Watts Scania FL Unloading

When I was covering for a driver in 2014, I needed to get an unloading video of the Watts Scania, given the fact it was a half pack with a tipping body, a front lift model which is virtually extinct now! The first attempt at doing this I actually uploaded years ago, with the load packed way too tight and jammed in the body. A second attempt saw me shoot another discharge straight into the pit, but the load was extremely dusty, which covered up all the action and caused the camera to lose focus. The third attempt resulted in this video, just a bugger it wasn’t a direct pit dump, instead it’s a gradual spread across the tipping floor. It was a different ballgame with this front load gear, more so with dry wastes and a properly filled truck where gravity isn’t enough to contend with density and friction. The trick was to have a full hopper of material to push through with the body raised, in hopes it would help assist the discharge - you may notice this method used in this upload. Forgive the snail pace hydraulic motions, especially the body hoist... revving the engine barely makes a difference too, I just did it on the lift stage for the sake of entertainment. I always loved hearing the old Scania engine letting rip, so I included a short drive into the Auburn transfer station to begin the video. According to the weighbridge reading I had roughly 9t onboard.
