The Dishonored series has so much replay value, like honestly, I can never get bored of this game. My personal favourite playstyle is Ghost, no kills and Low Chaos, but I also did a High Chaos run as well and enjoyed every moment of it. This game is easily a 10/10 for me, definetly reccomend to anyone who never played it.
My favorite is Mostly Flesh and Steel (no upgrading magic), Clean Hands (no killing), and Ghost (never get seen by anyone). Ghost will also get you Shadow (never be seen by anyone except key targets) And of course those only apply to hostiles, so you can be seen by nonhostile NPCs
The disappearing figure when you leave the Office of the High Overseer is likely Naria, one of the Brigmore Witches in the Dishonored 1 DLC. She plays the same role in The Brigmore Witches, acting as a watchful figure that blinks away if you get too close (yet can be killed / choked out if you use Bend Time). It's likely that Delilah wanted to keep a tab on Corvo, as he's the Royal Protector and during the events of Dishonored 1 is trying to retrieve Emily Kaldwin, whom Delilah wants to possess.
@@tonybolognavich70 Dishonored 1 and Daud's DLCs run concurrently. You can occasionally hear loudspeaker announcements on what Corvo's doing as you play Daud.
I always liked how they had that father-daughter element in Dishonored. And them adding that Easter egg makes it seem like the Outsider was haunting Emily ever since she was a kid.
Dishonored is pretty much a perfect game for me. I'm a big fan of stealth games, and i also love games where you can use different types of powers ((time controlling is something i always liked,so Dishonored made me really happy about it)) Thanks to the developers and everyone involved in the making of this game, amd thank you for making this video, they are always great. Keep up the great work, cheers from Brazil !
Seriously? No one's even said it yet? I may not be first, but I will be the first to say... Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight? And, of course, the Portal reference! God, I love this game!
The dishonored series is probably one of my favourite. The games atmosphere is so creepy and scary. It's so fun I'm glad you made this video cap it's a video I've wanted to see for a while. I'm not sure if you've already done this but have you thought about doing any Easter eggs in the halo series?
Dude, dishobored was one of the first games i bought on steam when i changed to pc, and that was an amazing choice, I love the series! I love all the atmoaphere, story, characters, enemies, everything is amazing and the gameplay is perfect, i love to do everything stealthy. 11/10
The disappearing man at the end of Cambell assassination is actually one of Daud's assassin's that reports to him. You can see many of those that will report to you in knife of dunewall dlc
Another cool thing in Dishonoured 2 is in the corridor after leaving the safe room you see the same picture of the Pendeltons you may have stolen from the art dealer in the previous game.
I found one in clockwork mansion in the first room. Its a painting that has "karanca better time" backwards and it plays something very simarly to the music in the last mission
I know no one will see this, but 0451 isn't a reference to Farenheit, it was just the code to the office of Looking Glass Studios, the developer of the first System Shock, which is the first game the code appeared in. They've confirmed this themselves, look it up
5:00 someone actually was on the PC version of dishonored one and took some close up shots of this figure its nothing to special its one of the shooting dummys that u can find around the game with a teleporting effect to make the player think they are being watched by someone with powers like you (Duad, outsider, or a witch)
I don't know why I love it over all other games because it ain't something absolutely special but The dishonored series is my favourite game series of all time I even got the Collectors edition of the 2nd game
The bottle of cider was, literally, the first easter I ever found in this game. In fact, upon noticing the complete painting in Campbell's pleasure room, I was truly curious whether Corvo/Me removing the bottle in the prologue would reflect upon it. And, most surprisingly, it did. Good on Arkane! Attention to detail! I guess, the second easter egg would have been branding Campbell and finding him later as a weeper.
The thing is if you see the disappearance effect again, it looks more like granny rags' transformation vs daud's gang's. So, I'd say one of the outsider's favorite people
Ah, Dishonored! One of my three favorite video games ever! It has even inspired the design approach in a stealth-action Indie game project I've been conceptualizing -- much like Dishonored was heavily influenced by the Thief series and the works of artist, Viktor Antonov (think of the similarities between Half-Life 2's Combine APC's vs the on-rail street cars seen in Dishonored; or the crushing Combine walls in HL2 vs similar-looking static walls in Dishonored)! A very pleasant surprise, Captain! Thank you! Admittedly, I'm writing this before watching, so the video might have even pointed those tidbits out.
I feel like a lot of people missed "Campbell's Curse" - where you recover your gear and find weeper Campbell, there's a note from him on the ground that outlines what happened to hik after being branded, and a curse he inflicts on Corvo. Just another neat detail!
I noticed Emily if you visit her while sleeping also mentions the man with black eyes. She says something in the lines of "you're creepy stop looking at me." And refers to his void black eyes.
This game is my favourite of all time and yet it is criminally underrated how few lore, theory, easter egg, and fact videos there are on it compared to other Bethesda (and even Arkane Studios) games.
4:00 the portal thing is also possibly a callback to a feature that was supposed to be in the game. The feature in question was a door(portal) to the void, something the player could open to store memorobilia from the game's missions.
the person disappearing in the overseer Campbell mission has the same look as when a witch teleports rather than the outsider dissapearing or whaler transversal. so it is either one of the brigmore witches (probably Delilah) or granny rags who has the same teleport.
These games have a very unique art style that just keeps on growing on me, despite their age. Love these games. The wall paintings are an absolute highlight......the details on them are unreal. Not to mention the utterly spectacular grand palace level. Arkane hit it out of the park with the level design of Dishonored 2.
Some cool Dishonored Easter Eggs in Prey, The code to Morgan Yu's office is 0451 and there is a piano in the music room near the start of the game before you enter the Talos 1 Lobby where if you play it it sounds just like the piano from Dishonored 1. Also the voice of Corvo (Steven Russel) is the voice of Dr. Bellamy the one who gives you the test at the start of the game
I think the death of the Outsider has a Silent Hill the room Easter egg. When entering the bank through the sewers, there's a door in one of the blocked off area that has chains attached to the outside. Looks a lot like Henry's chained apartment door from Silent Hill the room
You mention that the darksouls easter egg being in pretty much everything but didn't include what seems to be your favourite type of easter egg, and equally ubiquitous, the weeping angels bust figures in one of the challenge levels. Side note. Dr Luigi Galvani is sort of a reference to the real world experimental physics professor that did experiments with deceased frogs. Similar to that, Dishonored's Galvani did experiments on deceased diseased rats from the first game's plague.
I actually just got done platting Death of the outsider, and gotta say my favorite is the first game Platted once on ps3, then again on ps4 Favorite run is Mostly Flesh and Steel, Clean Hands, and Ghost (which of course also gets you Shadow)
maybe you already know but 451 code is not a reference to Bradbury, it's a code from the office door of Looking glass studios. Devs said it in interviews many times.
