Born in Goes in 1976 I grew up with this steam train and got obviously a little used to it. It is therefore wonderful to see it like this, in excellent weather conditions and filmed from a very well built recent reconstruction of the original railcars of this line. Your information along the movie is flawless, even the quite difficult spelling of the village names. Which are funny, actually, as you travel in fact literally from Bear Land to Goose, passing Church of the Little Hats (Hoedekenskerke) and Count's Polder ('s-Gravenpolder). Well worth a visit, this museum, as are the Tropical Zoo or the outstanding view on the Wester Scheldt near Hoedekenskerke station.

It was a interesting video but the quality was very bad. However I enjoyed the trip anyway. So thanks mate, it was a good trip. The Netherlands is very beautiful. Have been there many times. Good connections between Norway and Netherland.

Me again! That was FANTASTIC!! Hope I didn't put the other viewers off; I feel I may have dominated the chat somewhat. Was it Dutch that some of them were using or German? Think the two languages are similar but I never studied either ☹sad Bach's choral music sounds so much better when sung in German...

The video is great and the mechanical upkeep of the line appears to be very good. Just curious why more weed control isn't used.

A bit of a problem with the video quality. Did you use TH-cam's anti-shake? I tried using it once and it caused distortion similar to this on one of my videos.

Wonderous. My son was at uni in den Haag and I visited him as much as I could (whilst also ticking off some NS track..) and we went on this railway. Most excellent, 2 german railcars I think.

Though this was on a relaxed day. At some years there is also an event called 'sporen naar het verleden' (tracks to the past). At that event there are some visitors from around the country that are either on display or driving on the rails. I went on this many years ago. Loco hauled train. Those carriages have the softest suspension and they rocked sickeningly sideways the whole way. I felt soooo seasick!! Only time on a train. My ex was upset as I couldn't take anymore and we got a taxi back 🤦♂️

@@HenrysAdventures honestly the whole journey was horrible and I really hope it's fixed. The carriages were literally swaying slowly from side to side the whole way. I wondered if it was due to track maintenance

That's a lovely old train and railway. Since I'm Dutch I'll have to look into visiting this when it's in operation.
Age isn't a problem but in this case the line is as flat as a pancake!
Shame about the unstable image which made me feel sick 🤮otherwise it would have been fun to watch.
