Man you really saved me with the backup you had us do at the beginning. I just upgraded to a 3090 and i kept getting the blue screen of death and have spent all day trying to figure it out but that reset just fixed it completely. You the man
POSSIBLE FIX: if u tried this and didn’t make a backup or ur backup didn’t work (like me) revert all the optimization settings in the video then if you need the default files that were replaced at 19:00 have a friend email you them (very simple process) and replace them. Lastly delete the command prompt in steam(17:38) ,restart your pc after everything and you should be good to go hopefully this helps if not good luck

It caused really bad texture bugs for me. Dodos are now some kind of biological anomaly for me, they just grow outcrops. I'm pretty sure that the optimisation did this.

I play ark via the Xbox game pass and a lot of major steps in this video I couldnt do because I can't access the game files. However following every other step in this video made my game from absolutely unplayable to pretty smooth👍🏽amazing video, I can only imagine it works eeeven better with the steam or epic games version

I have to personally thank you for this optimization guide for ark even though im 2 years late it still works like a charm you actually saved me from completely deleting and reinstalling the game.
For the FPS booster config folder- when you apply that, it seemed to reset all the previous changes you make on the in-game side, so you might want to do the in game settings after the config part (around 18:13 in the video)

Its stupid how much this increased my fps, i could barely play 20 fps at 1280x720 with minimum graphics now i can play 1980x1080 with fairly high graphics at above 60fps constant. Thanks a ton

My 1080ti just shat itself so I changed to a 10 year old hd7700, the game ran, just, on everything low but after a week the fps dropped to unplayable levels, not sure why? Anyways I followed ur guide and I'm happy to say my frames have doubled and with a higher resolution! You sir are clearly a genius and should probably head up the space program at NASA. Kudos.
Absolutely love this guide. Around 11:30 you mention launching the game in extremely low memory mode using epic and steam. I play the xbox version through the microsoft store and was wondering how to apply this

@@scoppysendwich801 Yea the memory isn't the problem there's a problem somewhere else because i'm running a ryzen 5 3550h 4 cores and 8 threads with 16gb ram and a 6gb graphics card and i get above 100fps on ark on high settings. Then again ark is a cpu intensive game. So the problem is somewhere else
Thanks helped me a lot! My game looked kinda bad cause I had some visually glitched pixel patterns ingame and had like 30-40 fps. Now i got like 70-110 FPS and the visual glitch is also gone. My resolution scale is maxed out. And the game looks great!

I went from playing with low res and low graphics at 50 fps, and after the tutorial i can play with almost all epic settings and max resolution with over 70 fps. and i am only playing on a $600 laptop.

Nice, now i can go to online server with this solution around 45-60 FPS, and not even so much stuttering than before, and without decreasing graphics quality that are all Medium and all settings uncheck except SSAO, high quality Aniso, and high quality LOD, light bloom, shaft Really crazy, can't believe it fixes stuttering ( before i was like dropping much to 20 fps many times, now i go like god onto the online ) thanks for the solution !👍👍keep up good work
Anyone know why after about an hour of playing Ark, my FPS start to slowly decrease? When I first launch the game I get around 120-150fps, after an hour 80-100, and at 2 hours 60-80. It’s really annoying having to restart my game every hour to have the best fps.

The reason this has increased my fps is because the game is now running in MS Paint mode LOL. I have an RTX 3080 and thought i'd use this to gain some fps to increase my fps in epic, only now my game is set to epic and looks worse than low settings.. have i done something wrong? or was the goal for the video to sacrifice the visual quality below low in order to gain fps?

Both of these not even set to how Panjno has recommended (just after following the steps to install the software and optimise Windows) Admit I didn't test it before so I can't say for sure what the difference is but I'm curious to revert back and see exactly what the difference is. My PC: ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming / Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB DDR4 / MSI GTX 1660 Super But I have given my wife my old PC and hers set to 'High' (without Panjno settings again) is coming out at minimum 50 fps and her PC specs are: ASUS Sabretooth 990FX R2.0 / FX 8350 / 16GB DDR3 / GTX 770 But safe to say it's a massive increase and it's great that someone has taken the time to do this. Now I / We can play Ark and really enjoy it the way it should be.

Some of the actions taken in this video were already patched into the game. Some are actions that accomplish the same result up to 3 separate times. Some are old version of the game shades that make it look like play-doh. Some are butchered configs and some are just turning down visual settings...

wow. im using windows 11 and this still works for me. im running mid-high settings with abut 95% res scale. Before i ysed this i was between 40-66 fps but now im laying between 80-100 fps- Befotre i downloaded this i used low-mid settings
been playing a choppy game for quite some time now at around 30 fps, applying all these fixes has me at 90 avg fps, the biggest one id say is launching it in low memory mode. Thanks a lot ♥
SOLUTION TO REVERT CHANGES:If want to have ur game not look like booty cheeks and REVERT the changes, open ark with the reset game resolution. Put settings to like the settings u desire then restart ur pc and it should be fixed.

I use 4060 ti with 16 gigs and max fps at epic settings is 20

could it work if i delete the 19:00 files and verify the game again? that way it would reinstall them i think
Why should you want to reset to what the default settings was? Does changing these settings greatly affect your computer in other ways?

I've got specific plants that are solid red. Interestingly, once I harvest the plant, the correct texture appears during the 'decay' animation.

Fps gained was minimal but it is noticeably smoother in demanding situations that normally chugged frames. Cheers.

dont do this its gonna boost your fps but you will have fps spikes and really big ones
Some of the actions taken in this video were already patched into the game. Some are actions that accomplish the same result up to 3 separate times. Some are old version of the game shades that make it look like play-doh. Some are butchered configs and some are just turning down visual settings...

thanks for the video and the settings packages that helped my gaming on offical server a ton at one point i couldn't even turn my screen was almost not responding while playing and i did this and i have no issues and game looks better then i have ever had just need a fix like this for atlas

wow. im using windows 11 and this still works for me. im running mid-high settings with abut 95% res scale. Before i ysed this i was between 40-66 fps but now im laying between 80-100 fps- Befotre i downloaded this i used low-mid settings
been playing a choppy game for quite some time now at around 30 fps, applying all these fixes has me at 90 avg fps, the biggest one id say is launching it in low memory mode. Thanks a lot ♥

SOLUTION TO REVERT CHANGES:If want to have ur game not look like booty cheeks and REVERT the changes, open ark with the reset game resolution. Put settings to like the settings u desire then restart ur pc and it should be fixed.
