I think the bday party cheat is a reference to Halo where there is a skull you can find and when you activate it every time you kill a grunt, confetti and cheering happens.
Daisy's location in the last chapter of the game had me like "HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO SEE THAT?! Tell me, how in all things Hellish and Demonic am I, a gamer, is supposed to see that sweet little snuggle puffer, while randomly looking around the environment?"
I feel like the reason Daisy shows up is that is her spirit, so when the Slayer feels like almost can't take it anymore, she shows up to support him and give him resolve, and the will to destroy, for humanity, and most importantly to avenge her.
Great work on this video! I just want to point some aditional info on the presented content: Flynn Taggart is the main character in the DOOM novels. The Soul Cube also appeared in DOOM (2016) in Olivia Pierce's lab. the book reference of Atlas Reaped and Teared is Atlas Shrugged. The Ten Dollars Left to Spend is a aditional reference to the book Five Hundred Dollars. The book The Art of Rip and Tear, is a reference to the book Sun Tzu the Art of War. The book My Best Friend, Daisy is a reference to My Best Friend, Bob by Georgie Ripper. The book Slayenstein i think is a reference to the book Einstein, since this section is a reference to books, not games. The book EAT. RIP. TEAR. is a reference to the book Eat. Pray. Love. And i would like to add some other references: When the hooded figure gives the slayer his powers in a flashback, he uses the same words Samuel Hayden uses on DOOM (2016) when he gives the first argent cell: "a gift. Take it. It will give you strenght. Help you on your journey.". In Taras Nabat, the slayer has some flashbacks, and it's the first time we hear him say something, and that something is a reference to the DOOM Comics : "Huge, huge guts. I have to kill them all. Rip and Tear!". Since it is a reference video, you should also mention the suits that can be unlocked in the Fortress of DOOM, the DOOM (2016) Slayer Praetor Suit, and the original DOOM games DOOM Marine Suit. Also the moment when the slayer gets the crucible, it's a reference to He-Man And The Masters of The Universe, and in this scene, when he puts the crucible in front of his face, is a reference to Thundercats. As i said, awesome work, and i think that this games has a lot more references and easter eggs that we didn't found yet. It has a lot of things happening all the time, that is hard to keep track of everything.
It makes me happy that I've found 90% of those during my normal playthrough. What else could be hidden in there? Now that console commands have been unlocked, we can use noclip and similar techniques to traverse the maps in all directions in order to find even more cool stuff. There must be more.
i found the strange sprite easter egg when searching around the map to fully complete the level You can probably guess how confused i was when i found it.
Similar "party mode" was hidden in Manhunt 2. With goofy cartoon sounds when shooting or using melee and rainbow blood. Probably it was going to be some bonus stuff, but it was ereased and only part of it can be restored.
11:53 Speaking of Daisy, I guess this might be the reason why Doom and Animal Crossing crossover was made. When Doom sees Isabelle, this reminds him of Daisy.
Mr MostWanted it is not another reason lol it’s the main reason why does it exist, nobody even thought about that crossover before they deloyed Eternal
@@cassalamon In the Icon of Sin mission, there's a sign that says "HIVE: Colony Solutions". The lit up parts of the sign draw out the positions in the comic and even the lit up lights spell out "Loss". God fucking damn it. We can't escape the meme.
26:04 I think the book "Slayenstein" may be referencing Frankenstein, the first-ever work of science fiction. 27:38 "The Living End" is the name of Map 29 from Doom II: Hell on Earth.
@@orangeboi3387 I think they did it on purpose because the ones you can buy on psn/xbox live are much better, 60 fps, customized controls and you can play final doom, No rest for living and SIGIL on them
27:35 - The magazine covers reference Doom (1993) levels - E3M3 "Pandemonium" and E4M2 "Perfect Hatred". Also possibly MAP03 "The Gantlet" from Doom 2, but it's spelled "The Gauntlet".
