Empathy is my biggest strength but I have learned that given to the wrong people for too long will devalue something so pure. Not being rude, just honest but this says you think the lady you love is no longer beautiful (outside) and if she hears her own man say that out loud or she could read his heart, could hurt her feelings. And we all know some men not all would love to go for younger women but they would hate the young woman's attitude even though she's beautiful. And yet some could care less.
You need to be saying all this to the guys. I've always dated plain, unremarkable guys. Guys no one would look at twice. I was attracted to their personality, and what I thought was humility and honesty. Turns out they were all looking for a centerfold girl to take home. Someone WAY out of their league. They pretend to be gentlemen until they get what they want. These guys typically end up alone, eating takeout food every day and night. Divorced. Paying child support. Pathetic. All of them tell me I was "the one." They "never should have let me go." Too little, too late.

Long story short I was being that type of woman to the wrong boys & I wasn’t properly taught what to look for in a man. My naive ass thought all men would treat me wth the same level of care as my father & the men in my direct family. I honestly appreciate listening to you speak. Society makes it so hard to trust black men & it’s nice to be reassured that the qualities my man is showing me are healthy 1s. I kinda went through something similar. I had nice men in my family and was never trained to look out for users and abusers. Also grew up looking at my parents' great marriage as well. So I was pretty naive and had to learn a lot of things on my own..
Unfortunately same on my end!!! I ended up dating men from broken homes major abandonment so they were unhealed and I paid for their traumas yet thinking I come from great happily married parents that would never happen to me… boy was I wrong 😑

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. It all depends on why you are unhappy and leaving, and if it is a committed/marriage relationship. There will always be differences between people. Is your attitude "my way or the highway", or are there genuine non-negotiable differences that are very important to you? Those should be discussed before you are committed. Once committed, maturely discuss how you can work with each other to resolve the differences.
