That's a good question. I can only speak to my living accommodations. I remember seeing sprinklers, a fire extinguisher in the hallway, and an exit sign by the stairway next to the elevator.
I miss Da Nang as well as Nha Trang. I loved the site of a beach crowded with locals between 5:30am to 7:00am when they are out there exercising, then go home to have breakfast then go to work. From there to 4:00pm the beach are quiet and the tourists get to enjoy the hot sun with far fewer people. Then the whole local exercise scene repeats from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. What a life huh? I envy you and hope you meet friendly helpful Vietnamese, eat delicious food at great price and see beautiful sites.
Lee, just watched video and immediately subscribed. I truly respect and appreciate you making the decision to live in the more authentic part of the city (away from all the shiny buildings and tourism). I am a burned out teacher here in America and cannot stop thinking about a new start in Da Nang. Appreciate any advise you can give. Enjoy. Respect.
Best piece of advice I can give you. Go to Vietnam on a vacation first, that will let you get a feel for the vibe of the city and you'll learn if Vietnam is right for you. If you want to teach English in Vietnam, start in Ho Chi Minh city and get established as an experienced teacher before moving to a smaller city Like Denang where jobs are not as plentiful. Good Luck.
@@leesmithwalkabout1953 Thanks, Lee. Everything on hold for now, but Vietnam still on the radar. I am a certified teacher in America with a masters degree and 20 years of experience. I hope job will not be that difficult. Best of luck to you in the future wherever the road takes you.
Great content, thanks very much. If you had to guess, how many miles is the shoreline of the beach? I'm a runner and was wondering if there's enough viable space to run along the beach (at around 5 am before the Sun gets too hot)
@@rosegarden0988 Sorry, don't know about dogs on the beach. Never saw one there but if you are at the North end of the beach I don't think anyone would mind.
When I would travel to hang out with my Western friends, we would usually end up in the My An area of Da nang. My $.02 worth, I think that is where most of the Western foreigners are hanging out.
Hi Mapia, the more you write and speak English the better you'll get. Keep up the good work. I know there are English schools, but I'm not sure about international schools.
High rises all over the place, gotta wonder about quality/building codes/fire suppression etc.

I love this video, looks beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!

Do you know "China Beach", the US TV series with Dana Delany, was after Da Nang Beach.
The series plot was about the military Hospital during the war
Your commentary is awesome. :)
Thank you so much. I thought it was the same so i gona look better for it. Again thank you.

Good question...in my case, it"s.walking with my doggie. Do they allow dogs on the beach...
The shoreline of Da Nang is quite long, I think you can walk (or Run) all the way from Da Nang south to An Bang near Hoi An, about 20 miles.

So where is the expact area or district?

What district do you live in? Planning a trip to danang in January to April.
I lived in the San Tra district North of the Hahn bridge road. Moved back to Ohio about 3 months ago.