In the first level near the three wall cannons you can find the wall of flesh from terraria (or at least a wall of flesh that REALLY resembles it) You can also find multiple DOOM poems on random papers scattered about any office areas
Could be either, but since Doomguy is BJ Blascowitz's great grandson and the fact that both Wolfenstein and Doom were made by ID software it's easier to think that it's the later.
the "bomb defusal" subtitle on the Deus Ex book is a reference to an infamous scene in that game where the player character would very calmly exclaim "A bomb!" should they find a bomb planted on their helicopter, which is then defused
I think the floating door sprite that can be flipped upside down at 3:45 is a reference to the accidental misalignment of a few textures in the secret OG Doom level segments in Doom 2016.
very good video, only thing you forgot was about some perks with rock'n'roll song names like seek and destroy from metallica, and I think there's one more from megadeth but I don't really remember the name, maybe sweating bullets or rust in peace

I feel bad for the demon at the post credit scene lol
I’m not, serves him right for going into doomguy’s mancave and touching his stuff
@@battlesheep2552 now that i thought about it i don't to
That's basically like your sibling touching your stuff without asking
I think the bday party cheat is a reference to Halo where there is a skull you can find and when you activate it every time you kill a grunt, confetti and cheering happens.
One of the achievements in game is called "Gorpheus" 'Ascend from Nekravol', pretty positive it references Morpheus 🤔
6:31 when my brother catches me playing with his toys without permission
I realized the green fish you find in cultist base makes an archville sound.
nobody
Daisy: *I am four parallel universes ahead of you.*
And thats true
First daisy was killed
But other stayed alive
Here is the fulliest list of references from Doom Eternal I ever found.
Great job! Well done!
HOW TO COMB YOUR MUSTACHE :
1. GET A COMB
2.COMB YOUR MUSTACHE
3. YOUR DONE
I feel like the reason Daisy shows up is that is her spirit, so when the Slayer feels like almost can't take it anymore, she shows up to support him and give him resolve, and the will to destroy, for humanity, and most importantly to avenge her.
That Duke Nukem easter egg was brilliant haha
Can we take a moment to realise 3D dope fish was probably worshipped by the mortally challenged
Oh, i forgot, the new arm blade and sholder grenade launcher, are references to Predator as well.
The "Dodge This" milestone is a reference to The Matrix and the little image for it replicates the movie's camera shot when the line is said
I'm happy FPS fans haven't forgotten about the Duke after all these years.
Reboot when?
As soon as Gearbox folds, Randy Bitchford is set alight causing a grease fire, and someone who cares buys the rights to Duke.
In about 14 years
@@NEEDbacon no ni jwjadnáj
missed the Atlas Shrugged reference. also i think eat rip tear might be "eat sleep work repeat"
pretty cool tho
The comic titled "The Living End" is a reference to Doom 2's penultimate level with the same name.
It makes me happy that I've found 90% of those during my normal playthrough. What else could be hidden in there? Now that console commands have been unlocked, we can use noclip and similar techniques to traverse the maps in all directions in order to find even more cool stuff. There must be more.
i found the strange sprite easter egg when searching around the map to fully complete the level
You can probably guess how confused i was when i found it.
Similar "party mode" was hidden in Manhunt 2. With goofy cartoon sounds when shooting or using melee and rainbow blood. Probably it was going to be some bonus stuff, but it was ereased and only part of it can be restored.
2:19 hi Doom Slayer, you want a baloon?
What are you doing with that shotgun?
Oh my...
You missed one thing. The first sentinel king's name is Ormero. You probably have an idea who that's referring to
15:39 Searching all my windows wich task was finished lol
I am completely astonished by how much effort was put into this video
Yes I was waiting for this
3:24 i like how the 2 jumps go so well with the music
11:53 Speaking of Daisy, I guess this might be the reason why Doom and Animal Crossing crossover was made.
When Doom sees Isabelle, this reminds him of Daisy.
Mr MostWanted crossover was made by community because both games were released on the same day
@@tommeowson1135 I know. That's another reason why this crossover exists.
Mr MostWanted it is not another reason lol it’s the main reason why does it exist, nobody even thought about that crossover before they deloyed Eternal
@@tommeowson1135 Okay.
About crossover, it is cute and amazing.
I think people already got both games
6:13. R.I.P random zombie, just playing with toys until Doom Guy shows up
That is the most human zombie i ever seen
There is another electronic sign referencing the meme “loss”
.....oh God, not that meme!
