I am very fond of this quite out of the way overture.
This is very well done on all levels, and whilst I knew of Percy Pitt from reading about Adrian Boult, I had no idea he ever made any records. Imagine if Pitt had ever made a recording with the BBC SO? On the showing it would rival anything Boult would subsequently manage!
