I was there in '69, a number of other anniversaries, and this year's 50th. This video practically has me in tears seeing this all again. I shot a lot of video but not so documenrary-style as this. Beautiful! Kudos!

I grew up few minutes away from there and remember going in 1995 I was 15 to the anniversary it wasn’t bethel woods back then it was just land and a bunch of young kids hanging out with live bands .. it was the 90s so we heard bands playing nirvana music and Red Hot Chili Peppers . Me being only 15 I got pot and I got to drink a few cans of beers and hanged out with a few teens and college kids . What night it was real cool and carefree .

Glenn Eldridge It was nice seeing a recap of that weekend. I was there for the 50th Anniversary. I was also there at the original Woodstock Festival. I wrote a book entitled, "We are Woodstock". Read the synopsis on Amazon and if you like it, buy it. It's a nice read with lots of information, but given to you in a novel form. Katherine Boyd on the Classic Vinyl XM station loved it and mentioned it on her show and the Woodstock Museum carries it. Thanks Ed for a little remembrance.

You really captured it so well! Not too much talk, great video. The museum really made a huge impact on me in 2018, my first visit and I still get tears in my eyes every time I go. I learned about the 50th that first visit and have returned for it, and at least once a year since. Wonderful place to visit and like you I am too young to have been at the original. But the community has kept the light burning all this time. Thank you and happy travels!

Now this looks like the actual crowd and lineup that the oldies from the og woodstock would actually be interested in lol. such a stark contrast from 94 and 99. If they threw the real woodstock that year, it wouldve ended even worse than 99 did, especially if they went through with MWPP for venue

attended the 30th anniversary show 'a day in the garden'.met Wayne Rogers, a world famous waste head. (because of the film ,where he stumbles out of a port-o-san w/ a hash pipe that I'm told has opium in it). I won't repeat how much LSD he was on, because he'll tell you. but he was as lucid as can be in '99. a great guy. loves music. I hung around bullshitting w/ an American icon. hello, Wayne .hope you're out there .Arlo Guthrie was great on Sunday nite. he told his personal story about flying in w/ a State trooper, making it a great Summer night of storytelling. the only time I ever saw Arlo was that night, on historic ground.

Woodstock, the concert that allowed the masses to hear these great new styles of music that went on at least till the end of the century.
    Now music sucks ass again.
Not even a Woodstock 50th anniversary will change that.
People don't play instruments anymore, they just push buttons.
Soon they wont even be doing that, there will be robots doing that.
Or some machine will be doing that for you and we wont be waiting till the year 2525 for that.

also, the keys on a piano or keyboard are called keys. The pads on a drumpad are called pads. theyre not buttons, buttons typically serve a more simple purpose than creating music. but... ya know, whatever ya say, 73 yr old man on the internet lol

@@TheBrandonn OH there's a couple two or three good songs in the past 20 yrs, but it still sucks and your whiney response only displays your jealousy of this fact.
Do you mean you've never played drums electronically using your fingers?
Well by gosh, even og's had those.
