Dude GREAT IDEA for a video!!! I was delighted to see so many Booktubers that I’ve already subscribed to showing up here, and was able to check out every channel featured in this video (and have now subscribed to 12 new channels, lol). So excited to have new content to explore, thanks for putting this video together!
Thank you for inviting me to participate once again in this agonizing annual ritual, Johan! Picking a favorite book of the year (so far) is never easy, but it's fun to see everyone else's picks!
was about to comment the same im so happy to see it and to have read it myself! from may to june I read every single book and novella from christopher ruocchio genius mind
I absolutely adore the diversity in these collabs! Lots of reading preferences are represented and I got lots of great recs! I can’t wait to check out some of these channels
I was expecting like a top 5 of _new_ books as voted on by a bunch of booktubers. Getting a list of 20 books (some of which are very much _not_ new) from 20 creators (many of whom I've not seen before) was a very pleasant surprise. I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately, but I think I need to look into a bunch of these. Also, wow, two recommendations for _A Song for Arbonne_ is even more unexpected. It's one of my favorites from GG Kay.
Thank you so much for including me in this video alongside these fantastic booktubers!! Many that I love already and some new to me booktubers as well. So lovely to see a mention of Kindred here, one of my all time faves! And I know I need to read robin hobb, a botanical daughter and dark matter for sure. Going to be reading the reformatory in a few months as well.
Im always so happy when you come out with these videos!!! Not only do we get a new ideas for books to read but we also get an amazing list of booktubers to check out!
Johan you are the best! As a huge fan and long-time viewer, it means a lot that you included me and so many other small Booktubers. Thanks for introducing us to so many other great channels and great books!
I had a pretty cool high school English teacher (if you think nerdy stuff is cool) and she had me read Hyperion alongside The Canterbury Tales and write a comparison between the two (for extra credit) I attribute my love for sff books to her RIP Ms. Albert. My favorite book so far is actually a scifi novella, Calypso by Oliver K Langmead. A space colonization story about giving humanity a fresh start
I’ve found some new channels to check out! As a newbie to the booktube space I appreciate being included. Thank you for bringing such a diverse group of folks together! 🤗
Great concept for a video! Just gotten into reading this year and been watching a lot of these guys including you for recommendations! I’ve got Howling Dark waiting for me at home and have been looking for Hyperion for a while!
Red Fury Books is someone I can now subscribe to. The Given Day is a book I pulled at random and started reading at the library, and I fell through the page during the first, uncannily vivid scene. The whole series is outstanding.
I'm new to your channel but already enjoying so much of your content. Love seeing so many great booktubers and books featured on this - some that I already know and love and many others that I'll be adding lickity-split.
Excellent collab video. Was actually trying to convince my algorithm to actually show me more than just sprints from all the booktubers I hang out with online all the time, and apparently it is including corners of booktube it has never yet shown me. Craziness,
Some interesting books there, A Botanica Daughter sounds particularly intriguing. I have the Ember Blade in my kindle library, sounds like I should get to reading it.
Just finished this phenomenal collection of fairy tales entitled 'Sillies, Fancies, and Trifles' - highly recommend to go along with the books here and its perfect for the season. Keep up the beautiful vids :)
Such a great idea for a video! As a newbie Booktuber myself I am desperate to get to know more readers on this platform so thank you for highlighting so many great accounts!
My favorite book of the year so far is not a fantasy or sci-fi. Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. In spite of the chapter digressions on street slang, Paris sewers, and Waterloo.
Not counting re-reads, my favorite book of 2024 so far is Persepliquis by Michael J. Sullivan. I really enjoyed The Riyria Revelations and Persepliquis wrapped the series up perfectly.
The Best Books so far in 2024 for me, are «A Brightness Long Ago» by Guy Gavriel Kay (Fantasy inspired by the Mercenary Wars of Renaissance Italy) & «Imperium» by Robert Harris (Cicero Trilogy #1, Historical Fiction about the Eponymous Roman Politician)!
Hi! I already read a lot of books, and in my opinion my written novel is considered the no.1 for me or it is alongside the Iliad and Odyssey by Homer, the best ever. It took me almost 5 years to finish it. Perhaps the flow or execution are not in the best form but the story or the novel itself, I made it wonderful, it came from my dreams and thoughts. The story is about WW2, the greatest conflict of human history that claimed 60-70 Million lives, the US population at that time was 132 M and the Archangel by which the God almighty has been with him since the beginning, where he also knows the past and the future. So he has prepared for what will happen by sending the two archangels in the presence of human flesh. This novel is my gift to humankind, for the preservation of everlasting peace.
I read two pillars that could be foundational fantasy: Abercrombie’s Age of Madness & Hobb’s Liveship Traders, wow is there anything better than these two series?
I feel like I was the only one who hated the Christopher Ruocchio books. Some of the other recommendations are great. Shall be following some new to me creators
Not the biggest span of genres in this rundown. Mostly hard fantasy/sci fi books which I guess is your audience which is a shame as it’s not really my thing and I stumbled across this video.
Thank you to all the amazing booktubers that were willing to join this collaboration! Please go and give all of them a subscribe (link in description!)!

Spin of Fate!!! Yessss❤
The only problem with watching other book tube channels is that it only increases the tbr! Happy reading.
Wow, JCM Berne was on a local BookTube Livestream.
Hyperion! Truly a fantastic book and a very good series!

There’s a book tuber called Anda Kent I follow on TH-cam would love to see her involved in these videos too
Loved seeing Willow on here - one of my fav booktubers
Me too! I like how she reads a wide breadth of genres
I like people that can't choose one......
My favorite book of the year so far is a tie between The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson and King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence.
I feel like I was the only one who hated the Christopher Ruocchio books. Some of the other recommendations are great. Shall be following some new to me creators
I wasn’t a huge fan of them either. Read through book 3 and can’t remember much of them.
Robin Hobb over R.Scott. Bakker. O'REALLY?!
Omg why no one is talking about Hyperion??? That’s one of my favourite series of all time even though I’m definitely not a fan of a sci fi genre
What was Stephanie’s recommendation?
Ok, I'll read sun eater, i guess
Not the biggest span of genres in this rundown. Mostly hard fantasy/sci fi books which I guess is your audience which is a shame as it’s not really my thing and I stumbled across this video.

9:04 why did you included him?
Get over it
What a weird part of youtube.
Christ is no one reading classic literature anymore?
