What a sweet running MaGraw Edison Speed Queen. The old solenoid drive before the reversing motor era in the mid 1970’s came. My mothers 1969 set ran for 35 years under different ownership. She bought her second SQ set in 1980 before SQ was bought by Raytheon and it didn’t last nearly as long under poor water conditions that killed it in the early 90’s. I have the current TR series in my house.
Trump now going to ban regulations and make washers do deep fill and deep rinse like in 57 speed queen and so they fill up all the way to very very top
This vintage Speed Queen washers were excellent machines. You could really tell by the machines in laundromats. Most were Speed Queen and many ran nearly all the time non stop with little repair or maintenance.
Yep well now I definetely want one. Americans once knew how to make spectacular looking washing machines. Poor me I'm in the UK. Guess I'll have a whole Boeing 747 cargo plane full of vintage American washers on my way to England again!
I think it was around 1971 or so when they went to the reversing motor styled machines as tub brakes were legislated unless the machine had a locking lid feature like the top loading Westinghouse.
@@eddy1210 Do you still have the Maytag neptune? If so, I'd like to see a cotton/sturdy cycle with cold wash with a load of darks with detergent and softener and the door shut. It will make good ASMR.
Nice machine eddy. Did speed queen export these to Canada or has this model been imported by you or original owner,I’m just curious so you don’t have to answer. Enjoy this fantastic product.😊
@@eddy1210 wow I did not realize how big speed Queen 🤴 is. I have a new machine from them. Eddy your washer is every bit as. Good and possibly even better. Keep the video coming very enjoyable. Even relaxing with the right machines.
We had one just like this one when I was a kid. My mother absolutely loved it. I remember her sitting on a stool just watching it wash.

Chuck Connors used the tout the TOUGH Speed Queen stainless steel tub in the seventies, although I know this is much older.

Arctic Power was the Canadian brand for Cold Power.

What a beautiful machine!
Can you do more videos on your washer and dryer? What kind do you have? I'd like to see a full regular cycle with a full load on yours.
I remember seeing these at a laundromat in my area yrs ago! 😊 They worked really well. I’d rather own one again over todays junk
Now when I was a baby, I did remember seeing a vintage Speed Queen Washer in a laundromat before (a long time ago).

What a beautiful washing machine
I was wondering what year Speed Queen washers switched from counterclockwise spin to clockwise.
I think it was around 1971 or so when they went to the reversing motor styled machines as tub brakes were legislated unless the machine had a locking lid feature like the top loading Westinghouse.
That’s a good one there !
I love it but how does it drain
Spin-Drain, it spins the water by Centrifugal force over the outer-tub.
Centrifugal force over the outer tub.
That machine is built like a tank
This is awesome!
That’s a sweet looking vintage Speed Queen you have there Eddy.
What year is this one? 1964 is my guess.

Now that’s what you call Deep fill
You can’t beat a speed Queen
Where can i buy this machine off of someone?
Bonjour il a l'aire en super état sa doit être un model de 72 sa en tout cas belle bête
I love this washer. What cycle and options did you use?
I used a warm wash-cold rinse on the Normal Cycle. I set it for a Large fill which overflowed during the first minute of agitation.

Yes I do. I will try to film a load soon.
@@eddy1210 Sounds good.
@@eddy1210 I love hearing the neptune on cotton/sturdy tumbling in cold water with the door shut. I've used one once.
