I’ve “mulleted” my Remedy 9.8 (27”) one year ago: best decision ever. Almost same performance when going uphill but man, when goin’ downhill…😈 More stable, much better in rock gardens and roots and same spicy jumping. Better investment ever!

I had a mullet Remedy 9.8 too! Cracking bike that. I was also running a shortened DHX2 (I spun the body down in the lathe to take it from a 200x57mm to a 190x57mm) awesome setup!

Running a custom 96r for a long time. The untold benefit is the back wheel tucked up a bit for better traction and lower center of gravity . Rails better .

    Good day
I have just brought a 26" L full sus frame.
I want to build a mullet setup.
I was thinking of getting a 27.5" front fork, but after seeing that you managed to fit a 27.5" wheel on a 26" fork, is that the best front fork idea or whats your recommendation since you've ridden that setup for a while now?

@@bikeradar In the meantime, how would you describe the difference between a 79er mullet and a 67er mullet especially given similar suspension travel such as the Cannondale Habit and Enduro SX?

I´d absolutely love to mullet my current bike. I currently run a 2020 giant reign 29 and on paper with the calculations the geo in terms of reach, head angle and stack would be exactly what I love. So the only downside would be that the seattube angle would be at 75.4 and the BB height would be at 332.44. Seat angle would be fine like that, just not optimal. The BB at 332.44 would be the biggest downside. I had a downhiller with a 339 BB height before and it was problematic sometimes however I do run a bit shorter cranks on the giant so according to calculations it would be fine. Anyone have some advice or knowledge if it would work?
