My friend, congrats. I´m myself a neurosurgeon and been around in traffic for about 45 years and you know what you´re doing (except for the beer😁😫) remember I live in Germany😂!! Great first aid kit! I´ve seen it all as you, I can imagine… great video!

We leave in 11 days for the Wyoming BDR. I have been putting as much effort into my FAK as I am my camping gear and tools! From my time in the Military and even more later in life, having good quality first aid equipment is paramount! I have seen guys hit HARD on ADV routes. Most never seem to have given first aid much thought. It's not important until it is!

I’m an ER nurse and this kit has pretty much Anything I’d want or need to handle first aide in the field chances are if I needed anything more than this I’d be calling 911 anyway. Only thing I’ve added is nitroglycerin tabs for the sudden chest pain situations

If I may, and not to knock your kit, its a great kit overall. One thing though, please take those Rats TQ's and toss them. Rather replace them with proper proven (having been in the military and LE you know this) TQ's like the C-A-T TQ, SOF-T WIDE TQ, or the new TQ form RAPID-STOP.
Also for bleeding control, take the time and do a proper Stop The Bleed course with a reputable instructor, there are many of them with you guys in the USA.

Hey thanks for watching the video. Just be clear, and I thought I mentioned it in the video, but maybe I didn’t, I do always carry a proper TQ as well. A few actually. Either in my riding vest or in my riding pack. The review was just to go over the kit and even though the RATS may not be proven to be as good as TQ it’s still better than nothing. And yes it’s alway import as I mention to have the proper training. Stop the bleed courses are excellent and I them every other year just to stay up to date. I appreciate the comment. And thanks again for watching

Great job at an overview. There is quite a few items in there. Something small but I liked was the electrolytes they added. HSAs and FSAs are going to be the best way to accumulate all that stuff for free or government paid depending on what your employer provides. Great review once again.

Confirm it’s water resistant not water proof. Makes a difference where you stow the kit. Should have used the White Claw poured over the kit as a liquid test demo.

That is correct, water resistant. They do however have a waterproof version, but it is bigger.

I have to build my own first aid kid (ifak) since I have often forgotten my main medical kit in the car. I have used a chocolate eggshell and it has gone pretty well.
The experience makes me too confident for short walks to the point it can hurt :( I noticed I tend to intentionally forget my main medical kit in the car to save weight because "I can always jump back for it if needed".
By "short walks" I mean mountain trips for 1-2 kilometers away from the car. I have used to consider this a small distance but suddenly realized that depending on the injury it could turn to a "far distance".
Then I have started thinking of a solution. I have researched all mini medical kits. But then a problem occurs! As a difference to my mine medical kid where I have pills especially selected to my problems and often injuries all the kits that are sold out are with too basic equipment (bands, cotton, etc).
I realized I already have these basics and could build my own kit. But in that kit, I'll add all the pills and tools I need.
First I needed to find a stable and small enough box for it. Luckily my kids love chocolate eggs and I had a few plastic eggshells around. Get my main medical kit and start working.
And tadaa! I believe I have prepared one of the smallest and full IFAK kits ever.
(update: I have recently cut myself in the forest and this eggshell save me from bleeding)
Here is what I've got in my pocket-size IFAK:
    Stomach help
    Active carbon
    Water purifying tablets
    Anty allergenic
    2 x Safety Pins
    Hand sanitizer Straw
    Toothpaste Straw
    3 x Bands
    Compressed Cotton
    Micro knife
Do you have a mini IFAK with you? What can I add or remove from mine in your opinion?

@@backcountryadvmoto I agree. It's a nice kit. I like it. But the time it takes an average person to work for the money to buy that is a decent amount. I think for our time we should learn to all build our own. Partly by watching videos like this.

I bought all the items individually and built a First aid belt, cost me $100-200 but it’s pretty comprehensive and since i bought one or two items a week it gave me time to learn/train/build it up. Only thing I can’t get is local anesthetic with 2% lidocaine
