about the dedication the devs have though. I'm fairly new but have been pleasantly shocked by how regularly the game is updated. I look forward to seeing your perspective on the game from a fresh start :)

Did they also remove repeating elements with the sword rework? I'm a hammer main but came into the game right at the sword rework so I don't think it's here anymore
Praise be, the cursed combo is gone.
Strikers introduced what the game needed, multiple different combos to get the best damage output from your weapon. All other weapons relied on a single combo, such was the case with Repeating elements on sword. While it was fun in the way of a just mental AFK sort of way, the change is for the better, and I hope the other weapons go as smoothly as it has.

Wish i watched when i started. i still suck at game sad.
It’s never too late...just watch a video and try to pick up one piece of strategy and use it in your game play. You’ll be amazed at how easily you can apply some of the tips.
