Nice! And right on time for the end of the boating season, so there'll be plenty of work for this beast right off the bat. (For the uninitiated, trucks of this type are very commonly used to lift boats out of the water for winter, and there's *plenty* of Marinas in the area so lots of work to be had.)
Very impressive to have almost 100% lifting around the truck. Where are the limitations? Front, rear corners? Thats a light truck for a big crane, in Finland that would be on 5 axles with empty weight almost 40ton.
It is built to be as light as possible, loading platform is just a couple of metal beams and aluminium plates. Stab testing showed about 90% at the front corners, otherwise 100% the rest of the circle.
First of, very, very nice truck. The Volvo FH is the best looking cab, IMO :) Couple of questions: Whats the weight of a brand new effer 2055 with subframe? What is your weight limit for the truck in Sweden? 32 tonnes? Do you still have space for chains in the middle of the bed? :) Thanks, cant wait to see more of it!
Thank you. 😊 The weight depends on type of subframe you choose. We chose the long one all the way to the rear stabilizers, hence no chance for a keel pocket in the middle. I am working on a solution in the rear though for the big hook, the chains and other stuff. Yes 32 tonnes...should have been 42. 😄
@@KnuckleboomsAndBikes Arhe, yes, makes sense. We had new rules in Denmark for this year. 4 axle trucks can now be 36 tonnes with the proper axle distance, and we can now have 5 axles, with a total weight of 42 tonnes. Very awesome. Now we just need the train weights to catch up :P
Hello, does the crane fold behind the cabin of the truck or do you have to drive with the crane on the bed? It is a very nice truck, i like that it's very clean.
Yes, the crane folds behind the cab if it needs to. 🙂 Thank you, we tried to keep it simple. Good worklighting and flashy warninglights but not a thousand small leds, that has no point...
Wow, plenty to get used to there, jumping from an older 2008 crane to a new one will have you wanting the leg sensors ripped out 😅 (unless it's been set up right?) Is your old truck still part of the company?
Nice truck 👍 Looking forward to see it in aktion 😊 maybe you can tell us about what kind of lifting equipment you use when you operate the crane and why you use it. Like strops and chains and so on.
Hi! Do you use a 360 camera and adjust the viewing angle in editing? It's really cool, looks like your own camera man following you :) Have you done a video on the set up you use? Thanks, and congrats on the new truck!
Thank you! Yes, I use an Insta360 X3 for most of the crane view shots and an Insta360 Go3 on my forehead when that is needed. Of course I can do a video about the cameras if there is interest. 😊
Always been more of a Volvo guy. Volvo also delivered faster and the guys installing the crane finds Volvo easier to work with, has something to do with the frame to the front stabilizers. Scania is nice but the Volvo seems a little more sophisticated. 😊
@@KnuckleboomsAndBikeswhat is you front and rear weight spilts in New Zealand we can only go 10800kg on front and 15000kg on rear in a 8x4 configuration with a max gross 26ton
Tackar!
You need to go back to driving school, who taught you hang over the steering wheel. If you were unfortunately to have a front wheel blowout you would be off the road before you'd realized what's happened. Good luck .
Djeez, lighten up dude. 😄 Truck was doing 50km/h and the sole purpose was for you guys to hear what I said. (Audio was somehow corrupted anyway though...) I have actually had a blowout on this exact truck at full speed, first axle right side. It is very maneagable with dual front axles albeit a bit exciting. 🙂
@colingreenfield8487 And you need to get a driving licence for internet... Only Karens draw their conclusions and judge people they don't know over a few second clip, lol.

Sweet Machine looking in from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks mate! Are there any big crane trucks in Ireland?

Vilket monster! Grattis! Kör själv en 95 tonnare HMF i Norge, ny prenumerant här :D
Trevligt, välkommen ombord! 😄
Happy working ❤

That is nice, same as Finland. Would have been much better with shorter wheelbase and five axles but for now it is what it is...
@KnuckleboomsAndBikes Yeah, we are starting to see more of those trucks, they are awesome. Is there any talks about new rules in Sweden?
Not yet as far as I know...
beautyfull truck

What are your axle weights? Do you need to have the crane over the deck to make it legal weight for transport?
It just manages 10 ton axle weight with folded crane and fly-jib so that works out. 👍
Wow, plenty to get used to there, jumping from an older 2008 crane to a new one will have you wanting the leg sensors ripped out 😅 (unless it's been set up right?)
Is your old truck still part of the company?
Yes, a lot of new things. Leg sensors are still in place but crane has been set up right. 😉
Yes, the old truck remains with a new operator.
❤❤❤
Nice truck 👍

Does it allow to "go over the limit" or it is smart enough not to allow any of it?
It stops when reaches 100% but you can still carry out all manuevers that decrease cylinder pressure and extensions in is always allowed.

Vilken bamse kran! Var i landet finns ni?
Japp, go big or go home! 😄
With 5th wheel ? Like the old SCANIA ?
No, unfortunately not. Too heavy. 🥴
How much does Effor 2055 cost?
I actually don't know, I am just the operator.
@KnuckleboomsAndBikes thanks
hoppas du når 1000 följare snart

10 ton non driven axle and 11,5 driven axle. 32 ton gross on most roads, 35 with my axle configuration on bigger Bk4 roads.
