I like that you are straight to the "description & value" of your items in your video without too much jibber-jabbering like others on TH-cam! Thank you for that!!!
Wow...You inspired us to see what treasures may be waiting to be discovered at our local thrift stores. We really love how you describe everything in such detail. We are so glad that Tracey Highlighted your channel. We just subbed to you.It will be fun getting caught up on your older videos. We wish you a Beautifully Blessed rest of your week
I just found your channel and am loving it. I am a new seller on EBay and this is the kind of items I love to shop for - but I do have a tendency to keep too many of them. so to find an experienced shopper with the knowledge you have is like Christmas morning! Thank you so much.
Awe...Thanks Bailey...Welcome aboard and thanks for commenting..I love to hear from people!!! You and I have something in common.....I also have a tendency to keep too many of em!!! Good luck with Ebay and don't be a stranger!! :) Michelle xo
Michelle congratulations on hitting over 1,000 subscribers!! Love you and your hauls. Wish I could make a trip to your area and thrift with you. It would be a hoot!! Pamela
Isn't it wonderful to make something old, into something new. To buy and sell at prices that are a win win for you and your customers. I have been picking for at least thirty years. It's a happy place. I know that you know what I mean. Treasures dwell on dusty shelves.
Congratulations!! You reacheI 1000! That is amazing!! I am so happy more people have found your channel. I know I like it:) You found some great pieces and I don't know why I am drawn to the cornflower corning ware. $1.50?? That is a steal! I have my Mom's and love it. I love your outtakes!! And it whistles.....cracked me up!!
Hi Janet...Thank you so much...I have met so many great people thru TH-cam...like you! :)....I have so much cornflower blue...4 casseroles, a coffee pot and some very tiny casserole covered pieces that I have kept for myself.. lately I find them where ever I go but $1.50 was a great find for sure!!!!.I love small things lol...xox Thanks so much for watching and being my friend xox Michelle
Congratulations!!! I am always amazed with the awesome stuff that you find! and the prices... can't believe it, I live in California and I can't find anything for 25c anymore, no even a dollar, some times I found stuff that the dollar stores sell, and the price at the Goodwill it is $1,99 alredy use. ridiculous!! Goodwill it's not what use to be... I love your chanel!!
Thank you so much Patricia...I'm with ya on goodwill...hard to find good inexpensive stuff there...I think they check on ebay and then price items. And your right...Ive seen stuff that they have cheaper in the dollar store too! Yard sales and non profit thrift stores are they way to go...its the seek and search and thrill of the hunt for me...:) Michelle
Love, Love it! I'm finding that I'm enjoying your videos so much, that when they end, I'm sad, but then I'm glad I can see another one of your treasures to watch!!
How do you package your multiple piece listings when they sell? I used to wrap each piece in layers of newspaper and bubble wrap, tape all of the pieces together so they would not bump into each other and then give at least two inches of padding between my taped grouping and the inside of the shipping box. Many times, I would also double box if the items were uncommon and expensive.
Great haul! I don't see a much milk glass down here in Tennessee. Either there isn't as much or someone has beat me to it. Thinking about collecting some. I do like to sell and plan on getting some things listed to help out me youngest through college. It's a lot of fun seeing what is out there. Enjoyed your video! Leslye
Thanks Leslye.......When I was in the Smokey Mtns. last year I didn't find too much milk glass either...only in the vintage stores! TFW and it is fun to see what people thrift for! xo Michelle :)
Oh and an update on the Ruby Red Charm!! My daughter came by the other day and I was starting to get the pictures taken to list it and she fell in love with the set and I happily gave it all to her. She was thrilled. LOL.
I just love watching your videos. Thanks to you I am learning about milk glass, and appreciation for things vintage. I wish there are nice thrift stores here in the Philippines, and that the EBAY market was a little better, so we, too, can enjoy those nice pieces. But thanks to YT, I can enjoy vicariously:-) Planning a trip to Florida later in the year, and maybe I can force my brother to accompany me to try thrift-shopping. Keep up the good work:-)
Hi Ladies...I ship thru the Global Program on Ebay...doesn't cost anymore then usual...It ships to an international hub in US then out to the world!!! :) Michelle
I’ve been looking for four tumblers in milk glass, and found the same ones you showed. These tumblers are a more solid white than the translucent. Can you tell me what year do you think? Where do I look online, Michelle, to find the value of a piece? Thank you for you time in putting these together! It would be fun to go with you thrifting !
Hi Kristina...that video was awhile ago..so I will have to go back and check! Better yet, send a pic of them to my email michellekidney58@gmail.com and I can help you with that. First you have to know who the maker is. If you know who the maker is, if they are the ones in the video...and I don't remember offhand which ones, go to replacements.com and look em up, the sometimes have the date of production, but please just send me a pic and I will let you know :) xo Come on down and thrift with me anytime!
