  • Glen Phillips is believed to have played "Golden Age" for the first time at Zoey's Cafe in Ventura, CA on December 10th, 2010. Like he has done with many songs, Phillips honed the lyrics for "Golden Age" until a final version was recorded for Toad the Wet Sprocket's 2013 release New Constellation. Among those earliest versions of "Golden Age" is this performance. It was recorded at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, CA on January 25th, 2011 during a Works Progress Administration show. While Glen was joined that night by Sean Watkins, Sebastian Steinberg, and Jerry Roe on many songs, he played "Golden Age" solo that evening. It was recorded by Jeff Lester using the following equipment:
    Video: Kodak Playsport
Audio: HEB DPA4061 into Edirol R-09HR
