As a guitar player, there's no other place on the face of the planet to visit the site of Woodstock this year in my old age I am going to visit there for the first time

This is now hallow ground. Here sat, stood-up, etc ... the boomer generation, of which those who are still with us, are now in their late 60's to early 70's. The greatest generation to rock the world, of which there are still ripples. Hope future generations remember and never forget those magical ✨ times ! ☮️✌️
From the song Woodstock by Crosby Stills Nash & Young ( CSNY ): ☮️... by the time we got to Woodstock we were half a million strong ...☮️

A truly amazing accomplishment of a generation. Woodstock was, is and will always be a celebration of a spirit of the times and as such will never be duplicated . Whether you were there or not it is a truly magical event to look back on.

That was awesome. Good job guys. Wouldn’t it have been even more surreal if they added a day halfway in to the weekend and announced that the Doors, Stones and lastly, THE BEATLES would be there?? One can dream.

Lots of amazing performances were at Woodstock but none IMO as iconic as Jimi performing "The Star Spangled Banner" . Thanks for the extra insight that I never knew about. Great content Xander!

Out of the 450,000 people that were there. I wonder how many of those people are still alive today.

I still have the polaroid photo my mom took of me at 16 when I was at the 20th anniversary concerts at Bethel. Mom took the picture handed me the dog's leash and off I went, was a great time. Echo Hard! "Doc"

Shout out to Camden! Just saw ZZ Top / Skynyrd there last weekend. I've been going up to Woodstock (Bethel) a couple times a year for probably 20 years and it NEVER gets old. ✌

Just down the road Hector's bar. The anniversary weekend of Woodstock they hold a little festival every year been to that about 4 times. The best the best place to stay up there is the lazy pond bed & breakfast I heard there is have new owners.

It's a field and a pavilion which costs around $100 to enjoy. That's five times the 1969 price.

Legend has it, all the mushrooms that grow on the property have hallucinogenic effects due to the LSD rich soil.

All due respect to Jimi Hendrix if I was paying him 18K he would have gone on Saturday night around 8 o’clock he was the highest paid. The WHO only got paid $6,250 it’s just my opinion he should have gone on earlier.

Glad you changed your name. Hard to keep a name like "stay metal Ray" after crying online, pretending someone tried to kill you, because you watched Lords of Chaos past bed time.
