Floor takes the story of the song and processes it emotionally to determine how she is going to present the song. She has said that sometimes it is difficult for her to look at individuals in the audience because of how emotional she gets.
This song is special, a song about human empathy...We really need to care more, and fight less .... I really Like the original version, but that acoustic version just hit's so well into my soul and heart ❤. It is more personal...Also, this songs message, is more Powerful in this way, than its original version !!! I was fortunate enough to see this song played acoustic Live and it was beyond beautiful .... The second verse Tuomas wrote for Floor, her husband Hannes van Dahl and their daughter Freja. This is Tuomas way to say: Thank you Floor for saving the band back in 2012 and make us great again. he wrote the part "We met where the cliff greets the sea" about her relationship with Hannes van Dahl, the drummer of Sabaton (although is also a clear reference to Élan), and "Now there’s one who came from me / A child of light, another tale", which is about her giving birth to their first daughter Freja. How cool is that? I mean, he really did what the song is about: human empathy. And what a better way to show it by dedicating a little part of the song for his friend and band mate? She said she went to tears when he mentioned it to her. And I can see why, it is a beautiful song. NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.
During their last tour, when it was visible that SHE was pregnant, SHE changed the line"Now there`s one who came from me" to: "Now there are two who came from me". 🥰
Thanks again Ginx for doing this reaction. This is a special song for me because we do need to ask people more often, how's the heart. Thanks for answering my question about the recording being clean. I knew as a pro audio engineer that you would be able to tell...🥰
"How's The Heart" should always be sung this way! It's more emotional and it touches the audience with more of an impact! Floor is a generational vocalist...the best I have heard in my 66 years!
Troy plays: Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, pump organ, bouzouki, cittern, bodhrán, mandola, harmonium, aerophone and anything that can't run fast enough to get away. Fun fact for you: In her home studio, Floor uses an AKG C12 VR mic. Not a cheap beast. The other one in this session was an acoustic version of Nemo.
FYI..the guitarist is multi instrumentalist Troy Donackley, who also plays bouzouki, all wind instruments on the planet, Uilleen pipes (they are awesome), among others, and sings partial lead on The Carpenter and My Walden....legend is he was asked in an interview "you play......is there anything u don't play," to which he supposedly thought for a minute and then said "yeah, ice hockey". I'm guessing he can play ice hockey a bit also, tho
I like your way to see these Videos.. thank you Great Musikstrukture (thanks to Tuomas) Great Singing (Floor) Great band (all) AND Great Crewwish (all Technics and hard worker behind the stage)
I remember them just getting in this video plus the one of Nemo at the same studio right before Covid hit - then it was cancelled concerts after cancelled concerts until they were able to finally take Human Nature on the road live - also i love, in this clip, how Floor backs away from the mic before sshe belts out the later chorus - I figure that she knows by now how much the mic can take LOL!
I think this arrangement was so well liked, they played it this way on one of the virtual concerts and in some of the following tour, although the band returns to the stage and gently joins in near the end. Saw it played this way live in Montréal May 2022, loved it.
Great reaction 🎉This is terribly difficult song to sing , and Floor sings so wonderfully in this song❤ . Troy with the acoustic guitar is a masterclass🤘🤘🤘
Although with some of the story written with Floor's recent history in mind. "And now theres one who came from me" a reference to the birth of Floor's first daughter Freya.
Troy is now deaf on one side...there 's a second song called:" Nemo". same show and also acoustic.beautiful as well. thank you for your lovely reaction.greets from the NW Army in the Netherlands.
Yeah, she's one hell of a storyteller, but she also has Holopainen stories to tell. They're both empathic geniuses. Troy is such a perfect fit for Nightwish and AURI with Tuomas. Tuomas can play multiple instruments (I've heard ten) and Troy can play practically anything (I've heard at least thirteen instruments). AURI is Toumas, his wife Johanna Kurkela, and Troy, with Kai adding percussion when needed. It's Nightwish Soft in many ways ... pure genius.
Gina, the sound guy did a good job not only is there a fret board mic and a body mic, but Troy's Fylde (UK) guitar is also using it's internal pick up, it's plugged in if you look. My best wishes from here. Richard.
I think you are spot on - Floor is a unique storyteller. She is capable of holding back and still sounding so powerful and intense, that it is going directly through your ears and into your mind and spine, so the story is felt deeply. I have heard her without any mic (doing classical) - she is mind blowing powerful, also in the emotional parts.
Most people when you see them ask ``how are you`` but honestly they don`t care. This song hit`s me in the soul { like all Nightwish song`s} but I say this often now because I really mean it.
Thank You so much, I loved that so much, Lady you rock, Floor is without doubt the most versatile Female singer in the world today, So is so underrated, and unknow in a lot of places it is untrue, she will be Always My Queen
Floor has musical theater training. I don't think very many rock singers have that type of training? Floor also claims to be a high sensitive personality, which helps her to feel every word she sings in a very personal style.
THIS solidifies the value of the Gwen Factor! Keep. It. Up. Please. Meanwhile, the NW catalog beckons... Thanks, Gina, for another lovely react. More, more, more! Cheers rl 🤘👹🤘
I don't know if this is true, but I heard someone say that Floor destroyed some microphones earlier in her career (by overload not by throwing them or something).
The fourth of July I'll see here together with Anneka van Giersbergen who's the mother of European metal. What the do I don't know. Will it be good? I'm very, very, very sure. I'll report after that concert on discord Gina. Greetz from Pieter.
Having seen her live 1st of June I can tell you - there is no better female singer in this world!
Such a blessing to be in her timeline.
I'm not a crier, but I know if I ever see her live I won't stop crying. Someday i will see her...I hope!
@@FromG2eminor I wish for you it will turn out. It's definetely a lifetime experience.
This song touches that heart so easily. Floor and Troy do a wonderful job.
There’s always an added something that Floor adds to a song. Emotion.
Floor takes the story of the song and processes it emotionally to determine how she is going to present the song. She has said that sometimes it is difficult for her to look at individuals in the audience because of how emotional she gets.
Floor is a world-class empath, singing poetry written by another world-class empath.
I saw Nightwish in concert at Wembley stadium during the last tour, nothing can prepare you for the power of Floor's voice.
Floor is the best singer on the planet
I concur.
I totally agree!
Best Singer Of This Solar System...
O Maybe.... THE BEST SINGER IN THIS GALAXY!!!!
Well, Duh!

I love this version so much! Troy is just awesome. Floor never ever dissapoints me. She is my vocal hero.

Have you seen the microphone that Floor uses at home for her recordings/podcast etc? AKG C12 VR
Rather spendy if you go look it up. . . . . . . Floor was asked about it and said simply she tried many and that AKG suited her voice best.
Oh yes I know it well!!!…it is 🤤 for us audio engineers LOL
With it being a large diaphragm tube mic…it has a very distinct sound…and then the VR version having the 9 different polar patterns 👀🫠
GINX replies .. and my mind odes a reset :)

In which Floor Jansen proves she can, in an emergency, function as car alarm, air raid siren, train horn or fog horn.

Also her father said this in an interview.
Spine tingling 🤘
The second verse was written for Floor.🤘🎸The lyric video is also worth a listen it is different.🤘🎸
Funny thing aside, Floor mostly uses her own AKG C12VR microphone, which is in a class of its own.
What a nice way to end a work day, for me. Thanks!
