My church group is taking the free boat ride to see the ship channel then over to Monument Inn for lunch after in April 2023. Can’t wait. Live here in Houston an have not been in years. Watching you guys eat is so amazing. My lil tip is No Soda til after eating cause we all know how delish it is with any meal. That carbonated drink fills you up but you guys are on it. And those adorable children eating salad. You are blessed. Had to laugh about ‘number 3’? Uh, hard No. love it. No need for me to view the menu before hand now. Fried oysters are the star. I live about five miles from the Monument Inn and it is the best in the area for fresh seafood, all you can eat oysters on the half shell , boiled shrimp fried oysters fried shrimp stuffed crabs fried catfish fries and to end it with home made cinnamon rolls. And that’s on the all you can eat dinner, they have many other options on all sorts of grilled blackened and baked seafood as well. All this while looking at the ships coming and going in the Houston ship channel and within a stones throw from where Texas won it’s independence from Mexico.
@@DavidSriracha Not as good as this particular buffet. California don't have a seafood buffet that has king crab legs. I've got to fly out to Texas to check out the Monument and the seafood buffet. Thanks for posting and sharing your experience with your family David.

Glad the family is doing better. I think we all do that when ordering. Get appetizers, or eat too much of one thing at the beginning, then when the main plate comes we are 2/3rds full lol. It did look good and I was glad ya'll got to take some home. I thought it was well worth it. Great Job!

I see you managed to make it to Monument Inn. If you hadn't...I'd have mentioned it. I've been eating here since I was a kid. I remember when it was $20.00 a plate. I also remember when the building was in a different location and it was a wood framed cabin with a wooden porch all around the outside. Looked like a beach cabin, but the food was great. I also remember when you got the All-You-Can-Eat, instead of steak you could get Red Snapper, Flounder, Trout, Sea Bass, Grouper, and Oyster and Crab soup as part of the meal. Of course you got hush puppies and cornbread with dinner rolls... Those days are gone, but not forgotten by us old-timers. Thanks for the memories...

It has been a while since you uploaded a video. You mentioned the kids was sick. It’s still wintertime and Texas has bad weather which don’t help. This buffet wasn’t bad with all those raw oysters. Fried seafood isn’t too good, but your steak is great. Your wife and kids had fun eating, then had fun on the beach making it a great outing 😊

I've been to the monument do many times 😊 me and my big sister would grab us a lunch plate and go sit there and just look at everything 😊.

@@DavidSriracha Yeah we are getting better like you and your family Clarence and I have had sinus infection with chest cold and then he got better and he went to the neighbors house and by dark he was sick and the next day I was sick with Covid but because I was already on antibiotics the doctor just added more antibiotics and as soon as we got better he caught something from someone at his job and yep I caught it too so he and I have sick since January lol but I am glad to see 👀 yall I've missed yall so much.

9:28 - your kids are just so darn cute,, and good question, about if they charge extra if you dont finish it, as that is what Ocean Crab (in chantilly, va) does,, but i see why they do it. but the rule is, anything in the bucket (where shells go) doesnt get weighed or checked so, if at the end, i just cant finish that last shrimp or whatever, i do my best but then kind of hide it in the bucket, lol. but im careful to avoid fluffy stuff like bread, potatoes and corn (that the ocean crab adds to any ayce order) and as i get full, i will not just re order, i will say “just bring me 2 more blue crab or 1 more cluster of legs” etcc, to avoid wasting food even if they didnt that rule. ok, back to the video. :-)

If you like brazilian steakhouses (like Texas de Brazil) if you're even in the Dallas area..you should try Villa's brazilian steakhouse...their prices are crazy reasonable..like $30 for dinner! And their pao de queijo is some of the best ive had compared to similar restaurants!!

I live about five miles from the Monument Inn and it is the best in the area for fresh seafood, all you can eat oysters on the half shell , boiled shrimp fried oysters fried shrimp stuffed crabs fried catfish fries and to end it with home made cinnamon rolls. And that’s on the all you can eat dinner, they have many other options on all sorts of grilled blackened and baked seafood as well. All this while looking at the ships coming and going in the Houston ship channel and within a stones throw from where Texas won it’s independence from Mexico.

Glad the family is doing better. I think we all do that when ordering. Get appetizers, or eat too much of one thing at the beginning, then when the main plate comes we are 2/3rds full lol. It did look good and I was glad ya'll got to take some home. I thought it was well worth it. Great Job!

I see you managed to make it to Monument Inn. If you hadn't...I'd have mentioned it. I've been eating here since I was a kid. I remember when it was $20.00 a plate. I also remember when the building was in a different location and it was a wood framed cabin with a wooden porch all around the outside. Looked like a beach cabin, but the food was great. I also remember when you got the All-You-Can-Eat, instead of steak you could get Red Snapper, Flounder, Trout, Sea Bass, Grouper, and Oyster and Crab soup as part of the meal. Of course you got hush puppies and cornbread with dinner rolls... Those days are gone, but not forgotten by us old-timers.

It has been a while since you uploaded a video. You mentioned the kids was sick. It’s still wintertime and Texas has bad weather which don’t help. This buffet wasn’t bad with all those raw oysters. Fried seafood isn’t too good, but your steak is great. Your wife and kids had fun eating, then had fun on the beach making it a great outing 😊

I've been to the monument do many times 😊 me and my big sister would grab us a lunch plate and go sit there and just look at everything 😊.

@@DavidSriracha Yeah we are getting better like you and your family Clarence and I have had sinus infection with chest cold and then he got better and he went to the neighbors house and by dark he was sick and the next day I was sick with Covid but because I was already on antibiotics the doctor just added more antibiotics and as soon as we got better he caught something from someone at his job and yep I caught it too so he and I have sick since January lol but I am glad to see 👀 yall I've missed yall so much.

9:28 - your kids are just so darn cute,, and good question, about if they charge extra if you dont finish it, as that is what Ocean Crab (in chantilly, va) does,, but i see why they do it. but the rule is, anything in the bucket (where shells go) doesnt get weighed or checked so, if at the end, i just cant finish that last shrimp or whatever, i do my best but then kind of hide it in the bucket, lol. but im careful to avoid fluffy stuff like bread, potatoes and corn (that the ocean crab adds to any ayce order) and as i get full, i will not just re order, i will say “just bring me 2 more blue crab or 1 more cluster of legs” etcc, to avoid wasting food even if they didnt that rule. ok, back to the video. :-)

If you like brazilian steakhouses (like Texas de Brazil) if you're even in the Dallas area..you should try Villa's brazilian steakhouse...their prices are crazy reasonable..like $30 for dinner! And their pao de queijo is some of the best ive had compared to similar restaurants!!
