I'd love you to try a modern full 29 enduro bike as a 26 lover, would be really interesting to hear you talk about the ride characteristics and what you like/don't like
Watching your videos this last year has really got the stoke going in me. On a whim I bought a used 2007 Giant Glory. My new trail bike is a large, but the Giant was a medium. It reminded me a lot of my old hard tail with the old geometry, compact platfrom, and 26" wheels. But I had an absolute blast up at Sun Peaks this year! DH and Hi-Octant really pushed my ability, but by closing day I was really starting to just trust my ability and the bike. ...but there's a limit to my older, out-of-shape body. LOL! Can't wait for next year!
yeah Jordan the maiden looks absolutely. stunning and I agree with you regarding. the Enduro bikes nowadays they’re just as good as DH but there is nothing like riding a DH on GNAR . At 15:14 to 15:24 Jordan found out what it’s like to be a DH racer for 10 seconds lol and at 16:22 instead of going around the The berm you can use it as a takeoff for a sketchy bike park gap
Hey Jordan, just a word of advise, if you going to ride so much rise on your bars I would get bars with more back sweep. The more back sweep you have the more control you'll have on corners. I used to run my bars with no back sweep and ever since I switched to bars with a lot of back sweep I've been a lot more comfortable in the air and on tech.
Personally my DH equips 29'' wheels front and rear (btw, my dh is a Cube TWO15 HPC SL). Since I've had it for not so long, I only had the opportunity to do one session with it. For the moment, the 29' does not bother me. but if I feel I need more maneuverability. I will replace the rear wheel for a 27.5.
Ive got a propain rage cf and its got loads of adjustment Standard its 27.5 front and back but right now its mullet after i stuffed a 29er in a 27.5 fork. And with the adjustment at the back i could get a 29er in there. But i might have to give 27.5/26 a go for party laps 🤘
Go full 27.5 or even 27.5 rear 29 front mullet setup on this bike. You have the Wilson for your 26" fix so more variety in wheel size will not only be better to mix up your riding but also just more variety for the viewers of the channel. I was a die hard 26 guy forever but tried a modern 29" Enduro bike last year and it was life changing.
I drove a 2014 Votec VE 160 Enduro with standard 26 inch but i drove it like a mullet 27,5 front 26 rear i loved it the even tho it was made for 26 i could actually squeeze a 27.5 by 2.3 in there without rubbing but i wouldnt let go of my 26 inch tire and ride it for Urban freeride and easy trails only in bikeparks i would ride the 27.5 in the rear i absolute loved that bike and still regret it that i swapped it for my specialized enduro carbon._.
I gave some thought to wrapping my daughters new bike to something with more pink. I feared the bubbles and imperfections, and as you said the effort and time. I glad I did not . But maybe I will do some parts just to give it a bit more 'spark'. what about 29 front, 26 rear? haha
I wasn't sold on the whole mullet thing, I ride a 27.5 Evil Insurgent in my local park Northstar. But on my Whistler trip this year I rented a SC V10 mullet and it was sick! I did 5 days on it and once I got used the bigger front I ended up being really confident in the tech. Original Sin rolls, Schleyer, etc. felt really nice. Did I want my Insurgent for the jump trails? Sure, but the mullet was pretty sweet.
I love how my mullet bikes perform ❤️ But as you may guess i ride 29/27.5 😉 If you have the chance try Formula Cura 4 brakes with 220mm rotors up front and 200mm rear. I was very impressed of the performance on long, steep descents.
I really dislike the 29er feel, but getting a 29er frame and putting on a 27 fork and wheel allows you to overfork 4cm without changing geometry. you can basically do the same with the rear on some sizes, and my Orbea Rise that originally was a 140/140 trail bike is now a 180/160 freeride bike with basically the same geometry as before.
Well, I reckon you should definiately try a regular mullet, 29” mixed with 27,5”. I ride a Canyon Sender for two years now, and dude it feels soo good 🤩 agile enought for jump lines, but also incredibly fast on tech ⚡️
Next time try using a spray wrap like Superwrap. Yeah it's not as durable as a traditional wrap but you literally just spray it on and watch it dry. With so many colors I'm surprised why it's not more popular with mountain bikes. I mean if you get bored of the color just rip it off and spray on a new color!
I ride a 29er/26er mullet. 2004 Yeti AS-X. 170mm travel front and rear. I rode the whole season at Mountain Creek Bike Park in New Jersey. It's awesome at steep tech. Not great at high speed berms and wall rides. Awful at jumps. Very short wheel base.
@@vikingo4877 well to be honest summer has been extended by at least a month here! it's still warm in mid october where I am, hasn't rained anything substantial in 3 months which is very out of the ordinary!
I don’t know I think the bars ruin the bill with the blue. I prefer the old bike everything flowed nicely. Could of just swapped the orange with black or even a foil wrap matched to the bars
This sort or riding way beyond my level of skills or bikes that i own whit i am full time xc hardtail rider i would say full 29er setup is the best it rolls everything most of the time it works fine in the tech sections and twisty stuff i am 178 high i can ride both a large and medium i could ride 27.5 mtb also but prefur 29er these days.
What the people really want, is the ultimate mullet: 29"/26".
I was just going to say the same thing.
How about 29 / 14
Obvio bobis
I built one
You should be a politician
Man, love the wrap! So sick looking! Thanks for showing us your bike! It's always great to see another mountain bike enthusiast!
Definitely feeling the blue over the green/black and orange bits.
I'd love you to try a modern full 29 enduro bike as a 26 lover, would be really interesting to hear you talk about the ride characteristics and what you like/don't like
2013 knolly chilcotin 170mm 27,5" front 26" in the back, and mullet in the head🤝😎🤘
I have a 2020 specialized status in a 29 and 27.5 mullet setup and could not be happier! I just wish I got a smaller frame to throw around.

