  • Scott Beim’s grandfather started selling soda that wasn’t always soda across New York and New Jersey during the Prohibition. With the 18th Amendment’s overdue repeal in 1933, he went into business distributing beverages of all sorts.
Scott’s father jumped in after returning from World War II, and Scott himself in the late 1970s, building the company into a 10-million-case beer distributor servicing much of North Jersey.
His sons Jake and Jesse are increasingly taking the reins as the fourth generation.
Last year, we delivered to Scott one of the first Lindell Yachts to grace the East Coast of the United States, a 41-footer powered by twin 600-horse V12 Mercury Verados. He got fast at work putting up numbers of striped bass, bluefish, fluke, and albacore around Sandy Hook and Raritan Bay-as well as venturing to the Hudson Canyon to do battle with yellowfin and bluefin tuna ranging from a dozen pounds to a quarter ton.
Crack a cold one for the Beim family, and see how and why Scott's Lindell is more than just a fishing boat, but a representation of the family's fishing legacy.
