Many thanks also, its amazing how many ppl you have helped just by doing a simple video and deciding to share it with the world for that,, thank you. Will tackle this job in the next few weeks.
Hello. I have a thp engine. I have a high pressure problem in the pipes. I think there is damage in the gasket. How do I know if there is damage in the gasket?
Thank you for this very useful instructions. Your instructions also fit to Peugeot 308CC (THP) - as I own. Can you give me some more information about the sealing grease (RTV Silicone) for the corners? Any recommanded products?
i would wish to see this on the thp200 from 2012, want to remove mine but its a bit different to this one, also its hard to get these bolts nearby the airfilter. u also have to remove the heat shield
I have had my valve gasket changed on my Citroen C5 1.6 THP but can still hear a whistling sound from the engine oil cap... I cannot find a pcv valve diaphragm on my model nor yours.... Can you advise?
At 5:41 in this video I have them laid out in the correct order.

I understand that there are several versions of valve covers, the last one I think allows the pcv valves to be changed without changing the cover, some say that gas recirculation works better, what is your opinion about it?
I wouldn't replace the valve cover itself unless it was either leaking or over 200,000kms. If you do want to replace it for either of those reasons I'd personally just refit the variant that came with the car since you'd have to upgrade the turbo intake pipe as well if you changed.
At 6:28 I show the correct torque sequence. I recommend using this sequence, but you would likely be fine using a generic pattern going from inside to outside.
hi. what's your opinion for a 408 2012 1.6t with 180k miles, is it necessary to reuse the old original cover or change to a new oem cover? Thanks in advance
Examine the valve cover for any signs of damage or wear. Look for cracks, warping, or any other physical damage. If the valve cover is damaged, it will need to be replaced. A cracked valve cover might not seal properly, and this can cause vacuum leaks. These leaks can lead to rough idling or even engine misfires. You can also look at where oil is leaking from, if it's low down it's likely the gasket, if it appears to come from higher up on the valve cover it could be due to a crack.
@@HeroRepairs Thank you for your answer. I have examined the valve cover and I have not identified visible damages but I clearly have vacuum leaks and rough idling. Thank you.

I would advise replacing the valve cover
@@HeroRepairs Thanks for the reply! noted. much appreciated
Hi, thank you for your work. How do you know if you have to change only gaskets or the entire valve cover ?

Sorry but I can't understand the question? Are you asking about common problems with the THP engine?