Where?
@@cassalamon In the Icon of Sin mission, there's a sign that says "HIVE: Colony Solutions". The lit up parts of the sign draw out the positions in the comic and even the lit up lights spell out "Loss". God fucking damn it. We can't escape the meme.
SergeantTeabag holy crap someone else knows
@@SergeantTeabag I thought the hive signs said "ive lost"
26:04 I think the book "Slayenstein" may be referencing Frankenstein, the first-ever work of science fiction.
27:38 "The Living End" is the name of Map 29 from Doom II: Hell on Earth.
...Which was a living dead reference
That’s awesome that you can unlock the first 2 doom games
Tho the port they used is kinda bad i hope they choose to update it
@@orangeboi3387 I think they did it on purpose because the ones you can buy on psn/xbox live are much better, 60 fps, customized controls and you can play final doom, No rest for living and SIGIL on them
@@Anex952 those are ok i like them i just hope theres a way to use gzdoom so you can play more complex mods
13:52 The huge guts line is an easter egg itself, as the Doom comic had the line "Guts, HUGE GUTS."
26:04 I think thats supposed to be Frankenstein
27:35 - The magazine covers reference Doom (1993) levels - E3M3 "Pandemonium" and E4M2 "Perfect Hatred". Also possibly MAP03 "The Gantlet" from Doom 2, but it's spelled "The Gauntlet".
The Living End reference (27:37) may also refer to Map 29 of Doom 2!
And Pandemonium is also a level in the first Doom.
In the first level near the three wall cannons you can find the wall of flesh from terraria (or at least a wall of flesh that REALLY resembles it)
You can also find multiple DOOM poems on random papers scattered about any office areas
You really didn't need to include the progression secrets. That being said, i didn't see daisy a single time so thanks for that.
i think that the demon playing with the little doomslayer and tyrant is just kinda adorable for some reason.
I CANT STOP WATCHING IT ITS ADORABLE
*Tyrant, not CD*
@@moriorinvictus7269 sorry lol i was just typing fast and my head wasnt thinking
(im gonna edit it out anyways)
Hey maybe "Slayenstein" is a reference to Frankenstein and not Wolfenstein.
Could be either, but since Doomguy is BJ Blascowitz's great grandson and the fact that both Wolfenstein and Doom were made by ID software it's easier to think that it's the later.
26:08 Eat. Rip. Tear. is a Doom themed play on Eat, Pray, Love.
27:50
Man, it must be as hot as hell in there
Its nice to see that the Dopefish is back from his untimely death in Quake 2
Can someone explain the "I've lost" reference is from
Yes plz
If I'm going to guess it's probably just a message that's like that, or the t.v. show lost
A reference to the old TV show "Lost".
the "bomb defusal" subtitle on the Deus Ex book is a reference to an infamous scene in that game where the player character would very calmly exclaim "A bomb!" should they find a bomb planted on their helicopter, which is then defused
Isabelle aproves this
I’m really surprised that the devs added a devil daggers Easter egg. I think that’s awesome honestly
I think the floating door sprite that can be flipped upside down at 3:45 is a reference to the accidental misalignment of a few textures in the secret OG Doom level segments in Doom 2016.
Great, now everytime I'm in super gore nest I'll be thinking of that crocodile stalking me.
very good video, only thing you forgot was about some perks with rock'n'roll song names like seek and destroy from metallica, and I think there's one more from megadeth but I don't really remember the name, maybe sweating bullets or rust in peace
During the escape part I got that old Descent feeling back. Loved it!
The guns and bullet easter eggs with the over 9000 refrence is also an easter egg in the fallout series guns and bullets magazine with gives plus 10 ballistic damage
I was waiting for this video, you are best easter eggs searcher
What if Daisy is actually the Dark Lord, Doom Slayer is after the whole time? You know, the great mastermind who planned and executed everything to this point.
"Atlas ripped and teared" is also a nod to "Atlas shrugged", the Ayn Rand book that helped inspire Bioshock
26:08 it's not just doom track reference. it's a reference to the book Eat, Pray, Love
27:23 guns and bullet is the name of sone collectable book in fallout