I think the maiden will be faster. Tho I'm rooting for the boostmonster
I ride a truax and i was inspired to buy it from watching your old vids keep on making them I really love them!
I,m only 5'7" and the mullet setup, 27.5/29, on my medium size 2019 Intense Tazer is just perfect - love it!
15:16 Hah! It was fun how one after another surprises come up :D
The bike looks badass. Thank's for keeping the 26 alive!
The Maiden looks sweeeeet in that blue, mate. Stoked to see the Boostmonster comparison video.
Cheers!
I might be getting my first full suspension mountain bike I'm so excited
I love mullet bikes, I did the same for my norco aurum 2 and feels really amazing, fox 40 in the front is a monster
Run cush core in the rear would 100% help with the dings
I have since put in tannus armour in the rear

Very nice color Jordan!
I love my mullet setup i run a 29 and 27.5 and i can really tell a difference!
Finally it’s back!!!
Awesome, what wrap did you use?😮
I am riding a rocky mountain instinct currently but I am dreaming for a maiden
I still prefer 29 front and back. Awesome work on the wrap, I can imagine a it was a LOT of work
Love it bro
Oldschool 26" DHer and I'm building a 27.5x26 from my old frame. That boostmonster brings back the good old vibes 🤙
I personally think the green looks a lot better but glad you were able to set your mind to something and do it
the blue looks nice w the handlebars
Nice. Sun Peaks is awesome.
when wrapping anything heat is your friend so you should of used a heat gun so it wraps a lot easier around funny bends without creases .
Had back in the day a specialized status mullet 27,5-26 and was sick ! Personally don’t like 29ers either, to big and much easy to flex
Amazing content as usual dude 🙏
thanks!
11:44 he has a Marzocchi Shiver
yes I do :) you'll see it on a special bike soon enough
What a cool bike, actually you gave me the idea to restore my old dh bike. Trek Session 10, I'm thinking also 27,5/26 mullet.
Mountain biking in general 👍👌
I think 27.5 front back like you said on that bike would b so good
I liked the green but I love the blue, looks awesome👍
Wish I could find a maiden somewhere for a decent price
Your bike looks amazing, you did a great job
thanks!
queb locasa la pista fina
Amazing video! Keep it up!
Always psyched when I see you post! Keep up the awesome content!
The bike looks great. You did great. After watching I don't think I will ever do that.
I have a 01 trek diesel dh that I'd like to go mullet on 26 27.5 but as of now it's just a bare frame I'll get it back going eventually lol
I think the Maiden will be faster but the Boostmonster will soak up the rough stuff better. Plus Boostmonater will look bad ass on the trails
That is the Best selfmade wrap ive ever seen, it looks like it was professionally painted

