    Hello,
    Great review! I would like to ask, what is the best brushless 1/10 monster truck for jumps and dirt, in your opinion. Also, what you think about the hpi jumpshot sc flux (I'm looking for a nice short course truck 2WD brushless), or do you think the senton 4x2 (with the brushless upgrade), or even the team associated pro2 sc10, are better? Which one do you recommend? Thanks and cheers from Portugal!

    They are teasing a new savage on IG. But with most hpi vehicles I think there are much better options out there at cheaper prices

    I recently got the bullet mt 3.0 (nitro) and i agree with you, carriers/knuckles are garbage, suspension is fantastic, absorbs bumps very well, rough terrain is its intended field of play, handles really well, 8 shocks are over kill but it demonstrates why they put them on every time i drive it. The build quality is very good in my opinion even though i bought mine used. The current prices for a new one are really high for what the electric model is, its nitro counter parts i believe is almost competitively priced.
    Happy bashing with whatever you all choose 👍

    HRP needs to add more photo's on their site for this stuff. You get 2 photo's of the few hpi trucks I checked out, both with the body on. I was thinking maybe the "ST" version would have had 4 shocks, but appears to also have 8. Not sure what differentiates the MT to the ST other than the body/tires.

    Great review Razor and I enjoy seeing your thoughts and experiences with the different options on the market :)
    That being said; after looking at this my mind wondered towards the Tamiya Monster Trucks like the Lunchbox but especially the Clodbuster since they're also an older brand that's still around like HPI (not massively comparable though in terms of market and purpose).
    I'm aware that they've never been a bashing brand or particularly performance orientated (outside of their race kits from about a decade ago) and that they're generally shelf queens or for nostalgia but I'm interested to see how the durability and usability of some of them are.
    If you're ever interested in something like that I'm morbidly curious as to how a Clodbuster or Lunchbox would hold up in one of your Skate Park Bash sessions ;)
    That being said though they're pretty goddamn expensive and it would be rude of me to demand you to look into but if it's something that crosses your mind one day then it will definitely have my undivided attention.

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's always a possibility, but IMO the Tamiyas are pretty obsolete and weren't even really that great in the 80's, and more of a nostalgia toy than anything else by today's standards.

    • @kspectre21
      @kspectre21 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RazorRC Oh yea they're definitely not up to anything capable nowadays. Especially when you look at the state of their ESC's compared to contemporaries not considering what it's been put in.
      I might buy a Tamiya kit one day just for something to put together and light driving. I'm going to be interested to see how long it will last though and what will be the breaking point. I'm mostly after some of those bodies after all, damn the Clodbuster looks good 👀

    Hello guys. Nice review and I have been waiting for this. Let me add my personal experience here. I am fan of HPI (2x WR8, 2x Bullet, one Blitz flux) I bought first Bullet 7(?) years ago, then sold it due to many parts broken but 2 months later bought another one. I missed that rig. Well, I like this car even knowing it is very fragile, but for some reason I still own it. Front CVs is mandatory, dogbones jumps out very quickly. Front arms are fragile and I changed many of them. I am not fan of ALU upgrades. I used many of them but then I went back to original plastic. Never had any problem with electronic. This is good car for someone who already knows how to do jumps, definitely not for beginner. On 3s it is a rocket, full of power. Premium looking, yes, however very fragile. I am still happy about it but my local RC shop owner is even happier (spare parts). Next time I go for Arrma car. Again, I fully agree with this review. 😀

    Razor RC. You have the best content of any RC channel on YT. Can you please tell me, what is the most common size (diameter) of 1/10 scale axle shafts. I'm talking about the threaded ends where the nuts screw on to hold the wheels. The ones on my team associated reflex 14B are 4 mm in diameter. How about the Team Associated 1/10 Pro4 SC10 truck, are those also 4 mm?

    I don't think $445 is a fair price to put on this. It's been listed here in the states for around $360-ish for most of this year. While I agree that still doesn't compare to nowadays Arrma, you have to realize this platform is decade old. When I bought mine in 2014 for $330, it was a steal. Back then: 4wd brushless powered Bullet on 3s vs the equally priced brushed stampede on 2s max? Easy choice!

    • @RazorRC

    i agree HPI is way over priced for what you get. there savage xl they released a while back is the same truck as before and over priced for a 6s rig as well as the savage x they just released. its the same old rig with a few changes and over $700 for a 6s rig i think they dropped the ball again on thos 2 cars. there quantion line is a decent price for what you get
