How To Replace Coolant Citroen DS5 1.6 THP, (DS3, DS4, Peugeot 3008, 5008, RCZ etc)

No nonsense guide on replacing the Coolant in Prince engines. This one is a Citroen DS5 with the 1.6 THP, EP6. This should be the same on the Citroen DS3, DS4, Peugeot 3008, 5008, RCZ, Mini R55, R56, and BMWs with the N12 and N14 engine.

Thanks for the video, it is very informative! I followed the procedure (without using the header tank), but I have an issue - when I unscrew the lower bleeding point nothing comes out, neither bubbles nor coolant. The upper bleeder, behind the air filter housing works fine. Do you know what could be the reason for that?

Try with a header tank, sometimes you get a stubborn airlock which is why we use a header tank. The higher the tank the better it will displace trapped air.

What coolant do you use?

I think he is using a yellow coolant. Probably oat coolant, which come in different colours and can be mixed. Good for 10 years in a new car then change every 5 years.
