Excellent! Incidents like Yangtse are tactical used for strategic communication. It is how China uses a multifunctional approach to swarm the powerful nations outside and inside many international organisations and take control of everything that once belonged to them.

Nice to hear the erudite and articulate General.
Quick Question - I understand that there is an agreement to not use guns. But if the Chinese land up with overwhelming numbers, it's an attempt to exploit the agreement to gain an advantage. In which case the intent of the agreement is destroyed and the agreement becomes null and void. I suggest that Indian Soldiers be armed with machine guns, mortar and RPG. And it should be made very clear to the Chinese that if attempts are made to use overwhelming number Indian soldiers WILL use guns and other means to restore status quo. Why don't we make this clear to the Chinese and if necessary demonstrate our intent?

A totally newer perspective from the general, although little bit short of logic at times, but in general provides some food for thought.

None of the Grouping are ideological driven, we have excellent ties with Russia as well as Iran, Iraq, or even KSA, and we have been able to leverage a good Oil deal with no remorse felt, Why are we cynical of our forays in foreign policy, Why do we look up to what China does in awe, we must get-off this mindset!

This kind of intrusion was & is an accepted norm, Phase 1 of Salami slicing strategy, fish in troubled waters, test the state of preparedness of the Indian side, Xi needs something to show before the new CCP assumes in Jan, & a diversionary tactics, in face of the pandemic mess internally,
