- In this video I show you how to fix the Assertion Failed error as well as LowLevelFatalError that crashes ARK when you try to join an online game or a singleplayer game.
If the game minimizes after the crash and you cannot get it back up to see where it crashed, try chaning the settings to windowed mode. - เกม

why it didn't work for me
I gotta say, this is a huge failure by the devs. When I pay €55 euro for a game that has been out this long, I expect it to work properly, and not have to do their job for them.

Before the summer update recently my game worked fine, but when I install the update it crashes at the dino spawn bit so fuck wildcard lmao.
@@darky1023 your quite wrong my friend most of the money goes back into the devs who made it. What your paying for is going to the company what G2A does is buy a whole bunch of games when there on sale and that's not helping the devs who make such great games

So last Fjordur patch I had this error and am somewhat a casual at the moment so I told myself I would try the servers again later. Same thing today on the release of the Event for summer. Followed your guide and deleted the Biomes one that it was stuck on. ran the check and it found 6 files that needed replacing... I don't know what happened. It worked for me so far! tried on solo 1st, and now on the online maps.

OMG! It really worked. I had the error at Primal Data and it wasnt there in the maps so i deleted all and it worked. Thank you sm!
Even if this doesn't work I still appreciate how relatable it seems as well as how easy it is to understand. All these other videos are telling me to uninstall the game and reinstall it and I ponder how tf that even works for anyone smh xD

everyone has a different error read where u are crashing and search for it.
And for me I could move around for a second before crash....

Hi, You said it was the underwater part of the map that was causing the issue. How do i find the info needed to pinpoint where my game is crashing.
I was playing Ark on Geforce Now (steam version).I have been having this issue and it crashes right at "snapshot 19". However, I did not install the game so I'm unable to follow all the steps here. Is there a fix for this?
thanks this really helped. I had a game world on Fjordur where I invested already 60 hours and it always crashed but my other game worlds on a diffrent map always worked so I was worried that I would lose my Fjordur world but your video helped me fix it :D

My PC doesn't show the loading screen, it just freezes on the map select. It's always done that with this new computer, so I dont know where it crashes... :/

I have the same issue although i can load in, but within 10 minutes of loading it crashes to desktop, and the error message appears after a few seconds

@@ASHPR1 did you make sure you have the maps downloaded? I was getting the error and I didn't realize you needed to download the maps as I'm an xbox player.

andrew baker problem has been solved after several verifying integrity file things but thank you, another problem I’m struggling with now is disk write error, same as well I’ve recently came from both Xbox and PS4 I’m new to pc

Anyone else still having issues? i have done everything from verifying / doing what the vid said above to reinstalling all of ark entirely but when playing i either fly around and freeze and crash and get that error and other times its perfect? and i can only get back in if i die or reinstall the game. Im so lost how to fix this.

This is super disappointing, because I hadn't played Ark in a year or so, saw some updates and decided...hey, why not. I've upgraded my computer since then, so now I've got a better setup and an RTX2080. Set it to play 4k just for fun, worked fine for about an hour, then crashed. Launched again, same thing. Seems like the more I load the game, the faster it crashes.
I saw some people comment to lower video settings, and none of that helps. From some other feedback, looks like this might be a known issue that they don't care to fix, but I'd hope that isn't the case.

If anyone has the issue where it crashes when its loading “the island ruins” try reset your game to a previous save file to see if it helps, I tried a bunch of methods and none of them resolved the issue when I wanted to play the island map. until I deleted the corrupted latest save file and reused a previous save file,
How did you find and load the previous version
@@sgghost1476 on your computer files go into your steam library, then steam apps, then common, then ark, then shooter game, then saved, then saved arks local, then you should see saved files called “Theisland”
Remove the latest save file, then copy and paste a previous save file and rename it to “theisland” so it shoots it up to the top of all previous saves and prioritizes it

all these errors in recent games is really very annoying. For 3 years I've been getting crashes and errors on my $2k PC. I had a gtx970, i7 5820k, 16gb ram, all the best parts at the time. I've tried so many things to fix this. Reinstalling drivers, Windows, messing with every possible setting, or anything I could find online. Nvidia kept saying it wasn't them. Windows tech support had me do something that killed my mobo and made me lose everything hahah. Fking Microsoft. Recently my video card burned up, so I ordered some new parts: an rtx 2060, X470 mobo and Ryzen 5 2600X cpu. While I waited i put in a really old gtx 460 to start up my pc. Eventually my addiction to a game had me try it out on the lowest possible settings.. It worked without errors... hahah. Believe that? All this newer technology is full of problems and is designed to start dying/breaking after a short time to force us to keep spending money..
I installed these new parts when i got em, and reinstalled Win10 and all drivers etc. 10minutes into ARK, CRASH. OMFG. so pissed right now. Reinstalled drivers again. Verified game integrity... wtf man this is ridiculous.
I know you're probably not gonna see this but i have the same problem but its complicated, Basically when i load in everything is working fine but when i go in my griffins inventory it does this i am using the primal fear mod so maybe its got something to do with the mod?
Tried this, didn't work. Tried Verifying Files, didn't work. I can't play my own server, because it keeps crashing just when it's about to open at WyvernLava_Caves in Valguero.
Theoretically if I delete all the files then verify the files will it work?

I deleted my SavedArksLocal and created a new one. Then it launched well but I don't want to lose all my dinos.
I still have the previous SavedArksLocal as a backup. What can I do?

i fixer mine by downloading the ark map that i wanted to play.
I wanted to play on valguero, so i went to steam and downloaded the valguero map then it worked
it crashes on "PGS_Physics" which isn't in my files..
mines does this too but i found it but it doesnt say PGS_Physics it says sum else and i still havent fixed my game

maybe if it crashes after loading screen while you playing than uninstall the content folder than verify the game files on steam than they will redownload it might be like up to 20 gb of a download so it might take a while but it should fix the unknown file that causes the crash

just update the map you like to play on steam and it will work, for example type ark Valguero then update or download

Hello, I have the same problem with Fjordur, the game is loading and it crashes at supply crates.. BUT in the ingame folder, there is no fjordur map.. I dont know what to do

Epic always has this shitty problems the same happens with Rocket League, the game closes when you start it
i am currently do the same fix, idk if it has worked yet on my PC... but i went to
"C:\Program Files\Epic Games\ARKSurvivalEvolved" to find the same information that he used to delete... i will update this when i make sure it works...
let you know, it worked when i did it this way... you just have to click the three dots in your epic library and hit verify after you delete the files.... it does take a couple hours (at least for me it did)

easy fix is to verify integrity of steam files this method wasn't working but verifying integrity of files did like so more people can see this
After playing for more than five minutes, my game crashes after i press the button "9" too much to eat berries, i restarted, ran the files, and lwoered my settings. i have an rtx 2070 super so idk wtf the problem is
idk why because i get into my server play for 5 or so mins and then it crashes even if i dont move or walk around it will crash

if you dont feel like loading up the game/ re doing it if you have more files to delete you can just delete them all(within the folder) it will work i just tested.