Hi Michelle love watching your videos. We have very similar tastes! I love vintage treasures. I live in Melbourne Florida and have been thrifting and reselling for years. Been up and down Brevard county and east coast and some places in Kissimmee. Never heard of the abc store. Is it new? In Brevard county? Always looking for new places to sh for treasures!! Thx. Lisa
Hi Lisa, thank you...The store is not new as far as I know I have been down here for a little over a year...We should do some thrifting together!!! xo Michelle
I'm glad I found you.. love your things. I am trying to learn all about antique and.vintage glassware and China. Ots very hard. So much to learn. We will not keep our stuff, trying to sell it all on ebay soon as I get my boxes and shipping stuff. I know we have lots and lots of fosteria, only because it says on the boxes they are kept in. But there are china cabinets that have some in I have no clue about. And all the markings on china or ceramics. I dont want to sell something I def should keep or mark for more and. It give away. Nkt to be greedy. But I'd like to sell to people who love their stuff like u do. Thank you for sharing
I just found your channel and it's great and I'm wondering why you don't do your shopping live and then vlog all of this and you can be making a profit off of that. Also! It'd be really interesting to see the process you go through when you're shopping and the different stores, and I know you can get filming rights to most of these kinds of stores.
Wow you said you had achieved a thousand subscribers and this was back in 2017 but now it's super while because I think you're just around less than 20000 to have a hundred thousand viewers congratulations! This showed up on my news feed today
Congrats on 1,000 subs. I'm trying to get there too. That red tea kettle is really cool. I'm crossing my fingers the MCM tea kettle whistles so you get more money for it ☺.
I was wondering how you did it so I could learn how to do it myself as well. I currently have a few items that I have no clue how to identify the maker. I do not see any
ahhh good question. If it does not have a mark and I cant identify it...lots of stuff are not marked...that is when the intensive research begins. Hi Super Annie...I used flate rate boxes..that way you know exactly what the shipping costs are and you can pack the heck out of them..but I agree selling glassware can be a pain xo
Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware wow that surprises me. I often see antique lamps at the thrift store but’s always pass because of shipping costs. I guess I’ll have to give lamps a try.
Loved your video. I never see things so cheap in our thrift stores. Goodwill almost never has anything because they hold the good stuff back for their huge online stores and auctions. Salvation Army is way better. Prices get too high really easily though.
Thank you so much Judy!! Where are you? I agree that Goodwill is generally overpriced that's I why I love to find things that they don't mark up...I will there were more salvation army stores around here...I find the non profit thrift stores are much better and I usually wait till there is a sale xo Michelle
I have a 4 shelf built in in my kitchen...was actually one of the reasons I bought the house lol...you can see it in a few of my vidoes...I keep most of my milk glass collection on it :) Michelle...What do you collect?
i enjoy seeing your finds, but the reason i watch this and probably everyone else does too, is not just finding out how much you've paid for something, it's how much the items are actually worth and of course their age and brand or history. We know you're getting a good price. we want to know about it and what the actual value is. just saying
I mostly have buyer pay shipping, but I sometimes offer free ship with a flate rate price...that way I know what the shipping cost will be, as flate rate is one price...doesn't change...thanks for asking Terry xo :)
Vintage is the way to go with goodwill they toss most of it but they dont know shut about vintage items and just pass it off as dated junk to make way for the consumer repurposed trash
I took donations worst and lowest paying job ive had yet employees cant buy anything but junk food leftover from target because of people pricing the free stuff for themselves in the past the donations come back to back in loads mostly and you just get to sift through it and see them take all the good stuff out for online sales and what their not sure of or if its usable crap it goes in the store crappy business altogether they pay to say their non profit
I like that you are straight to the "description & value" of your items in your video without too much jibber-jabbering like others on TH-cam! Thank you for that!!!
Thanks Kimi....I try not to bore lol xo :)

Yes we have similar ways of packing! I just did a packing video that I was asked to do from a bunch of people..... Michelle

do you have any videos teaching people how to identify glass and how you identify glass?
Hi Tony..I have done a few on china. In my videos I try to show the maker mark and tell what it is worth on both replacements and Ebay :) Michelle
I was wondering how you did it so I could learn how to do it myself as well. I currently have a few items that I have no clue how to identify the maker. I do not see any
makers marks.
so I guess my question is how do you identify something with no makers mark and why do some companys use them and some don't.
ahhh good question. If it does not have a mark and I cant identify it...lots of stuff are not marked...that is when the intensive research begins. Why some companies do not use logos I cant tell you...sometimes there might have been a sticker on the bottom that is no longer there. What I do then is first try to find someone selling it on Ebay...then I go to replacements.com to verify, or sometimes I just go to replacements and search, search, search...but I never give up :) Michelle
Where do you start researching?
