I work at Goodwill in LaPorte, IN and I love watching your videos. They are very informative and the detail you go into with the pieces help me to recognize products that come threw the store. Thank you Michelle:)
Nice finds and nice prices! I have that exact hen on nest. It is one if the first pieces I ever owned(from my grandmother). Looking forward to your milk glass video. It's been extremely hot here the last few days....summer came late! Really strange to be so warm near the end of September. Hope things are getting back to normal for you two.
Hi Lorna....Its nice to find out that others have some of the pieces I have in my video....Its always hot here in FL!! Things are getting back to normal...just sooo much clean up to do!!! xox Michelle :)
Hi there! Is the star pattern on the bottom of the anchor hocking pieces unique to anchor hocking? I’m new to identifying glassware and I’m trying to find a good method. So far, Anchor hocking ruby red is my favorite! Found a complete punch bowl set for $11!
Hello, Miss Michelle! You must have had so much fun with your haul since you will be making three videos! What a score!! Since you mentioned it in your video....Continental means the European continent excluding the United Kingdom and Ireland. People generally say that an item is continental if they aren't sure from what country in Europe that an item originates e.g. France, Germany, Austria etc... That ruby red is so pretty. My grandmother had a collection too!
Thanks D...thought it might mean that, people say so many things on Ebay you have to take it all with a grain of salt lol...I appreciate your insight and to tell ya the truth I was hoping that you would leave a comment about it as you know more about that stuff then I do....We always have things in common, now we have our grandmothers collection too! Found some amazing pyrex yesterday which I will put in next video also. Hope all is well xoxox Michelle :)
Yippee for Pyrex. I can't wait to see what you found. Will you be adding it to your collection or selling? (I found one piece of Early American Pyrex on Friday.)
Beautiful finds as always. I love the glasses at the end, just gorgeous. And the depression glass is beautiful too. Thanks for sharing with us Michelle xox
Loved everything you found! People in Iowa really love their John Deere collectibles. I just came in to take a break from cleaning our garage in this SIZZLING weather, and I saw you had new video, so I extended my break to watch it. Will share this one on my Facebook page because you are so knowledgeable and worthy of many subscribers! Love from Iowa, home of corn 🌽🌽, piggies 🐖🐖, and (in our garden) MANY cucumbers 🥒🥒, ~ Lori Parrish Niemi ~
I love the stuff you find the stacked cube glasses and the chip bowl are nice I think the hen could be used to keep hard boiled eggs warm before serving anyway looking forward to the next video.
I picked up the big, clear Soreno chip bowl about 2 months ago for $1.50; haven't seen one like it anywhere until your find. I really love that pattern along with the Lido Milano.
Hi Barbara...Glad to bring back good memories for you :) and yes, it is costly to ship, that's why I try to keep away from heavy items, but when I only paid $1.50 for it I can sell it fairly cheap xo Michelle
I love how humble you are with showing us your outtakes. I'll say it again: thank you for teaching us in the very thorough manner you do. Your videos are up there along with Dr. Lori's as the ones I learn the most from. I do have a question: I was in a consignment shop and two sellers had jadite marked on their price tags but how can I tell they really were jadite without having a blacklight to test them? THANK you!
you must have meant uranium....buy a portable blacklight..they fit in your bag and are great to have! Sometimes you can get in idea if its uranium by holding it next to something black....sometimes you can almost see it glowing that way
@@thrifting101...identifybuy3 Thank you so much for your follow-up to your first reply. I got jadite & uranium mixed-up. I am new, and it shows! Appreciate your time for me.
So glad you're doing well and you made it through. I've been out of commission for a while had some surgery but I'm back. When I heard about the storm I definitely thought about you said a quick prayer for you and yours. And it's good to see you're okay! Luv yah💕
Hey Michelle! I have a fridge bottle that looks a lot like that clear bowl at the end of your video. Did Anchor Hocking make such a thing? It has a turquoise plastic lid with a spout, and it is totally unmarked. Any thoughts?
I noticed this video kid year old AFTER I watched... lol! 🤣 But that’s okay. I still learned the brand names and selling values of your items. This is my 1st time here, and I loved watching. I subscribed, and will be back for sure! See you then! 😊
Hi Jan....thank you very much....Cameraman said Hey we don't have any outtake today and I said well, I haven't done my ending yet....there is always that possibility that I will goof up!!!!! xoxo Michelle
Can those Indiana Glass Company glasses be put into the dishwasher? I’m thinking not but just wondering. I found three and am keeping them. They are gorgeous!
Interesting info. How do you get these to your car without breaking them? I use an ikea bag when I thrift. These would be crushed. Do they give you a box when you buy them? What about at garage sales?
I always have boxes in my car...somethings they pack in very cool bags and I don't get to as many garage sales as I would like!! I have to work on that!! xo
thanks Michelle...one I received from my cousins bridal shower, and one came from a bag of goodies I bought in a New York State Goodwill. I just fell out off the bag and I went back and told the cashiers there to let me know if anyone came in to claim it...no one did and it is my favorite now!
Hey Michelle love your videos. Can you share information on how to clean China? I have a few pieces that I would say are tea stained. Everything I read online reads to clean with salt and vinegar. Do you know another way?
Hi Patty, I don't know much about cleaning china but I think that when my tube of Peek comes in I will see if it will work on china too. I usually try to use a tiny bit of bleach and salt and try to soak out the tea stain, sometimes good sometimes doesn't work...Michelle :)
I see that you have some green vases that my mother had when I was a child. I found 2 pieces at Sally-Ann but I'm looking for more. Would you be willing to sell some of what you have.
I'm not sure of their make. Mine have nothing on them to say who made them. I believe I saw a large vase on your mantel or there about. They are a dark bottle green, although I do have one vase that is a lighter green.
Hi, I found the one I was looking for thanks a lot. It was number 3 I think of one about the pyrex dishes. Thanks for all the information you give it's really fun. I grew up in Staffordshire England so have a good eye for china. I love your videos!
Glad you found it Lynn..you might notice that I have changed my pronunciation of Staffordshire after some friends from UK corrected me :) Hope you are enjoying the videos and I am so glad you found me and love to hear from you xo Michelle
lol I don't care how you pronounce it! I'm learning so much, just for fun! I can't believe all the stuff you find that is worth money. There is so much of it here. I will never look at these items the same way lol!
You said the light blue are Indiana glas are you are right on but the other three you said are American Fostoria ,sorry but no Fostoria did not make them in those colors ,they are Colony Whitehall a sub of Indiana glass and were made after 1984 after Indiana glass bought Fostorias Molds.
