The real reason you hate speaking in public | Get over the fear of looking stupid

The #1 reason people say they hate speaking in public - they don't want to look stupid.
I know this far too well. Each time I go to record a video, get on stage or take the floor in a boardroom, I get nervous!! Yes, still after all this time.
As it turns out, the far majority of us experience some form of Imposter Syndrome.
That's right, no matter how prepared we are, how experienced we, how respected we are, we still feel like we don't belong. 🙄
Although I don't suspect I can remove this fear altogether, I do hope that by recognizing the jitters, the butterflies in the stomach and the desire to cancel any presentation that I've booked, I can grow as a person.