Loretta Brail on the internet...I usually start on replacements.com then just move on from there...no real rhyme or reason to my research 🙂
I love my Wexford - even though it is not that old.
Wexford although not so old..but they did start making it in the 60's is so easy to find around here...My collection has over grown! :) Michelle
When I realized I was not getting responses to my comments (not this one) that I had accidently turned off that choice. All fixed now (obviously). One of your previous posts (I went back and watched them all after I found your channel) you showed a plate and said that it was Virginia Rose. I have a set of Virginia Rose like my grandmother had. Did you know that the term Virginia Rose applies to the shape of the plates and not the actual design? You probably do. Mine has pink roses all over them.
I'm glad you can now leave me messages on all my videos... I love feedback and comments and ALWAYS respond :) The Virginia Rose plates are lovely and thanks for sharing your story, I sure not a lot of people knew that! Keep sharing :) xo Michelle
:)
Nice haul I love and have lots of different vintage pieces just moved so to many lol our thrift stores have gone sky high in jasper al
Thanks Susie..its not easy finding bargains!❤🙂
Where do you do research on your dishes?
I start with replacements.com and go from there. I usually do an extensive research thru the internet. I should probably get some books! :) Michelle
Great Finds! I am a new subscriber.. looking forward to all of your videos!! I love vintage and I also sell on Ebay. :o)
Thanks so much Denise!! I will look you up on Ebay xo :) Michelle
Warm congratulations on 1,000 Subscribers!!
TY :)
I am so happy for you! 1000 subscribers is a big deal!
Thank you so much....It is! And I'm humbled and amazed by the response I get from such wonder people such as yourself...This channel is something I thought about doing for awhile..and I'm so glad I did...I have meet some really great people and love the TH-cam community..and ofcourse your awesome videos as well xo :) Michelle
.
How do u make money by selling glassware when packing can be so expensive?! That's where I lose money. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thxs!
Hi Super Annie...I used flate rate boxes..that way you know exactly what the shipping costs are and you can pack the heck out of them..but I agree selling glassware can be a pain xo
Do you do auction or buy it now on eBay? Do you often have to re-list items?
Hi Mike. I prefer buy it now over auctions. Yes sometimes it has taken up to a year to sell certain items :).💖
Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware what kind of items sell the quickest for you?
I would have to say fairy lamps!!! They sell immediately
Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware wow that surprises me. I often see antique lamps at the thrift store but’s always pass because of shipping costs. I guess I’ll have to give lamps a try.
Are those items really milk glass or just white glass? I've heard most white glass is not milk glass. Is that true?
That's Fenton Elizabeth...its real milk glass! :)
There are companies such as mosser for one, that makes beautiful repro vintage and they make items in white glass that are not milk glass.
Loved your video. I never see things so cheap in our thrift stores. Goodwill almost never has anything because they hold the good stuff back for their huge online stores and auctions. Salvation Army is way better. Prices get too high really easily though.
Thank you so much Judy!! Where are you? I agree that Goodwill is generally overpriced that's I why I love to find things that they don't mark up...I will there were more salvation army stores around here...I find the non profit thrift stores are much better and I usually wait till there is a sale xo Michelle
hi when are you going to do a tour of your kitchen ?😊
when I clean my kitchen lol...thanks for asking :) Michelle...p.s. I don't have a very large kitchen :(
i love small spaces i have one 😆and i have little shelf for my collection of dishes it's amazing 😙
I have a 4 shelf built in in my kitchen...was actually one of the reasons I bought the house lol...you can see it in a few of my vidoes...I keep most of my milk glass collection on it :) Michelle...What do you collect?
Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware milk glas, antique tea cups ,tea pots ,silver dishes , and I adore making shabby chic decorations ☺
I also collect tea cups! would love to see pics of your collections xo Michelle
Where do u sell your things
mostly on ebay...but I am gonna start selling locally...so if you are in my area and want to buy...message me!
What is your eBay store. Link please
i enjoy seeing your finds, but the reason i watch this and probably everyone else does too, is not just finding out how much you've paid for something, it's how much the items are actually worth and of course their age and brand or history. We know you're getting a good price. we want to know about it and what the actual value is. just saying
Hi Lisa...I believe I always state that fact..I do a lot of research as to what items sell for..maybe I do a better job in the newer videos
DO YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE EBAY STORE
No just the one store. Michelle :)
When you sell who pay for the shippers
If the buyer its a long way if the sell was $10.00 it may cost that much to ship
I mostly have buyer pay shipping, but I sometimes offer free ship with a flate rate price...that way I know what the shipping cost will be, as flate rate is one price...doesn't change...thanks for asking Terry xo :)
wow @4:41
thanks as always Debshree xo
Vintage is the way to go with goodwill they toss most of it but they dont know shut about vintage items and just pass it off as dated junk to make way for the consumer repurposed trash
Agree! ✌❤