I just bought a decked out 2019 maiden from BC. It's in the mail to me right now 😁
the canadian leaf looked good you should put it over the blue
ya that's probably true!
You're maiden looks SICK
Coincidentally, I just went through the same issue with my headset. Was driving me nuts until I tried a slightly different spacer stack.
Ive got a propain rage cf and its got loads of adjustment
Standard its 27.5 front and back but right now its mullet after i stuffed a 29er in a 27.5 fork. And with the adjustment at the back i could get a 29er in there. But i might have to give 27.5/26 a go for party laps 🤘
So funny when you guys punch yr hands with that sound. Love it.
Can you talk more in depth for 27 26 mullet style please
It's seems like it's fine and worth but I wanna hear your thoughts

yeah, that's what I would do to.
ya I can agree, I do have my wilson for the 26" so I may be very happy with a full 27.5 Maiden

Nice wrap job 👌
thank you!
I would love to see a single speed conversion since it's a down hill bike climbing is not critical
Had that same steering tube issue as well, just needed a extra spacer
what is the squeaking sound on compression?
How did you "fix" the dinged rim so good? Need to try it on my rear wheel when I do the winter-service!
just took a wrench to bend it back haha
Jordan you should go ride daplow
Jordan my mom and dad are out for a few days I will claim my prize when they get back that will bd like 3 days thanks
I gave some thought to wrapping my daughters new bike to something with more pink. I feared the bubbles and imperfections, and as you said the effort and time. I glad I did not . But maybe I will do some parts just to give it a bit more 'spark'.

I use the cura 4 and they are great!
Whistler is so fun . But when I went I was on my diamond back carbon synced and could feel every bump

You should make it a 26/29
On analog bikes I run 29/29 on ebikes I run mullet. I don't jump Ike you, so it fits my riding style.
I also have a 26/27.5 mullet enduro bike that i've custom built ;))
The Wrap looks sick 🤘🏽 is there a specific technique on how you did it or did u just go for it?
love the look of the wrap! but why is the suspension so loud!!
I know haha, it's the air fork, these ones do that, kinda annoying lol
Well, I reckon you should definiately try a regular mullet, 29” mixed with 27,5”. I ride a Canyon Sender for two years now, and dude it feels soo good 🤩 agile enought for jump lines, but also incredibly fast on tech ⚡️
BRO YOU SHOULD TRY THE 3 skull DOWNHILL TRAIL IN THE PHILIPPINES TAGAYTAY
That is one sexy bike

wow I never heard of that actually! sounds cool
lovely:)
Where is this bike park dude?😊that looks awesome 🤙
That looks fucking sick i want one so bad 😫
The bike looks sick but you should color match the fork too. Otherwise its really good
Did anyone see that intend fork i wonder what that has to say
nooo, you removed the leaf from your frame, the blue looks good, but the leaf, if you can keep it, it would be perfect
Have you ever been told you sound like Brad Hall hahahaha
29 is too big??? how tall are you?
5'10
I'm 5'9, converted my 27.5 to 29/27.5 mullet and prefer it way more 🤷♂️
I ride a 29er/26er mullet. 2004 Yeti AS-X. 170mm travel front and rear. I rode the whole season at Mountain Creek Bike Park in New Jersey. It's awesome at steep tech. Not great at high speed berms and wall rides. Awful at jumps. Very short wheel base.
I'm so confused by the "this season".
Isn't season over?
lol good question, this was filmed in July, but the season is almost over now, but I did ride it lots more!
@@JordanBoostmaster buff thanks for the answer I was about to jump on a plane to Canada
@@vikingo4877 well to be honest summer has been extended by at least a month here! it's still warm in mid october where I am, hasn't rained anything substantial in 3 months which is very out of the ordinary!
what happened to the your trails at the land you had bro?
still being worked on! But it's so dry out here!
I ride a SC Bronson MULLET
🤟
11:19 It's crazy how flat this looks on camera.
ya haha!
Damn, Jordan Boostmaster with the big boy cursing😅
When you say this year... You mean 23?
Or maybe the wrapping footage is from much earlier this year
I did mean 2022, this was all done in July, so there is at least some time to ride it yet!
@@JordanBoostmaster I didn't catch it was July. Makes sense!
I was thinking to myself... It's October and starting to get cold and dark!
"I don't remember how this goes." Bike don't care. Just send it.
Наконец-то нормальный маллет.
Не то что эти там 29е)
Vinyl wrapping is much easier with a hair dryer or heat gun :)
Boost master is sick but the maiden will be faster
Shimano xtr for 300€ worth ?
I don’t know I think the bars ruin the bill with the blue. I prefer the old bike everything flowed nicely. Could of just swapped the orange with black or even a foil wrap matched to the bars
im over front shocks being all look at me colours...
Maiden will be faster. Smaller more maneuverable.
