Strange that lens manufacturers go for ultra-modern, clean optical rendering as soon as they include AF. I would have really liked 7Artisans to bring the simplicity and (often very old, pre-WWII Zeiss Sonnar/Biotar derived) optical formulas of their manual focus lenses, which all their quirks and character, to their new AF mirrorless lenses.
That's a good point. However, I think that's what most people want and that's why we get the modern clean rendering.
Great review Matti. It's awesome to see some local scenes in the B-Roll :) Great job.
Thanks bro. Had to include some local flavor😀
Hi Matti, this Artisan lens takes nice photos and i think it would be good for someone who takes photos as a hobby. Loved the Red VW Combi Van. Thanks Matti. 😊
Thanks. The VW bus was so nice.
@@mattisulanto your welcome Matti 😊
Great job !
Thanks!
I bought this, it is still on shipment
Great. I hope you'll like the lens.
I like more smaller lenses, but nice video.
Thanks!
Always appreciate your videos
and you... A shining example of how someone can be nice on the Internet and informative
I do love this company
but I have to say that, and I know this is not necessarily a production lens, but the lens is huge
much much bigger than Sony's own 55mm f/1.8
makes no sense
perhaps I'm missing the point
appreciate you, always
Thanks. The Sony Zeiss 55mm is a tiny lens and also a pretty good lens.
Who planted palmtrees in Helsinki 😁
There is a program to plant more palm trees😀
Such a great weather in Finland. I should plan a winter trip with plenty of tshirts in the suitcase
@@andrear9500 Please, check the latest weather report before you take off😀
That clickless "A" in the aperture and AF/MF slider is discomforting to me to decide getting that 7artisans. I might just settle for the new lower priced Meike 50mm f1.8 AF instead. Lower by about $30. Similar build quality with better clicks on the AF/MF slider and "A" setting on the aperture ring.
Hope this 50mm design also for L-mount 🤞😅
We all would like to see that.
Looking forward to a 35mm for Z and X-mount.....
Yeah, that would be nice. Probably in the works already😀
We need small, non perfect, vintage lenses with autofocus. Nobody does this
