Great video. Thanks! I have never heard of the 1203-USB. Pretty handy. I use PF523 a lot. PF525 some time. I use the keypad for IP address setting. Ever connected a PF523 control module directly to a PC using a simple USB-A/B cable. The drive resides in the control module. Recognizing is slow but it works. Wonder this can work on PF525 address setting. Will try when I have a PF525 on hand. Start source and speed reference 3 is checked before 2 and 2 before 1. So, I guess leaving 1 as keypad will still work for Ethernet/IP operation as it is default on 3. I usually remove the keypad start to prevent unexpected operation from the keypad. There is one parameter to prevent the STO from faulting out the drive but still disable it. This will still work for estop and save a wire for resetting the fault. One beauty of PF525 Ethernet/IP is the CPU can read a lot of real time values from the drive through messaging. I have ever read the temperatures of the power module and control module. This is a nice feature to monitor the control panel temperature indirectly if you suspect the cooling is not sufficient.

I leave the keypad although I change the control to Ethernet instead of keypad, meaning I disable the start/stop and speed controls

At first, I would like to thank you for sharing your knowledge. By the way, is setting parameter C128 to 1 and C129 to C136 (IP & Subnet) in the PF525 during replacement is sufficient enough to guarantee that the replacement drive will work properly? Given the old and the replacement is identical, i.e. model and firmware version and using the same protocol E/IP. Thank you.

Set the IP address then cycle power then edit from there
