Thanks Leigh! The twisted wire comes from the old days when I used to work in the jewellery trade.We used to twist silver or gold wire like that and solder it round the edges of bangles. Surprising what you keep at the back of your head!!By the way,it took 8 takes for Sheila to get that one right!!

Keith Barrow My initial thought was to use it to wind two different colors of wire together and then use those to make a kumihimo bracelet from the spun wires. We shall see how it goes. :) I can see that coming in handy for many other projects though. I could also use the wrapped wires to form around raw clay to create pendants. :0)

Amazing how much of a difference decent tools can make for how much you enjoy working on projects. Was the same going from my 14" band saw to my 17" band saw. Thanks for sharing this project! Certainly very involved. Cauldron came out nicely for the little witch!

Keith, you've just turned my favorite piece by you, forget pencils and goblets and what not, this is simply lovely and I want to make not one, but a few of these, for just about anything, keeping sugar, salt, nuts, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds (all of which we use daily), I'm just loving it, and the twisted wire and handle is brilliant. The ladle is a nice touch as well, but it's too cute for my rustic and manly kitchen (but I'll probably make those as well...). Thank you for sharing my friend!!

The woodturning part of this video was excellent. Excellent, as informational and entertainment value. However , it doesn't even come close to the quality and entertainment value of the last 60 to 90 seconds of the video. Bravo bravo bravo. Thank you for another good video. Great project, loved watching this one and all topped off with the little bit of comedy at the end. I've not mentioned it so far as I thought that after a while others may have mentioned it before and you had changed, however I'm still 8 months behind your current videos. I'm a little concerned with the roughing gouge being used on the end grain, This can cause a nasty catch and the roughing gouge doesn't have the strength where it goes into the handle like a bowl gouge. Still when I catch up it may all be different now. Well done, well thought out and great fun to watch.
